Safi City Tour l Morocco Video Walk & Surf【4K Drone】????♀️☀️

An industrial centre and thriving port, Safi is a lot less picturesque than neighbouring coastal towns but does offer an insight into the day-to-day life of a Moroccan city. Most tourists stop here en route to or from Essaouira to visit the giant pottery works that produce the typical brightly coloured Safi pottery.

Top 10 Places To Visit in Morocco

Travel destination Morocco.
Located in North West Africa.
Morocco’s population is about 37 million.
Its capital city is Rabat.
And largest city is Casablanca.
Morocco’s economy is 122 billion dollars.
Which counts it as a fifth largest economy in Africa.
Morocco has influence in Africa and Arab world.
It has both Arab and European culture.
Morocco has hot summer climate and it’s a bio diverse country.
Tourism has a major role in its economy.
It has well developed tourism industry which lays on its coast and culture.
Morocco has cheap places for the visitors.
Morocco is full of rich history, intense culture, breathtaking natural beauty and endless opportunities for travellers to excite the senses.
Walking through any Moroccan destination, you can smell fresh mint leaves, incense, perfume, leather and smoky coals sizzling underneath a roasting tagine.
Places to visit in morocco.
Marrakech.
The most visited city in Morocco, Marrakech is a bustling hub of travellers and locals alike.
It showcases traditional Moroccan culture in an accessible way for tourists, with a sprawling Medina selling handicrafts and souvenirs and the Instagram-famous Jardin Majorelle boasting gorgeous architecture and landscaping.
Jema El Fnaa is the main square of Marrakech, though I believe the true charm of the city lies outside this area.

Rabat.
Morocco’s capital city is packed with attractions and historical monuments making it one of the best places to visit in Morocco.
Visit the Modern Art Museum and National Archaeological Museum for an enlightening insight into Moroccan culture and art.
Or tour the Royal Palace and see where Moroccan royalty lives.
Other impressive architectural structures include the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and its neighbor, the Hassan Tower, which was meant to be the largest minaret in the world.
Casablanca.
Though Rabat is the country’s capital city, Casablanca is the biggest city with a population of about 3.4 million.
This busy coastal city is one of the more developed places in Morocco, with a thriving entertainment scene and growing business sector.
Chefchaouen. is a labyrinth hill town of blue-on-blue buildings that has an incredibly photogenic glow.
There isn't much actual sightseeing to be done, and that's one of the town's main attractions.
A visit here is simply about wandering the medina alleys and lapping up all that colorful architecture.
Erg Chebbi's Dunes.
To see Morocco's Sahara dune fields, you need to head east of the High Atlas spine to the far eastern desert region that sits near the border with Algeria.
The most popular destination for grand and rippling sand dunes is Erg Chebbi.
This is prime territory for dune-surfing, four-wheel-drive dune-bashing, and sunrise and sunset camel trekking, usually combined with an overnight stay in a tented desert camp right amid the dune field.

Fes el Bali.
Fes is Morocco's other big cultural destination.
Compared to its sister Imperial City to the south, Fes is much less gentrified. The medina here (called Fes el Bali) is a maze of skinny, back alleyways where it's near impossible to not get lost.
Amid the souqs area, you'll find the tanneries, where the huge vats of colored dyes are one of the city's iconic sights.
Oudaias Kasbah.
Rabat's Oudaias Kasbah neighborhood has to be one of the country's most picturesque.
This is a peaceful and perfectly quaint district that feels miles away from the city, despite being right in the city's core.
Inside the walls of this old fortress, the lanes of neat white-and-blue houses rimmed by colorful flowerpots and flapping washing have a lost-in-time atmosphere that's hard to beat.
Asilah.
popular seaside resort town. It’s a hot summer spot for Moroccans; travelers who want to avoid crowds had best visit in spring or fall. Whitewashed buildings complete the picturesque scene. It has a good selection of budget hotels and restaurants, and a growing art scene. About 2.5 km (1.5 miles) south of Asilah lies Paradise beach, a wonderful wide stretch of sand, popular with locals and tourists.
High Atlas.
The High Atlas is a mountain range that runs from the coast of Morocco towards Alergia. The range includes Toubkal National Park, which contains the Morocco’s highest peak, Jbel Toubkal (4,160 meters/13,670 feet). The Berber village Imlil is a good place to start the climb of Toubkal. The tallest mountain range in North Africa.
Safi.
This Moroccan coastal city is ideal for surfers and beach bums. Safi isn’t very touristy, which is great for experiencing the local culture.

FEZ, MOROCCO (2023) | 7 BEST Things To Do In & Around Fez

Fez is located in northern Morocco and is commonly referred to as the country’s cultural capital. Dating back to the 9th century, Fez is known for its ancient, chaotic medina filled with madrasas, palaces, residences, mosques, and fountains from this period. It’s also home to the first university in the world according to the Guinness World Records.

???? WHERE WE STAYED (highly recommend!) - Palais Fes Yahya:

7. Explore the medina Fes el Bali
Fes el Bali is the oldest walled part of Fez. It consists of more than 9,000 narrow alleyways, so it’s a true maze. That’s why we recommend going on a guided tour here on your first day. Not only will you see the important historical sights and souks, but you’ll also feel more at ease wandering these tight alleys.

☑️ Guided tour of Fes el Bali:

6. Get a view over the medina
The old city of Fes is surrounded by hills that offer panoramic views. The Marinid Tombs are located on the hill that lies to the north of the city. These monumental tombs were originally a royal necropolis for the Marinid dynasty which ruled in the 13th to 15th centuries. And although the tombs are in a heavily ruined state today, it’s still fun to walk around here and take in the views of the entire walled medina area from above.

5. Stroll around the Jnan Sbil Gardens
If you need to escape the hustle and bustle of the medina, then head to the only public garden in the area. This peaceful slice of nature is home to various birds, plants, flowers, and palm tree-lined walkways. Stroll around the gardens to recharge your batteries.

4. Admire the Bou Inania Madrasa
Located in the medina, this ‘madrasa’, or Islamic school of learning, is one of the few religious buildings in the city that non-Muslims are allowed to enter. It was constructed in the 14th century and up until the 1960s, this was an actual functioning theological school. Today, you can admire the beautiful carved woodwork, marble courtyard, mosaic tilework and decorations.

3. Take in the Smells of the Tanneries
The tanneries of Fez are one of the city’s most famous attractions. Located in the old town, the tanneries have been the bustling center of the city's leather industry since the medieval era. The only way to get the iconic bird’s-eye views over the dying pits is to visit the leather stores surrounding the tannery area.

2. Go on a day trip to Volubilis & Meknes
One of the things we liked about Fez was its proximity to other interesting destinations. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Volubilis is situated a one and a half hour drive from Fez. Home to the best-preserved Roman ruins in all of Morocco, this site was one of the most remote outposts of the Roman Empire.

☑️ Day tour to Volubilis & Meknes from Fez:

1. Go on a day trip to Chefchaouen
Another great day trip from Fez goes to Chefchaouen, which is a 3.5 hour drive away. It’s known as the Blue City thanks to its picturesque streets filled with houses painted in different shades of blue. The best way to explore these alleyways is to simply get lost and take photos.

☑️ Chefchaouen day tour from Fez:

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HUSTLER IN SAFI / A WALK THROUGH THE MEDINA

We arrived in Safi or like the locals call it: Asfi. This is a nice town, we realize that right away, also we have been here years ago. Would it be the same? We did like it back then. In this video I want to go and take a look at the medina and around, maybe see some pottery and whatever will surprise us. Unfortunately there was one aggressive hustler/scammer that was really difficult to shake off without really threatening him. But we managed after a while but steered out of the medina to see some other things - like the Portuguese fort. Anyway, let's check out the video and see for yourself.

BEST SARDINES EVER IN MOROCCO / EXPLORING SAFI AND EATING THE BEST FISH I EVER HAD

This is not only a food video but also one where we explore Safi a little bit - but actually what it is mainly is a sardine hunt. Which shouldn't be so hard in the sardine capital of Morocco, right? We walked around a little and stopped at a very authentic little place. And they served us a feast of grilled sardines with other things and it was just to die for - definitely best sardines I ever had. Come on, guys. And do share this video if you like.

International Folklore Festival In Safi | Morocco

International Folklore Festival In Safi

Safi, formerly Asfi, Atlantic port city, western Morocco. Safi was in turn inhabited by Carthaginians (who named it Asfi), Romans, and Goths and finally by Muslims in the 11th century.

It was a ribāṭ (a type of fortified monastery) in the 13th century and was mentioned by the historian Ibn Khaldūn.

The Portuguese occupied Safi (1508–41) and built a citadel, which now surrounds the 18th-century Keshla (military enclave).

Safi prospered under the late 16th- and early 17th-century Saʿdī sultans. Extending along the coast and climbing the inland plateau, the city is a mixture of medieval and modern architecture.

Safi port serves Marrakech, about 85 miles (140 km) to the southeast, and exports phosphates from Youssoufia, with which it is connected by rail. It is a major fishing port with sardine canneries and also produces textiles.

The city has chemical (phosphate-based) and food-processing industries located nearby to the south and is known for its pottery.

In the hinterland around Safi, cereals (primarily barley), olives, sheep, goats, and cattle are raised. Pop. (2004) 284,750.

Please. accept our welcome to Morocco the best place to have one of the best moments in your life.

Kind Regards.
