SPAIN TOP 10 - Sierra de la Partacua- Valle del Tena , HUESCA, España
La Partacua o Partagua es la denominación histórica de uno de los tres quiñones en los que se dividía geográfica y administrativamente el Valle de Tena, en Huesca (España). Este tipo de demarcaciones fueron muy habituales entre los siglos XVI y XVIII, especialmente en valles y territorios de montaña con abundancia de pastos.
El Quiñón de la Partacua comprendía las poblaciones de Tramacastilla, Sandiniés, Escarrilla, Piedrafita, Búbal y Saqués, todas ellas ubicadas en la ribera derecha del río Gállego. Su nombre proviene de la Sierra de la Partacua, montaña en la que se enclava y entre cuyas cimas destacan la Peña Telera (2.762 m) y Punta Escarra (2.760 m). La recorren los cursos fluviales de Escarra y Lana Mayor, afluentes del Gállego. Actualmente dicho territorio se reparte entre los municipios de Sallent de Gállego y Biescas.
La Partacua or Partagua is the historical denomination of one of the three quiñones in which the Tena Valley was divided geographically and administratively, in Huesca (Spain). These types of demarcations were very common between the 16th and 18th centuries, especially in valleys and mountain territories with an abundance of pastures.
The Quiñón de la Partacua included the towns of Tramacastilla, Sandiniés, Escarrilla, Piedrafita, Búbal and Saqués, all located on the right bank of the Gállego river. Its name comes from the Sierra de la Partacua, a mountain where it is located and whose peaks include the Pera Telera (2,762 m) and Punta Escarra (2,760 m). It runs through the river courses of Escarra and Lana Mayor, tributaries of the Gállego. Currently said territory is divided between the municipalities of Sallent de Gállego and Biescas.
