In today’s video I’m taking a look at the most beautiful towns in Colorado and the prettiest places to visit. The vast Rocky Mountains draw in visitors looking for a laidback vacation with amazing culture and attractions.
Enjoy a jam-packed day in one of the national parks or ski at one of the largest resorts in the country. Whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed as each of these towns offers stunning views and one-of-a-kind scenery.
Some of the towns on this list are lesser known and include some hidden gems. As a local, I go off the tourist path to find some unique and scenic towns to visit and with little tourist crowds.
From skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking, and camping in the summer, outdoor activities are a way of life in Colorado. The Centennial State is an ideal travel destination and one of the best places to visit for outdoor pursuits in every season.

The list begins with Monarch Crest Scenic Tram, which takes visitors to the top of the Continental Divide. Winery and distillery tours are two more options. While there's only one distillery tour available in Salida, there are two options for winery tours. Those who are looking for more educational activities will enjoy some time at the Salida Museum, which boasts some wonderful historical artifacts and knowledgeable docents. This is a quick video highlighting the best hiking trails in Salida CO It provides a quick overview of six local trails, each of which has its own special qualities. The video begins with the Hunts Lake Trail. The lake itself is peaceful and picture-perfect while the trail up features some breathtaking valley views. The Browns Creek Waterfall Trail is very impressive, especially in those summers after a snowy winter. The trail travels through meadows and forests, so it offers a nice variety of scenery. If you're hiking in July or August, you're sure to be amazed by the wildflowers on Greens Creek Trail. The trail has a good mix of tree-covered and open sections, although it is moderately difficult. If you're used to high elevations, you might want to consider taking the Waterdog Lakes trail. It's not very long, but it does max out at 11,394 feet above sea level. The trail features wonderful scenery along the way and gorgeous alpine lakes at the top. The Rainbow Trail covers 12.5 miles, making it a good choice if you're looking for a day hike. Garden of the Gods is a popular natural landmark nestled at the foot of Pikes Peak on the west side of Colorado Springs. Known for its massive red rocks sticking straight out of the ground, tourists come from all over the world to wander the trails, see the wildlife and witness the formations for themselves.
The Garden of the Gods Park & The Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center are both free and open to the public.
Yes, you can drive through the Garden of the Gods and there are several parking areas. There is no charge to visit the Garden. It is a great place to visit!
