This can be a perfect place for romantic date, informal meeting or just a place to take a break from a busy city. Even the kids will find a little playground to play in.

It is located in Les Corts region where you can get by metro green line №3 in direction of Zona Universitaria, your stop is Palau Reial. It is the fastest way to move in the city. The buses that stop here are № 7, 33, 67, 75, 113, L14, L79, H6. The buses with the letter H are considered to be the faster lines than the rest. So if the route suits you we advice you to take it. If you're close to Diagonal metro station you can take any tram line.

The entrance to the park is free. The opening hours vary according to the period of the year. In winter (01.11 - 31.03) it is open from 10:00h to 19:00h. In summer (01.04 - 31.10) from 10:00h to 21:00h. Check the holiday schedule as it may affect the opening hours or the park could be closed.

We had lived in Barcelona for 3 years and decided to share the best parks that we discovered and enjoyed the most.

The Barri Gòtic (Catalan for Gothic Quarter) is the center of the old city of Barcelona. Many of the buildings date from medieval times, some from as far back as the Roman settlement of Barcelona. Catalan modernista architecture (related to the movement known as Art Nouveau in the rest of Europe), developed between 1885 and 1950 and left an important legacy in Barcelona. Several of these buildings are World Heritage Sites. Especially remarkable is the work of architect Antoni Gaudí, which can be seen throughout the city. His best-known work is the immense but still unfinished church of the Sagrada Família, which has been under construction since 1882, and is still financed by private donations. As of 2007, completion is planned for 2026.
Barcelona was also home to Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona Pavilion. Designed in 1929 for the International Exposition for Germany, it is an iconic building that came to symbolize modern architecture as the embodiment of van der Rohe's aphorisms less is more and God is in the details. The Barcelona pavilion was intended as a temporary structure, and was torn down in 1930 less than a year after it was constructed. A modern re-creation by Spanish architects now stands in Barcelona, however, constructed in 1986.
Barcelona won the 1999 RIBA Royal Gold Medal for its architecture,the first (and as of 2015, only) time that the winner has been a city, and not an individual architect.

Unknown to tourists and even to most locals, Pedralbes lies on the upper hillside of Barcelona, Spain. It's extremely green, well kept and most apartaments and mansions have their own pool. We walked in it in a Spring Sunday morning and it was extremely relaxing. We started our walk in the higher part of the Diagonal avenue.

The monastery was founded by King Jaime II and his wife Elisenda de Moncada in 1326 . The monastery was inaugurated with a solemn mass on May 3, 1327. It housed a community of Poor Clares nuns , made up mostly of daughters of nobles. His first abbess was Abbess Olzet .
The queen took special interest in this monastery, which she endowed with various privileges. Thanks to one of these privileges, the monastery was under the direct protection of the city, through the Council of One Hundred , which promised to defend it in case of danger.
Elisenda herself had an annex palace built to which she moved when her husband died in 1327. Elisenda resided in the monastery palace until the time of her death in 1364. The remains of this palace, which the queen herself ordered in her will that it was demolished after his death, were discovered in the 1970s by Maria Assumpta Escudero i Ribot , who later became director of the Museu-Monestir.
During the so-called War of the Reapers of 1640, the nuns were exclaustrated and stayed in the residence of the Marquis of Aitona . Under the agreement established by Elisenda de Moncada with the city, the nuns were escorted to their destination by armed soldiers. The mother abbess closed the retinue, accompanied by the second city councilor.
In 1931 the monastery was declared a Historic Artistic Monument . A part became part of the City History Museum . In this museum pieces related to monastic life are exhibited, many of them belonging to the religious heritage. In 1993 a part of the enclosure was used to house a selection of works transferred to long-term storage by the Thyssen-Bornemisza collection, but in 2004, this repertoire was transferred to the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC). A small community of Poor Clares nuns continues to reside in an adjoining building.

The Camp Nou is a sports venue owned by Fútbol Club Barcelona , located in the Les Corts district of the city of Barcelona , Spain .
Inaugurated the 24 of September of 1957 and cataloged by UEFA in 1998 as elite stadium is the stadium with more capacity in Europe and the fourth football world , with a current capacity of 99,354 spectators.
The stadium's capacity has varied from its initial capacity of around ninety thousand seats, to its maximum capacity of one hundred and twenty thousand spectators, with the construction of the third grandstand on the occasion of the 1982 World Cup in Spain . Finally, in 1994, its current capacity was below one hundred thousand spectators, after the remodeling carried out in application of the regulations that forced the elimination of seats without seats.

The need to build a new stadium arose in the early 1950s, with the emergence of the spread of football in Spain and the arrival of the club in 1951 by Ladislao Kubala . Despite the fact that the old Camp de Les Corts had 60,000 seats, they wanted to build another one with a capacity of around 90,000 spectators, to accommodate the thousands of fans who wanted to attend to watch the group's matches live culé and turn the new stadium into one of the largest and most majestic in the world.

The Camp Nou was promoted and built during the mandate of President Francisco Miró-Sans . The project was commissioned to the architect Francesc Mitjans , Miró-Sans' first cousin and his neighbor, since they lived in the same building on Calle Amigó in Barcelona, also built by Mitjans. The foundation stone was laid on March 28 , 1954., with an initial budget of 67,000,000 pesetas. However, construction problems, mainly derived from unforeseen anomalies in the subsoil, delayed the construction and, above all, made it more expensive, up to the 288,000,000 that it finally cost, to which the acquisition of land around it also contributed. The club was hoping to cover the cost by selling the land in the Les Corts field, but it took ten years for the Barcelona City Council to requalify it, leading to a period of some economic shortage, until finally the head of state and Spanish government At that time, Francisco Franco authorized the requalification of the Les Corts land and ended the crisis in the Barcelona entity.
