San Pol de Mar (in Catalan and officially since 1981, Sant Pol de Mar) is a municipality of the region of the Maresme , in the province of Barcelona , located on the coast between Calella and Canet de Mar , in Catalonia , Spain.
This coastal town arose around the monastery of San Pablo , in the 10th century . Traditionally it was a village of humble fishermen until towards the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th and thanks to the presence of the Maresme railway line it was discovered by the Catalan bourgeoisie and well-being classes, who chose it as a summer resort for its charm. and proximity to Barcelona . That is why the summer residences of these families are still present in San Pol de Mar, as well as some modernist houses.

Tossa de Mar Costa Brava Catalan Spain | Top tourist sights and things to do Visit Tour

Only in Costa Brava can you have the thrill of climbing the one Via Ferrata route above the sea in all of Europe, or skydive ten months a year from one of the best drop zones in the world, Empuriabrava. Not only that but you can also Kayak along the stunning Riu Ter, golf till your heart's content, and hike to ancient castles with views for miles… all under the perfect summer sun.
We kayaked the Riu Ter, hiked up to the ancient castle of Montgri and we skydived in Empuriabra, which is one of the top skydiving spots in Europe.
We tried out the only Via Ferrata above the sea, Cala Moli in Sant Feliu de Guixols, which was super fun. And the Costa Brava is also known for its golf courses so we shot a few balls at the Pitch and Putt golf course in Gualta.
After so much fun and things to do, we enjoyed the spa of the Ballena Alegre campground.
Overall it was a fantastic end to a fun-filled experience trying out a few of the different activities available in Costa Brava.

One of the things that I love about Barcelona is that the city comes with a beach. There's nothing better than to chill on the beach after work. But let's face it: The beaches in Barcelona are not the most beautiful ones. They are usually crowded, not the cleanest and there is always music coming from all sides. Especially during the summer months this can be too much if you just want to relax a bit on the beach.
Well, in this video I am going to show you some amazing alternatives. Beaches that aren't far away from Barcelona but already so much more enjoyable and some of them wit crystal clear water.
And the best is: you can reach all of them in train from Barcelona. So there is no need to rent a car because that can also get super expensive during the summer months.
So for all of you that are staying in Barcelona for more than just 2 or 3 days, make sure to check out some of these beaches!
