A 4K road drive Tour of Tarkwa township in the Tarkwa - Nsuaem Municipal in the Western Region of Ghana.
Tarkwa is a town and is the capital of Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal district, a district in the Western Region southwest of South Ghana.Tarkwa has a 2013 settlement population of 34,941 people.
Tarkwa is noted as a centre of gold mining and manganese mining. Tarkwa Mine, which is a large open-cast gold mine, is situated to the northwest of the town, and Nsuta manganese mine is situated to the east of the town. Tarkwa Mine mines several low-grade conglomeratic reefs of Tarkwaian type.These reefs are of mid-Proterozoic age.
A number of mining companies cluster between the villages of Aboso and Tamso in the late 19th century.
Tarkwa Mine has the distinction of being one of the largest gold mines in South Ghana. Approximately 24 tons of gold is produced annually, and 100 million tons of earth is moved to achieve this production rate. The Iduapriem Gold Mine is also located near Tarkwa, 10 km south of the town.The Tarkwa Goldfield was discovered a few years before the Witwatersrand Goldfield in South Africa.
Tarkwa Senior High School (TARSCO) and Fiaseman Senior High School (FIASEC) are located in Tarkwa.
University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), is located in Tarkwa.
Tarkwa is a junction railway station and is served by Tarkwa Train Station on the Ghana Railway Corporation.
Currently, there is a Tarkwa gold robbery and two foreigners and a Ghanaian have been arrested.

A 4K video drive on the Tarkwa Takoradi road construction project in the Western Region of Ghana.
The road, which is the vital link between the Western, Central and the Western North regions as well as the port of Takoradi, is being constructed at the cost of €95 million and when completed will reduce travel time, improve healthcare delivery and ambiance for business across the region.
The Tarkwa Takoradi road stretch currently is in a very bad shape riddled with countless potholes, part of it with asphalt surface completely washed off, badly shoved and few good stretches with no road marking/signage with a lot of cracks.

A 4K road drive from Beposo and Apiaste towns to Bogoso in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipal in the Western Region of Ghana on the IR6 Ayanfuri Bogoso Road.
Bogoso is a mining town and is the capital of Prestea-Huni Valley district, a district in the Western Region of Ghana.
The village of Apiate near Bogoso was the site of a deadly explosion in January 2022, after a heavy truck carrying explosives to a mine was involved in a traffic collision.
On 20 January 2022, a large explosion occurred along the Tarkwa-Bogoso-Ayamfuri road in Western Region, Ghana, after a truck transporting mining explosives collided with a motorcycle. The explosion levelled the nearby Apiate village, killing 13 people and injuring 200.
Driving from Beposo to Bogoso via Apiaste on the IR6 Ayanfuri Bogoso road, we passed infront of the Relief House for displaced victims of the Bogoso Exaplosion.
Driving onto the Kruperko avenue , we passed infront of the Bogoso Electricity Company of Ghana, Bogoso Market , St. Michael's Catholic Church, Bogoso Main station, Bogoso Main Lorry Station, Fiaseman Rural Bank, St. Augustine Senior High School, Royal Paradise Hotel, Prestea-Huni Valley Municipal Assembly and the Bogoso ECG Office.

Most BEAUTIFUL part of GHANA, CAPE 3 POINT Escape 3 Points eco-lodge
Visit the famous lighthouse of Cape Three Points with its spectacular 360 views of the whole coastal area. It is positioned at the closest land point to the centre of the world at 4 degrees latitude and 2 degrees longitude. For centuries, the Cape has been a landmark for ocean navigators. A very old lighthouse that was built in 1875 is still standing and no longer in use. The current lighthouse was built in 1925. Local guides will take you on a beautiful walk along the beach and through the village of Cape Three Points to the lighthouse.
The trip takes 1 to 1.5 hours (go and come back) and costs a small tip for the guide and entrance fees to the grounds and lighthouse.

UNWTO-Ghana Women in Tourism Congress (ACCRA TOUR}
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Government of Ghana represented by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, hosted the maiden Regional Congress on Women's Empowerment in the Tourism Sector from 25-27 November 2019.
This is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) five of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which aims to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls by 2030.
The congress was led by Hon. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture, and was well attended by tourism stakeholders, tourism Ministries, public institutions, private sector representatives, civil society, NGOs, journalists and representatives from other sectors with impact on women empowerment in the tourism sector in Africa.
It kicked off with series of dialogues, interactions and networking at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC), then followed by a bus tour and courtesy visit to his Royal Majesty, Akwamufie Chief's Palace to experience some history, culture and traditions of the people. Ultimately participants were treated to a 5-Star hospitable reception at the world-class Royal Senchi Hotel.
