The best roadtrip around Gran Canaria is this circular ride, that goes around the island of Gran Canaria on the Canary island. We visit Arucas, Maspalomas Sand Dunes, Mirador El Balcón and more.
With the car we drive from Las Palmas to Arucas where we enjoy some amazing architecture. Then we enjoy some amazing views on the West Side of Gran Canaria with cliffs that you will only see on this side of Gran Canaria. The best place to see those views is from Mirador El Balcón.
From Mirador El Balcón we drive to the famous Sand Dunes at Maspalomas. Of course we visit some volcanic pools at La Aldea but not much later we arrive at the sand dunes in Gran Canaria.
We visit the Sand Dunes both from Maspalomas side as Playa del Inglés. After visiting this great sand dunes nature reserve in Gran Canaria, also sometimes seen as the desert of Gran Canaria.

Santa Lucia de Tirajana walking tour ✨ Charming small town to visit in Gran Canaria
???? Santa Lucia de Tirajana is a small town in the mountains of Gran Canaria. This video was filmed on December 13th, during the Festival of Santa Lucia, the Patron Saint of Santa Lucia, which why it looks so crowded. If you visit on a normal day, the town won't be as busy with people and you will be able to enjoy the town much more, although the fiesta atmosphere is also very nice.

???? Today's walking tour takes us to Santa Lucia, a town and municipality in Gran Canaria. Although it's a small town, we recommend visiting it for the breathtaking views along the way, as well as to see the beautiful traditional buildings. Make sure to also visit the Santa Lucia church, which sits on top of the hill, overlooking the surrounding area.

Il y a quelques espaces de stationnement qui sont disponibles en face de la Plaza León y Castillo. Nous avons réussi à garer notre voiture à cet endroit.
La Plaza León y Castillo est composée de jolis bâtiments qui abritent l'Hôtel de Ville, le théâtre municipal ainsi qu'une église. Une fontaine embellit le centre de la place.
Comme les portes de l'église étaient ouvertes, nous sommes entrés à l'intérieur. Cette église a été érigée à la fin du 18e siècle. Le plafond est en bois et les murs blancs sont ornés de quelques tableaux.
Le retable situé derrière l'autel est très attrayant. On peut y admirer également de belles grand toiles ainsi que des jolis vitraux.
Par la suite, nous avons traversé un joli parc agrémenté de plantes et différentes espèces de palmiers.
Devant le poste de police, on retrouve une sculpture représentant un couple de danseurs. Cette sculpture, surnommée La Malagueña, rend hommage au folklore de cette ville.
Non loin de là, on retrouve le musée ethnographique Tanit qui est hébergé dans un manoir qui date également du 18e siècle.
La visite de ce musée, au coût de 6 euros, donne un aperçu de l'histoire et des coutumes des anciens habitants de Lanzarote. Nous ne l'avons cependant pas visité.
Nous avons arpenté quelques rues de cette charmante petite ville et avons découvert de jolis bâtiments qui sont représentatifs de l'architecture traditionnelle des îles Canaries dont les teintes de blanc, de vert et de noir prédominent.
C'est le cas entre autres de la Casa Ajei qui a été transformée en centre culturel.

Maspalomas Dunes are sand dunes located on the south coast of Gran Canaria. A 404-hectare area they have been protected as a nature reserve since 1987. They were formed by sand from the now subdued marine shelf, when it was laid dry during the last ice age and the wind blew the sand towards the coast of the island!

Places to see in ( Canary Islands - Spain ) Playa del ingles
Playa del ingles is a sea resort in the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria. It is part of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, and is a popular tourist attraction. There is some dispute upon the origin of the resort's name. One explanation is that an English bohemian moved to the untouched area early in the 20th Century. However, it has been stated that the Bohemian was actually French, but was mistaken as English by the locals.
Playa del Inglés forms part a large sea resort zone, together with the adjacent resort towns San Agustín, Maspalomas and Sonnenland. The Maspalomas Dunes are situated south of the resort.
The area remained largely unspoiled until the 1960s when large scale tourist development changed the resort. Many of these constructions were large concrete tower blocks, however many have undergone renovation in recent years to make them more sympathetic to the surrounding area. There are a number of large shopping centres in the resort with the 'Yumbo' and 'Kasbah' being the largest.
Playa del Inglés has been associated with gay travelers for over 25 years, but is now a clubbing town. Despite the fact that the Canaries are primarily Catholic, the locals have embraced gay tourism. The main area for gay and gay-friendly bars, clubs and accommodation is the Yumbo Centrum shopping centre and its surrounding area. There are at least 30 venues catering to gay mainstream and specific tastes including: leather, drag, cabaret, sport, cruising and men/women only.

Las Burras is located along the coast of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, in the south of Gran Canaria, one of the most important tourist resorts in Canary Islands. It is a very busy beach but, stretching 300 metres in length and 110 metres in width, there is room to sunbathe comfortably on a lounger or relax under a sunshade. The beach is sheltered by a breakwater, making it safe and calm – perfect for the little ones to enjoy themselves. Precisely because of that, this pleasant toasted-sand beach is a favourite with families.
