Jarocin - miasto powiatowe w Wielkopolsce.
Ziemia Jarocińska leży na Nizinie Wielkopolsko – Kujawskiej, w obrębie Wysoczyzny Kaliskiej i u zbiegu dwóch rzek: Warty i Prosny, do której wpadają dwie mniejsze – Lutynia i Lubieszka.
Najwcześniejsze informacje historyczne o Jarocinie pochodzą z dokumentu wystawionego w Poznaniu 30 listopada 1257 roku. Książe wielkopolski Bolesław Pobożny nadał w nim miasto (civitas) i liczne przywileje komesowi Jankowi z wpływowego rodu Zarembów.
Jarocin zawdzięczał swoje powstanie i rozwój położeniu na skrzyżowaniu ważnych szlaków komunikacyjnych: z Poznania do Kalisza i z Torunia do Wrocławia.
W średniowieczu było to dobrze rozwinięte miasto średniej wielkości.
W późniejszych czasach zdarzały się liczne pożary, epidemie, przemarsze obcych wojsk i inne klęski. Jarocin podupadł do tego stopnia, że po pożarze w 1773 roku było tu zaledwie 30 mieszczan osiadłych, a 20 lat później liczba domów nie przekroczyła jeszcze 50.
W 1875 roku przez jarociński dworzec przebiegały linie do Gniezna, Kluczborka, Krotoszyna i Poznania. W następnych latach doszły jeszcze połączenia z Lesznem i Śremem.
W latach okupacji hitlerowskiej Jarocin, jak i cała Wielkopolska, został włączony do Rzeszy.
Po drugiej wojnie światowej Jarocin stał się znaczącym ośrodkiem przemysłowym. W mieście powstały jedne z największych w kraju fabryk mebli, które wyposażyły w swoje produkty między innymi markowe hotele Warszawy. Równocześnie z rozwojem przemysłu postępował rozwój budownictwa mieszkaniowego.

Prochowice to miasto w woj. dolnośląskim, w powiecie legnickim, nad rzeką Kaczawą, siedziba gminy miejsko-wiejskiej Prochowice.
Lokalny ośrodek w regionie rolniczym na skraju Wysoczyzny Średzkiej i Pradoliny Wrocławskiej, nad Kaczawą, w pobliżu jej ujścia do Odry, na pn.wsch. od Legnicy.
Pierwotnie nazywały się Parchowice, najdawniejszy zapis nazwy pochodzi z 1217 r., stąd późniejsza niemiecka nazwa Parchwitz. Od 1248 r. należały do księstwa legnickiego (później legnicko - wrocławskiego, legnicko - brzeskiego, lenna korony czeskiej). W 1280 r. Prochowice otrzymały prawa miejskie, potwierdzone w 1293 r.
Rozwijały się jako ośrodek handlu, w miejscu dogodnej przeprawy przez Kaczawę, przy szlaku handlowym z Wrocławia do Głogowa i Frankfurtu.
W 1374 r. uzyskały monopol na handel solą.
W 1526 r. miasto, wraz z całym czeskim Śląskiem, dostało się pod panowanie Habsburgów austriackich, a po śmierci w 1675 r. ostatniego księcia legnicko - brzeskiego pod ich bezpośrednią władzę.
W 1742 r. znalazło się w granicach Prus. Na przełomie XIX i XX w. miasto uzyskało połączenie kolejowe, powstały zakłady przemysłowe, głównie przetwórstwa produktów rolnych (browary, gorzelnie, fabryka konserw, garbarnia).

Tak na dobrą sprawę,jest to film o Czeskich kolejach wąskotorowych,a wątek Krotoszyńskiej kolejki,jest tu wpleciony w historyczne zagadnienie wąskotorowej rzeczywistości czasów minionych,a dokładniej,jest konstrukcją czy fundamentem całego ilmu,
Bo tak naprawdę nie ma właściwie żadnych filmów o KKDno jest o Pleszewskiej,ale obecnie,to już całkiem inny rozdział.
Krotoszyńska kolejka istniała,i funkcjonowała przez 85 lat z małym ogonkiem w 1986 r.kiedy odjechał ostatni pociąg do Pleszewa.
Sam pewnego zimowego popołudnia,przyglądałem się jako dziecko kolejce,która tyłem podjeżdzała do kozła oporowego,w miejscu obecnego pomnika,
Niby stało tylko parę osób,ale w chwili zatrzymania się,cały wagonik wypełnił się podróżnymi,do tego stopnia,że część z nich,stała w drzwiach,
Po chwili podeszła młoda kobieta,która zaczęła się upychać do wagoniku,z pomocą mężczyzn,którzy byli wielce usłużni,pani miała wielką torbę w pionowe paski,taką samą,jak nasi wschodni sąsiedzi,którzy handlowali towaami przywieżionymi z ZSRR,torba była wypełniona zakupami, aż po brzegi,a przez otwarte drzwi,można było wyczuć ciepło,wydostające się z wenątrz wagonu.
Na zewnątrz była niska temperatura,śnieg leżący dookoła,i ta para unosząca się się dookoła.

GDYNIA, POLAND: On a mission! I try to find the city's funicular without a map or even a clue.
Gdynia, on Poland's Baltic Sea coast, is an important port. It's also home to a funicular railway, or at least I had a memory of such a thing. I arrive in Gdynia without a map, or any clue as to where I was going. Even the maps in parks don't show this unusual railway.

Walking in WARSAW / Poland - Gorgeous Old Town A Binaural Experience in 4K.
The Old Town is a bustling tourism hub, with cobblestone alleys and medieval buildings reconstructed after WWII. At its heart is Rynek Starego Miasta, a busy square lined with burgher houses and upscale Polish eateries. Nearby, St. John's Archcathedral dates back to the 14th century and hosts summer concerts. The area is also home to the restored apartments and manicured gardens of the Royal Castle.

Biskupin (Poland) - Archaeological open-air museum - Late Bronze Age fortified settlement

Biskupin is an archaeological site and a life-size model of a late Bronze Age fortified settlement in north-central Poland that also serves as an archaeological open-air museum. When first discovered it was thought to be early evidence of a West Slavic settlement, but archaeologists later confirmed it belonged to the Biskupin group of the Lusatian culture from the 8th century BC. The excavation and the reconstruction of the prehistoric settlement has played an instrumental part in Polish historical consciousness. The Museum is situated on a marshy peninsula in Lake Biskupin, ca. 90 kilometers (56 miles) northeast of Poznań and 8 km (5 mi) south of the small town of Żnin. It is a division of the National Museum of Archaeology in Warsaw. The site is one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments, as designated September 16, 1994, and tracked by the National Heritage Board of Poland.
In 1933 Polish archaeologists discovered remains of a Bronze Age fort/settlement in Wielkopolska (Greater Poland), the discovery became famous overnight. The site was excavated from 1934 onwards by the team from Poznań University. The first report was published in 1936. By the beginning of 1939, ca. 2,500 m2 (26,909.78 sq ft) had been excavated. Biskupin soon became famous, attracting numerous distinguished guests, including officials of the Marshal Piłsudski government, members of the military, and high churchmen such as the primate of Poland. The site soon became part of Polish national consciousness, the symbol of achievements of the Slavonic forebears in prehistoric times.
There are two settlement periods at Biskupin, which was located in the middle of a lake but is now situated on a peninsula, that follow each other without hiatus. Both settlements were laid out on a rectangular grid with eleven streets that are three metres (9.8 ft) wide. The older settlement from the Late Bronze Age was established on a slightly wet island of over 2 hectares (4.9 acres)[2] and consisted of ca. 100 oak and pine log-houses that were of similar layout, measuring ca. 8 by 10 metres (26 by 33 feet) each. They consisted of two chambers and an open entrance-area. These houses were designed to accommodate 10–12 persons. An open hearth was located in the centre of the biggest room. There are no larger houses that could indicate social stratification. Because of the damp, boggy ground, the streets were covered with wooden planks.
The settlement was surrounded by a tall wooden wall, or palisade, set on a rampart made up of both wood and earth. The rampart was constructed of oak trunks that form boxes filled with earth.
