PUNTA DEL ESTE URUGUAY / First Impressions/ Weekend Guide
I spend a weekend in Punta del Este, Uruguay to record my first impressions about Punta del Este in off season and show you what to do, what to see and where to stay in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Watch this Punta del Este Weekend Guide in 4k for best quality.
Notes: I went in October and I know it's best to go in December/ January when everything is open but this way you won't get any crowds and the hotels are less expensive. The hotel I stayed in was Vik Playa in Jose Ignacio and the design/location was amazing even though I felt they were short staffed and needed to look after some hotel areas better. The art exhibition in Jose Ignacio was my highlight and it's called Fundacion Pablo Atchugarry and it's free. The restaurant open all year round on the beach is called La Huella.
Casapueblo in Uruguay is very nice to see even though I felt it was slightly overpriced (12 $ entry fee for a tiny museum and a few viewpoints).
The ferry to/from Buenos Aires is called Buquebus and it's a really great ferry experience is comparison to anything you'll find in Europe!
The local currency is the Uruguayan Peso and the exchange rate is currently 40 to 1 USD.
