Uzbekistan by Train! | A Chaotic Travel Day From Tashkent to Bukhara and Back.
Traveling abroad isn't always easy as I learned the hard way on my recent trip to Central Asia. In this video I'll be covering a day trip that I took to the beautiful city of Bukhara in Uzbekistan, which didn't go exactly to plan. This journey saw me experience the country's high speed rail network to Bukhara and then back to Tashkent on their normal trains. Enjoy!

Samarkand ist für einen Tagesausflug fast ein wenig knapp, eine Übernachtung ist empfehlenswert.

Today this wonderful city is more famous thanks to Amir Temur (Tamerlane), who was born in the neighboring village of Hodja-Ilgar. Becoming the ruler, he turned Shakhrisabz into his residence and ordered to build the palace, known as Ak-Saray (White palace). By the way, at that time Kesh was renamed to Shakhrisabz, which means in Persian “Green city”
Exploring A Food Market in Uzbekistan
In today's episode, we try nuts, dates, bread, sweets, and local baked goods at a food market in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The vendors and our guide Jasur Lourens were lovely and so kind and friendly. And the food, of course, was delicious! As vegans, it's sometimes hard to enjoy food markets around the world, but here we were able to eat a lot of stuff!

We started our trip in Uzbekistan in the capital of Tashkent, where we explored the surrounding Lake Charvak, Chimgan Mountains, and more. We stayed at the iconic but not necessarily recommendable Hotel Uzbekistan and two Airbnbs. We then took the Afrosiyob fast train to Samarkand, and then the old soviet train in first class to Bukhara. We then flew back to Tashkent on Uzbekistan Airways. We had an amazing trip!
