Here's the secret to cheap flights:
-----------------

In this video, we will explore the best things to do in Peru, from exploring ancient ruins to trying delicious local cuisine.

First on the list is the iconic Machu Picchu, one of the most famous and breathtaking archaeological sites in the world. Situated high in the Andes Mountains, this ancient city of the Incas attracts millions of visitors each year. The awe-inspiring views of the ruins and surrounding landscapes will leave you speechless.

Another must-see attraction is the Nazca Lines, an ancient mystery of the desert. These geoglyphs are massive drawings etched into the ground, depicting animals, geometric shapes, and other mysterious figures that have puzzled scientists for decades.

If you're a foodie, Peru is a paradise for your taste buds. Ceviche, a dish made with raw fish marinated in lime juice, is one of the country's most famous dishes. Also, try Lomo Saltado, a flavorful stir-fry of beef, onions, tomatoes, and fries, or anticuchos, grilled skewers of marinated beef heart.

In addition to the famous ruins and culinary delights, Peru is home to some of the world's most stunning natural wonders. The Colca Canyon is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon and offers breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains, including the rare Andean condor.

For adventure seekers, Huacachina is the place to be. This desert oasis offers adrenaline-pumping activities such as sandboarding and dune buggy rides that will leave you exhilarated and wanting more.

Peru also offers plenty of opportunities for hiking and trekking enthusiasts. The Rainbow Mountain, located in the Andes Mountains, offers a challenging but rewarding hike through vibrant mountainside colors.

Finally, no trip to Peru is complete without experiencing its vibrant cultural heritage. Visit the historic city of Cusco, once the capital of the Incan Empire, and explore the colorful markets, cobblestone streets, and ancient ruins. The city also hosts many traditional festivals, such as the Inti Raymi, a colorful celebration of the winter solstice.

In conclusion, Peru is a country with something for everyone. Whether you're a foodie, an adventurer, or a history buff, Peru's rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and exciting activities make it a top destination for any traveler.

Pisco Peru : See Tambo Colorado, Flamingos, and Eat Delicious Fruit

Tambo Colorado is not a well known Inca Ruin, yet it is one of the best preserved Inca ruin. To see it you must take a tour to the Paracas desert from Pisco. It is a perfect shore excursion full of ancient Incan history. Fascinating elements of the internal engineering in their homes, technology far advanced than I gave them credit for can still be seen. So come take a tour with me in some ruins that even the most seasoned traveler can enjoy.

Hi! Welcome to the Culture Trekking Community! My name is Janiel Green, a Physician Assistant, Scuba Diver, Dog lover, Photographer, and Videographer! I love to make people smile, am known for not beating around the bush (unless it is in my garden). I also tend to say it as I see it before my brain can tell me its probably not socially acceptable to do so. My spirit animal is a Sea Turtle, I hate mushrooms, and don’t trust a man who lays on the romance too thick.

I love to travel the world, connect with different cultures, and find sustainable adventure. I have explored the most off the beaten path places, and cultures throughout the world. This year I’m taking you along as I explore my hometown, UTAH! From Anasazi Ruins in Southern Utah, to the High Uintah Mountains best waterfalls and camping locations.

With over a decade of professional photography experience, and a self-taught videographer and editor. I also want to teach you a few tricks of the trade to make better travel videos, and take better travel photos - even if you are a solo traveler.

Most of all, I want to help you, my Culture Trekkers, learn to enjoy those little things in life that make the soul sing. Life isn’t always easy, and I have had my fair share of heartache. I have been through the thick of it with those internal battles we all have. We Traveled to LIMA, PERU | Interesting Things To Do & See and What We Learned

Peru Guide ( con subtitulos)
*NOTE & Correction - Pisco Day is the 4th Sunday of July and it happens to fall on July 28th this year.
In our visit to South America, our travels takes us first to Lima, Peru. It's our first time in Lima and it completely did not disappoint.

Thank you for joining us!

⭐⭐ LIMA HIGHLIGHTS⭐⭐

1. Since Peru is known for its food, take a cooking class or a food tour with a local. There are several you could book online. This was on our list, but unfortunately due to bad weather on our trip into Lima we missed a day and missed our cooking class.

2. Definitely visit Parque del Amor. A gorgeous park is in the Miraflores neighborhood. Excellent spot to catch a sunset, soak up the positive energy and even capture some incredible photos.

3. Take a nice drive ( 4 hours) to Huacachina and experience the incredible Sand Dune buggy and Sand Surfing. Great little shops in the area and wonderful spots to eat lunch.

4. If you're going to be in Huacachina, stop at a the restaurant/winery called El Catador in ICA. The food and drinks are delicious. We tried a native dish Carapulcra Sopa Seca and Carapulcra Arroz Verde.

5. Boat Tour to the Ballestas Island to see the Penguins and incredible birds and wildlife. ( VERY touristy and can get VERY busy so get there early.

6. In Miraflores, the malecon runs along the coast for miles. You'll see many people out either running, walking, biking. There's even a dog park and playgrounds. So something or everyone.

7. Visit Plaza de Armas both during the day and at night. The churches and other buildings are spectacular. You can also visit the San Francisco Church and the famous catacombs there.
At night Plaza de Armas is stunning visual treat.
See the oldest fountain in Lima, Peru there and if yo ugoing to be traveling to Lima in July..on July 26th they fill the fountain with Pisco for everyone to drink. ( BONUS)

8. The place in Lima we had Ceviche was called Sabor a Peru in the City Center..not our favorite but we did have it at night, and apparently you should have Ceviche during the day and certainly by lunch time. We weren't impressed with the restaurant but that's just our opinion.

SOUTH AMERICA CRUISE: Pisco, Peru

Continuing on our South American cruise adventure, we stop in Pisco and Paracas, Peru! BY FAR my favorite stop of the whole cruise! I had so much fun here! We went to the Tambo Colorado Ruins, saw wild flamingos, stopped to get some locally grown fruit, and then had a wild ride at the sand dunes. It had forgotten how wild dune buggying can be! We even saw the Candelabra Nazca Line on our way out! So much fun!

FREE DRINKS AT EL CATADOR PERU PISCO SOUR Vineyard | Nasca Lines Tower

Have you ever visited a Peru Pisco sour factory? On our journey from Huacachina to Nasca, we stopped to try some pisco sour (and many other drinks) at El Catador vineyard. Then we saw the Nasca Lines from above at the Nasca viewing towers!

It was a special moment to watch the sunset from the Nasca Lines Tower.

This was all part of our trip with Peru Hop. We had an amazing time traveling with Peru Hop from Lima all the way to Cusco. We think you should give them a try on your Peru journey.

Here is our experience with Peru Hop:

Here's more on Authentic Peruvian dishes you have to try:

Pisco Sour, Peru

Peru's national drink is the pisco sour and it is both delicious and refreshing.

The pisco sour is the national drink of Peru, and it’s a “must-drink” when visiting. Made of egg whites, sugar, lemon or lime juice, and a liquor called pisco, it’s both refreshing and strong. You’ll find this delicious cocktail in bars throughout the country, and you can even learn how to make it yourself by taking a pisco sour lesson.

Pisco, the spirituous drink of Peru

Pisco, the spirituous drink of Peru
Pisco is a Peruvian grape spirit obtained from the distillation of fresh juice from the fermentation of the grapes; following traditional practices established in the production areas by the national legislation governing Pisco.
It is one of the most exquisite liquers in the world. It is considered one of the finest liqueurs, containing between 42 and 52 degrees of alcohol. It is also used as a culinary ingredient in several dishes.
Thanks to a special combination of factors, Peruvians have experienced a rebirth in the appreciation of this product, considered as the heritage of the Peruvian nation, a spirit drink that has made a name for itself at an international level.

Cruise Port: Pisco, Peru

The port of Pisco is the gateway to one of the finest examples of Incan ruins in the country: Tambo Colorado. We drove into the Atacama Desert to visit the ruins then had a Peruvian-style lunch at a hacienda that is at the heart of what was once a large sugar-cane plantation worked by African slaves. Their descendants still live and work in the area. Yes, Pisco did lend its name to Peru's - and our - favourite drink!
