My Top Tips For Salou, Spain | Resort Guide
I have been visiting Salou for the last 20 years, most recently in June 2023. Here are my top tips of things to see and do, and things to help you get the most out of your holiday.
We booked our holiday with Tui and stayed at the Salou Princess for 7 nights. Check out my other video for a review and hotel tour.
When you are in Salou I suggest to get a bus card which will allow you to use the local busses. Journeys for as little as 1 Euro per journey. You only need 1 card per family.
PORT AVENTURA WORLD
We purchased our tickets in advance from they were gate ready so no queuing on arrival. We paid £46 for 1 day. You can get park hopper tickers, different lengths and set day tickets. We chose an open dated ticket.
If you have access needs and are unable to queue, head to guest services on arrival and you can get a band that allows you + 3 people to go in the exit on each ride once.
You will need to show some form of evidence such as blue badge, or Pip letter etc.

At house of Illusion they also have West End Show and Bingo Bangas. Great for all the family!

Salou is a municipality of the comarca of Tarragonès, in the province of Tarragona, in Catalonia, Spain. The city is approximately 10 km from Tarragona and Reus on the Costa Daurada and 112 km from Barcelona. Aside from its string of beaches interrupted by rocky coves, and its landscaped promenade, one of its main attractions is the PortAventura World resort.
Salou is founded by the Greeks in the 6th century BC., the city constituted an outstanding commercial port during the Middle Ages and the Modern Age. Throughout the 20th century, Salou, located on the so-called Costa Dorada , became an important tourist center, a condition that it maintains today.

Salou - A great family destination
The town of Salou is a favourite destination with British tourists; it’s located on the Costa Dorada, or ‘the Gold Coast', in the Catalonia region of Spain.

There are fabulous beaches such as Llevant Beach which is the busiest of them or for a more tranquil beach day out try Llarga Beach.
A great meeting place and also a great place for walks is Paseo Maritimo of which I have some pictures in this video. For the tourist in you why not visit the lighthouse and the Church of Santa Maria. And don't forget the iluminated fountain.
Don't forget the must see trips to Port Aventura and Barcelona where you can visit the Camp Nou which is the home stadium of FC Barcelona. While in Barcelona visit the Gothic quarter and see the Sagrada Familia cathedral.
