We are trying to find the most suitable city in the UK to call home. Brighton was the first city we wanted to try because of the location, weather and reputation, so we lived in Brighton and Hove for the past three months. We think Brighton is great and the weather is good for the UK, the shops are super cute too. Let's say we love every bit of it. However, the living cost is pretty high, not dissimilar to London. We paid £1400/month for a one-bedroom flat. Bus tickets are £2.50 for a single trip and parking can be difficult to find if you don't have a resident permit.

We continue our walking tour around the famous Pavilion Garden, one of the most beautiful places in Brighton and started in 1787 by the Prince of Wales as a seaside retreat (London to Brighton taking just an hour by train.) It's domes and minarets were the work of architect John Nash.

Places to see in ( Hove - UK )
Hove is a town on the south coast of England, immediately to the west of its larger neighbour Brighton, with which it forms the unitary authority Brighton and Hove. Hove forms a single conurbation with Brighton and some smaller towns and villages running along the coast. As part of local government reform, Brighton and Hove were merged, to form the borough of Brighton and Hove in 1997
In 2000, the new borough officially attained city status. Hove is bordered by Brighton to the east and Portslade-by-Sea in the west, the distance between the boundaries being some 2.25 mi (3.75 km).
Hove has a comprehensive public transport system including buses to all districts, a bus monitoring system accessible via the internet and with displays at some bus stops (a system integrated with Brighton), and taxis which are able to pick up across the city of Brighton and Hove. Hove has three railway stations. Hove railway station has direct access to the Brighton main line to London via a loop eliminating the need to go through Brighton. Hove is on the West Coastway Line, as are Aldrington and Portslade and West Hove stations. A 'halt' stop at Holland Road, between Hove and Brighton, was in operation from 1905 to 1956. Direct train journeys to London take just over an hour, and to Brighton, a few minutes.

Hove is a seaside resort in East Sussex, England. It is one of the two main parts of the city of Brighton and Hove, along with Brighton.
Originally a small but ancient fishing village surrounded by open farmland, it grew rapidly in the 19th century in response to the development of its eastern neighbour Brighton; by the Victorian era it was a fully developed town with borough status. Neighbouring parishes such as Aldrington and Hangleton were annexed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The neighbouring urban district of Portslade was merged with Hove in 1974. In 1997, as part of local government reform, the borough merged with Brighton to form the Borough of Brighton and Hove; this unitary authority was granted city status in 2000.

So this is SUMMER in the UK?!
We were fortunate enough to have planned this on a good sunny. We planned to go to Brighton for 3 weeks and we actually pushed through! Even though I was actually from a night shift duty. I still had fun and have full energy all throughout the trip. Except during train rides because I really need to dose off. The Beach was jaaam packed!!! We were not surprised though because it was all over the news.
I did not have much anything to say in the video, just the trip itself. :D

Portslade Station 18/1/20
We visit the station at Portslade on the Brighton to Southampton route also known as the East Coastway Route which is operated by Southern using a mix of Class 313's and 377's. Local services are operated by Class 313's operating local services between Brighton and Woking/Littlehampton/Portsmouth Harbour via Barnham. Train services are operated on a almost 20 minute frequency throughout the day making this a nice easy line to visit all the stations on.

Brighton is the major part of the city of Brighton and Hove (formed from the previous towns of Brighton, Hove, Portslade and several other villages) in East Sussex on the south coast of Great Britain. For administrative purposes, Brighton and Hove is not part of the non-metropolitan county of East Sussex, but remains part of the ceremonial county of East Sussex.
The ancient settlement of Brighthelmstone dates from before Domesday Book (1086), but it emerged as a health resort featuring sea bathing during the 18th century and became a destination for day-trippers after the arrival of the railway in 1841. Brighton experienced rapid population growth, reaching a peak of over 160,000 by 1961. Modern Brighton forms part of the Brighton/Worthing/Littlehampton conurbation stretching along the coast, with a population of around 480,000.
Brighton has long been renowned throughout the UK and Europe as gay-friendly, and is home to a very large LGBT population. Eight million tourists a year visit Brighton. The town also has a substantial business conference industry regularly hosting the Liberal Democrats, Labour Party, occasionally the Conservative Party and Trade Union annual Conferences. Brighton has two universities and a medical school.
