Boca de Yuma (República Dominicana) 4K
Boca de Yuma es un pueblo de la provincia La Altagracia, en República Dominicana al este del país. La palabra Yuma es una voz taina con la cual los aborígenes denominaron esta región y su nombre se debe a que está ubicado en el margen sur de la desembocadura del río que lleva el mismo nombre.
Las costas de Boca de Yuma están bañadas por el Mar Caribe lo que la convierte en un lugar exclusivo que no puede ser encontrado en ningún otro lugar del mundo, la naturaleza y el clima de la zona son agradables para la vida, ofreciendo paz y tranquilidad para sus habitantes. El área se encuentra a unos kilómetros del Parque Nacional del Este, uno de los más grandes del país, una península de forma trapezoide de 310 kilómetros cuadrados. La Bahía de Boca de Yuma es un lugar ideal para la pesca y excursiones en botes y darse un chapuzón.
Para ofrecer una idea de como fueron los inicios de este poblado, las primeras familias que afluyeron al mismo eran procedentes de diversas regiones del país. La primera persona que habitó el lugar, fue Pedro Sifuentes Portugalete, Robinson Crusoe. En el año 1880 llegaron los primeros pescadores entre ellos John Bernardo, Wilson Charles, naturales de la isla de [St Thomas]. Esos fueron los primeros en construir viviendas y procrear familias, optando más adelante por dedicarse al transporte de madera y constituyendo así lo que formalmente hoy es el poblado de Boca de Yuma.
El 4 de marzo del ano 1919 se produjo el desembarco de los marinos norteamericanos por el puerto de Boca de Yuma, en la Goleta María Consuelo, capitaneada por el señor Catalino Vidal, procedentes de San Pedro de Macorís. Se establecieron en lo que fue la primera escuela de Boca de Yuma. Las cuevas donde, según la tradición, se guarecía la nave del pirata Cofresí tras de haber hecho sus excursiones por las aguas del mar de las Antillas. La Cueva de Bernard lleva ese nombre por estar dentro de la propiedad de John Bernard, uno de los fundadores de la comunidad.
En el año 1966, el Club Náutico de Santo Domingo Incorporado instaló una extensión de la institución deportiva y recreativa, a iniciativa de Don Alberto Bonetti Burgos quien viajaba frecuentemente atraído por la pesca y la cacería de palomas, Boca de Yuma tenía su fuerte y existen todavía allá los restos de un cañón de costa que se cree fuera el mismo que pidió al Rey de España el Arzobispo Fernando de Navarrete para defensa y protección del Santuario de Nuestra Señora de La Altagracia en Higüey.
Se recuerda que allá por el año 1877 una expedición revolucionaria por Boca de Yuma organizada por los baecista de Curazao, dejando sumergido otro cañón. Ambos cañones fueron rescatados y colocados como ornatos históricos en el parque faro de dicha comunidad en el 1997, otros cañones existen todavía en la Playita.

Das 5 * Hilton La Romana ist das ehemalige Dreams La Romana
In Bayahibe is gut erreichbar vom Flughafen Punta Cana ( knapp eine stunde )aber auch vom Flughafen in Santo Domingo (ca.1 1/2 stunden ) der Flug Hafen La Romana, liegt supernah, quasi gleich gegenüber. Man sieht und hört ihn allerdings nicht.

Das Hotel ist aufgeteilt in Familien Seite und einen Teil nur für Erwachsene. und hat auch noch einen premium club.
Es gibt 418 Zimmer in Total. Aufgeteilt in verschiedene Kategorien.
Kinderklub und eine Teen-zone damit sich auch die Teenager nicht langweilen.
Ausser dem Buffet Restaurant gibt es noch 5 weitere restaurants die Pizza am Pool nicht mitgezählt.
Auch Bars und lounges gibt es reichlich.

We took the guagua bus from Barahona to the small town of Paraíso, then a mototaxi for the short ride to the San Rafael river and beach before taking the bus back to Barahona. A must visit if you are in the area! One of our top 10 favorite days over 3+ months in the Dominican Republic.

Shot from a Rock positioned at Route 44 by the coast of the caribean sea. Nice place where you have a breathtaking view into the bay of San Rafael.
There is a beautiful waterfall which falls onto rocks and forms an amazing turquoise natural swimming pool. The water is cold, which is a bit a bit of a novelty in the Dominican Republic. San Rafael is more or less an untouched beauty.

Cette semaine, partons pour le village Boca de Yuma.
Boca de Yuma est un village de la province de La Altagracia, il est situé à l'ouest de l'embouchure du Rio Yuma, près de la mer des Caraïbes. Le mot Yuma est un nom indigène Taíno (peuple indigène des Caraïbes).
C'est un village de pêcheurs, paisible et tranquille, typiquement dominicain avec ses maisons colorées, ses joueurs de dominos, ses enfants qui courent dans les rues... A quelques kilomètres à l'ouest du village se trouve le parc national Del Este , l'un des plus grands parcs nationaux du pays, avec une superficie de 310 kilomètres carrés.
Je ne dévoile pas tous les secrets car il y a beaucoup de choses a découvrir dans ce village, ce que j'appelle des petits trésors cachés!!! Pour ceux qui sont intéressés, vous pouvez me contacter en message privée!

Boca de Yuma is a village in the province of La Altagracia, it is located west of the mouth of the Rio Yuma, near the Caribbean Sea. The word Yuma is an indigenous name Taíno (indigenous people of the Caribbean).
It is a fishing village, peaceful and quiet, typically Dominican with its colorful houses, its domino players, its children who run in the streets ... A few kilometers west of the village is the Del Este national park , one of the largest national parks in the country, with an area of 310 square kilometers.

✈️ Unser Hinflug von Frankfurt nach Punta Cana mit Eurowings Discover (Flugnummer 4Y2) dauerte 9 Stunden und 30 Minuten über den großen Teich und zurück ca. 8 Stunden 30 Minuten (Flugnummer 4Y3). Flug und Personal waren top, jederzeit wieder!
Den Tagesausflug nach Saona haben wir über AndyTours gebucht, sehr zu empfehlen!
☀️ Wetter: tagsüber ca. 32°C / nachts ca. 25°C
Die Luftfeuchtigkeit betrug abends zum Teil über 90%, da es immer mal wieder sehr kurze Regenschauer gegeben hat, die aber mehr Erfrischung als störend waren.
