Friedberg (Hessen)
Friedberg (Hesse) is a medium-sized town on the northern edge of the Rhine-Main area and the administrative seat of the Wetteraukreis. In the Middle Ages, the former Free Imperial City and Trade Fair City was one of the most important cities in today's Hesse. The rich past can still be seen today in the well-preserved cityscape. Well-known sights include the former imperial castle, the Gothic town church and the medieval mikveh (Judenbad).
Friedberg is located about 30 km north of Frankfurt am Main in the Wetterau. The city is located on the Usa River just before its confluence with the Wetter. The city church in the center of the city is located at an altitude of 159 meters above sea level. To the west, the Friedberg district extends into the Taunus up to the 518-metre-high Steinkopf.
Friedberg borders in the north on the community of Ober-Mörlen, the town of Bad Nauheim and the community of Wölfersheim, in the east on the town of Reichelsheim, the town of Florstadt and the town of Niddatal, in the south on the community of Wöllstadt and the town of Rosbach vor der Höhe, and in the west on the community of Wehrheim (Hochtaunuskreis).

It is a well-known seaside resort and port town, and is a gateway to the nearby Jasmund National Park with its unique chalk cliffs. The decommissioned British submarine HMS Otus was purchased by a German entrepreneur and towed to Sassnitz to be a floating museum. In 1675, the Battle of Fehrbellin was fought there, in which the troops of Brandenburg-Prussia defeated those of the occupying Swedish Empire. In 1758 during the Seven Years' War Prussian and Swedish forces clashed at the Battle of Fehrbellin (1758). One of the most important skydiving dropzones of Germany is located at the local airport. By area, Fehrbellin is the second-largest rural municipality (Gemeinde) in Germany, trailing only Nuthe-Urstromtal. The Hakenberg Victory Column is a 36 metre tall monument with an observation deck at Hakenberg near Fehrbellin in Brandenburg, Germany. It was designed by Christian Daniel Rauch and built between 1875 and 1879. It commemorates the victory of Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg, over the troops of occupying Sweden in the Battle of Fehrbellin (1675).
I am starting this walk at the Town Hall (Rathaus), then follow an simple route to the Evangelic Church of Fehrbellin. I will then drive towards the Hakenberg Victory Column where I end my walk.

A Walk Around Tegernsee (Bavaria, Germany)
Located in the Bavarian Alps and just 50km south of Munich, Tegernsee is beautiful little Bavarian town on the south-eastern coast of the Tegernsee lake. With some adventurous hiking trails, beautiful Bavarian architecture, some stunning views of the lake and great tasting local beer, the town of Tegernsee is well worth a visit.

Die Tour Brandenburg ist mit ca 1100km der längste Radfernweg Deutschlands und führt an den Außengrenzen des Bundeslandes Brandenburg entlang. Man könnte auch sagen, im großen Bogen um Berlin!
In diesen Zeiten( Corona Pandemie) war es nicht so einfach Unterkünfte zu finden. Manche Campingplätze hatten geschlossen, oder nahmen keine Radler mit Zelt auf. Alles verständlich, wenn man hört das hohe Strafen drohen...wenn die Hygienemaßnahmen von Gästen nicht eingehalten werden. So gehörte eine detaillierte Planung und immer Plan B ( Pensionen und Hotels) für mich dazu. Manchmal jedoch kommt es anders als geplant, z.B. wenn die Streckenführung von Komoot von der ausgewiesenen Tour Brandenburg abweicht ! Ich kann die Streckenführung nach den Knotenpunkten nur empfehlen.
Ich habe auf meiner Tour Brandenburg traumhafte Landschaften entdeckt, wie z.B. das Havelland, die Prignitz, die Uckermark, den Fläming und auch den Spreewald.
Manchmal fährt man auch gleichzeitig auf anderen Radwegen, wie den Elberadweg oder den Havelradweg, oft jedoch an Flußläufen und verträumten Seen entlang.
Für mich war diese Tour durch Brandenburg eine Entdeckungsreise durch 7 Naturparks und 2 Biosphärenreservate.
Als Naturliebhaber wäre ich gern an verschiedenen Orten länger geblieben.
Entlang der Havel, Elbe oder Spree gibt es soviel zu entdecken und jeder sieht es mit seinen Augen.
Eine wunderschöne Reise durch das Land Brandenburg hat mich oft sehr nachdenklich gemacht.
Begleitet mich auf Meiner Tour Brandenburg und vielleicht plant ihr dann selbst eine Tour durch diese herrlichen Landschaften!!!

Driving in Germany: Autobahn A7 E45 from Hannover to Northeim
In this video you can drive along on Autobahn A7 E45 from Hannover to Northeim in the heart of Germany. The A7 is the longest Autobahn in Germany and runs from the border with Denmark in the North to the border with Austria in the South.
The A7 is also notoriously known for its many construction sites and being over-capacity at many locations, especially in the holiday season. This is one of those A7 segments where we have to endure quite a bit of old fashioned German Stau :)

Train at Nine Arch Bridge | Sri Lanka (4K)
The Nine Arches Bridge also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, P. K. Appuhami, in consultation with British engineers. The chief designer and project manager of the upcountry railway line of Ceylon' project was D. J. Wimalasurendra, a distinguished Ceylonese engineer and inventor. The designer of the viaduct was Harold Cuthbert Marwood of Railway Construction Department of Ceylon Government Railway. The 1923 report titled Construction of a Concrete Railway Viaduct in Ceylon published by the Engineering Association of Ceylon has details of all the records including the plans and drawings.
It is located in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. The surrounding area has seen a steady increase of tourism due to the bridge's architectural ingenuity and the profuse greenery in the nearby hillsides.
Popular rumours suggest that when construction work commenced on the bridge, the Great War began between the empires of Europe and the steel assigned for this site was reallocated to Britain's War related projects at the battlefront. As a result, the work came to a standstill, leading the locals to build the bridge with stone bricks and cement, but without steel.
