San Alberto es un municipio del departamento del Cesar, ubicado al norte de Colombia. Fue fundado el 20 de mayo de 1955 por Luis Felipe Rivera Staper, quien decidió nombrarlo así debido a su grande devoción a San Alberto Magno. Se convirtió en municipio en noviembre del año 1967 siendo segregado del municipio del Río de Oro. Su clima es cálido, su vegetación muy diversa, tierras fértiles y fauna variada. Es considerado la puerta de oro del Caribe colombiano. Este municipio cuenta con diferentes zonas turísticas, parques, colegios, bibliotecas y empresas o cooperativas que son de gran importancia para la economía del municipio, que se basa principalmente en los cultivos de palma africana, arroz, maíz, caña de azúcar y explotaciones mineras.

CRUZANDO PUENTE SOBRE EL RIO MAGDALENA ENTRE PUERTO SALGAR Y LA DORADA
Un puente que es el límite entre los departamentos de Cundinamarca (Puerto Salgar) y Caldas (La Dorada), ahora con la construcción de la ruta del sol ya no es tan congestionado como lo fue hace un par de años atrás cuando por el circulaban cerca de 10 mil vehículos por día.

Sogamoso Dam - Hydro Power Plant
The Sogamoso Dam is a concrete-face rock-fill dam on the Sogamoso River in northern Colombia. It is located 30 kilometres (19 mi) west of Bucaramanga in Santander Department and 285 kilometres (177 mi) north of Bogotá. The primary purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power generation and its power plant has an installed capacity of 820 megawatts (1,100,000 hp) which increased Colombia's generating capacity by 10 percent.[1] Construction on the dam began in February 2009 and its first 273 MW Francis turbine-generator was commissioned on 1 December 2014. The other two generators were operational by 20 December 2014.[ The US$1.74 billion dam and power plant is owned by ISAGEN. INGETEC designed the dam in the 1990s and Impreglio was awarded the contract for construction.
The dam is 190 metres (620 ft) tall and withholds a 4,800 million cubic metres (3,900,000 acre⋅ft) reservoir. The power plant houses four 273 megawatts (366,000 hp) Francis turbine-generators. Its spillway is located on its left bank and controlled by four radial gates. It has a maximum discharge of 17,100 cubic metres per second (600,000 cu ft/s).The dam has been the subject of protests among locals as it relocated 160 families and negatively impact the livelihood of miners within the reservoir zone and fishers downstream. Relocation of the residents, construction of a new bridges and roads will cost US$202 million. A 100-metre (330 ft) wide protected area was established around the reservoir
La Central con 819 MW es la cuarta hidroeléctrica con mayor Capacidad Efectiva Neta en el país. Cuenta con la presa La Tora de 190 m de altura y una casa de máquinas con las tres unidades de generación más grandes de Colombia. Se encuentra ubicada en el departamento de Santander, en el cañón donde el río Sogamoso cruza la Serranía de La Paz.
El embalse Topocoro de 7.000 hectáreas aproximadamente, es uno de los más extensos del país y almacena el mayor volumen de agua con 4.800 millones de m3, está en jurisdicción de los municipios de Girón, Betulia, Zapatoca, Los Santos, Lebrija, San Vicente de Chucurí, Barrancabermeja, Puerto Wilches y Sabana de Torres que conforman su área de influencia.
Cumple con los requisitos de Mecanismo de Desarrollo Limpio (MDL), lo que confirma ante autoridades nacionales e internacionales su contribución a la mitigación del cambio climático.

Ecuador is affordable, and the lifestyle you can have on a typical Social Security check of $1,500 a month is very attractive. Budgets vary, and many live in Cuenca Ecuador on much less than $1,500 and others far exceed $1,500. We've met people living on under $1,000 while we've been here, so that is a possibility.

We get a portion of the rents in the form of dividends, and growth in value with the appreciation
