Puente Genil es un municipio español de la provincia de Córdoba, Andalucía, en su parte suroccidental, forma parte de la Campiña Sur Cordobesa y su término municipal limita con la provincia de Sevilla, su enclave geográfico es privilegiado, se encuentra en pleno centro geográfico de Andalucía, constituyendo una localización idónea a nivel de comunicaciones por ferrocarril y carretera.
El origen fundacional de Puente Genil se debe a la unión administrativa y demográfica entre la villa denominada Pontón de Don Gonzalo fundada en tiempos del rey Fernando III a cargo del II señor del Estado de Aguilar D. Gonzalo Yañez Dovinhal II, y emplazada en la margen derecha o cordobesa del río Genil, y el pequeño núcleo poblacional denominado Miragenil, sito en la orilla contraria y perteneciente administrativamente a la provincia de Sevilla.
Puente Genil cuenta con bastantes ejemplos de arquitectura civil, que van desde el puente que une los dos barrios históricos de la villa hasta casas palacio de los siglos XVIII y XIX, pasando por la arquitectura industrial de finales del XIX y principios del siglo XX que atestiguan el gran desarrollo económico que experimentó la localidad en esta época, en el apartado de arquitectura religiosa las distintas Iglesias de Puente Genil , agrupadas primero por las parroquias , santuarios, Ex -coventos , Ermitas y Capillas, son dignas de recorrer.
La dedicación por entero al negocio y el extremo cuidado puesto en la selección de las mejores uvas de la comarca, así como las excelentes cualidades de las botas de roble americano para la crianza del vino, hicieron posible que pronto las bodegas se consolidasen como empresas de reconocido prestigio en la zona. Precisamente, Moriles, junto a la cercana Montilla, otorgan su nombre a la Denominación de Origen Montilla-Moriles, cuyos caldos son reconocidos por sus especiales cualidades como vinos finos y amontillados.
El término municipal de Puente Genil cuenta con un yacimiento arqueológico de gran importancia, el conjunto arqueológico de Fuente Álamo, en que se han encontrado vestigios de una ocupación ininterrumpida de unos mil años.

Ronda is a mountaintop city in Spain’s Malaga province that’s set dramatically above a deep gorge. This gorge (El Tajo) separates the city’s circa-15th-century new town from its old town, dating to Moorish rule. Puente Nuevo, a stone bridge spanning the gorge, has a lookout offering views. New town’s Plaza de Toros, a legendary 18th-century bullring, is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

Ronda is a historic town with dramatic history also known to be the birthplace of bullfighting. But these days it offers a much more laid-back atmosphere with great hiking opportunities, heaps of sightseeing as well as great restaurants and tapas bars. Ronda is one of the oldest towns in Spain.

Ronda is a mountaintop city in Spain’s Malaga province that’s set dramatically above a deep gorge. This gorge (El Tajo) separates the city’s circa-15th-century new town from its old town, dating to Moorish rule. Puente Nuevo, a stone bridge spanning the gorge, has a lookout offering views. New town’s Plaza de Toros, a legendary 18th-century bullring, is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

Built in 1785 by the same architect who built the Puente Nuevo (“New Bridge” in english), it can host 5,000 spectators. One of the best bullfighters in Spain founded the bullfighting school of Ronda.

It is the largest white village in Andalusia and one of the most beautiful pueblo blancos in Spain, with plenty to keep you busy for a day (or more!). In one day in Ronda, you can see many of its major attractions, take lots and lots of photos, relax over a superb meal, and wander the pretty streets.

There are two ways to visit Ronda from Malaga: take a bus or take a train. The White Towns of Andalusia, or Pueblos Blancos, are a series of whitewashed towns and large villages in the northern part of the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga in southern Spain, mostly within the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park.

If there is an emblematic spot in Ronda it’s the 98-metre high Puente Nuevo (New Bridge), which also has a Visitors’ Museum. Have your camera at the ready, because the views of the houses overhanging the Ronda gorge are spectacular. Many people opt for walking up a path to get a wider view of the Puente Nuevo over the Guadalevín River and take the customary photo.

Ideally, you should return to the old quarter with its narrow cobbled streets decorated with geraniums - a charming place to walk around. If lunchtime has arrived, sample typical dishes such as the Serranía gazpacho, the wild mushrooms or Moorish-origin sweetmeats such as the pestiños.

On your walk, don’t overlook buildings such as the Mondragon Palace or Giant’s House (both of Moorish origin). It’s a also a good idea to stop at the always-bustling Plaza Duquesa de Parcent, which contains the church of Santa María la Mayor and the Town Hall. You can finish your walk at one of the old access points to the city, the Puerta de Almocábar.

Huge Villa with Pool, Fruit Trees, Guest House, Puente Genil, Cordoba

This is a very interesting property located not far from Puente Genil which offers a wealth of amenities and a brand new hospital. The property is accessed from a very long drive and the villa is not visible from the ornate front gate. The villa is family sized (150m2) and has a large lounge with fireplace, a decent sized kitchen with walk in pantry and laundry area and 4 bedrooms with 2 being En-Suite. There is a very large outbuilding (85m2) which could very easily be converted to another guest house. Attached to this outbuilding is also a good sized garage. To the side of the villa is an annex which although needs some cheering up and the bathroom needs to be redone it offers a good open space and it offers privacy from the main house. The pool is near Olympic size and has a pool house with toilet and shower. There is the pump and filter and down a flight of stairs there is a space suitable for storage or a bodega. Behind the villa is a good amount of garden space which is planted with citrus and other fruit bearing trees. The villa is in good shape but does need modernization and in general some TLC. El Puente Romano de Córdoba es uno de los monumentos más emblemáticos de Córdoba, España. Fue construido por los romanos en el siglo I dC y atraviesa un gran canal.

Siendo uno de los pocos puentes que se conservan de la época romana, por lo que se ha convertido en un símbolo de esta ciudad.

Desde el punto de vista económico, por ser un hito tan bien cuidado, el puente permite el paso del tráfico por el gran canal que forma parte de la geografía cordobesa.

Además de su importancia económica, el puente sirve como atajo entre muchos sitios históricos.

En 2003, el puente fue incluido en la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO.

El gran arco romano antiguo está ubicado en un terraplén que forma parte de la ladera de una colina empinada en lo que habría sido una ubicación costera natural.

Está flanqueado por dos torres y tiene un solo arco. El área a su alrededor fue modificada por la intervención humana a lo largo del tiempo para hacerla más atractiva para los visitantes

Marbella Feria de San Bernabé 2023 - Costa del Sol, Spain 4K immersive virtual walking tour

Take an afternoon walk around Marbella's annual Feria de San Bernabé. Every year at the beginning of June the town pays homage to its patron saint San Bernabé with a weeklong celebration with food, drink, dancing. The day time festivities are held in the Alameda Park in the centre of town and along the Avenida del Mar heading from the park down to the sea. Filmed on 10th June 2023.
