The mineral-rich Ingenious and gifted lands of Balochistan have a side that trumps its resourcefulness; that side is astonishing and mind-baffling beauty, catering travelers to the top attractions of Balochistan.
Since many Pakistanis have traveled to Balochistan or know much about the province, the tourist attractions usually go unnoticed and unseen. However, the locals of the province, make sure they benefit from the charming landscapes and mountains of the gold-overloaded province.

1. Pir Ghayb (The Invisible Saint) Waterfalls – Bolan, Balochistan
This is an astonishment inspiring view of Pir Ghaib, Balochistan. Locals here believe in the myth of the Invisible Saint (Pir Ghaib), who was saved by the Almighty after a wicked King’s men attacked him. The Saint struck a stick in the mountain from which the water still pours out to date, believe it or not.
2. Moola Chotok – Khuzdar, Balochistan
This tourism deprived sight is known as Moola Chotok in Khuzdar, Balochistan. Along With stronghold of nationalists in the Jhalawan belt, Chotok seemed like a lost cause at first. Ever since the military operations in Khuzdar division, Chotok has been swiped clean of all dangers and is now open to locals and tourists to go and witness the vast beauty.
3. Quaid-e-Azam Residency – Ziarat, Balochistan
Father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah spent his last days of affliction in this wooden cottage in Ziarat, Balochistan. One of the top tourist attractions of Pakistan. The place holds historic importance and is the perfect place to chill when you are in Ziarat.
4. Hannah Jheel (Hannah Lake and Urrak) – Quetta, Balochistan
This is how Hannah Lake looks in winters, frozen, frosted, and astonishing. This is where people from all over Pakistan go first when they visit Quetta. Only about 18km away from the city, Hannah Lake serves as the perfect escape for the locals.
5. Waadi-e-Bolan – Bolan, Balochistan
Waadi-e-Bolan is a long stretch of a mountain valley with blue waters running in-between. The place has historical and symbolic importance. It was where the first railway system of Pakistan was established by the British.
6. Hingol National Park – Hingol, Balochistan

An oasis in the middle of nowhere. An astonishing natural habitat amid desert plains with a mythical story to follow. The wonder-inspiring oasis caters to thousands of rare fish in the water. Legend has it, that if you catch or eat one of Pir Chattal’s fishes, you’re bound to either die of poisoning or the fish comes out of your mouth alive in one piece. Astola Island, also known as ‘Island of the Seven Hills’, is a small isolated Pakistani island in the Arabian Sea. Also the largest island in Pakistan, it is the epitome of Balochistan’s undermined beauty. A great tourist attraction indeed.
10. Jhal Magsi Desert Rally – Jhal Magsi, Balochistan
Famous for its desert safari and the yearly desert rally, caters huge crowds and sponsors every year. Rally fans from all over Pakistan round up in one place for stay till the rally ends. The province of Baluchistan enjoys a strategic location linking many parts of the province of Baluchistan to the coast.
Balochistan Province has a beautiful coastal area of 700 km, but due to a lack of infrastructure and facilities, the province is unable to earn significant profits from the tourism industry, that could be potential tourist destinations for international and local tourists, support the local economy, provide jobs and help small businesses thrive.
Earlier, the Balochistan government announced the construction of five tourist resorts in coastal areas to meet the needs of local and foreign tourists in the region. It is located on the eastern bay of a natural hammer-head protrusion of land, from the coast, distended into the apex of Arabian Sea. Makran Highway spreads primarily through Balochistan province between Karachi and Gwadar, crossing near Ormara and Pasni. The road is a symbol of pride for all Pakistanis. Earlier, there was a muddy path connecting Karachi with the town of Gwadar. The distance before the construction of this highway was of two days.
The official and technical designation of the Makran Coastal Highway is N10, which is the abbreviation for National Highway 10.
Makran Coastal Highway is 650 kilometers long highway. The project of Makran Coastal Highway started in 2002 and ended in 2004. Makran Coastal Highway is among the most beautiful routes in the World.
While crossing Makran coastal highway, the essential points include mud volcanoes, Sapat Beach, Kund Malir, Hingol River, Princess of Hope, Pasni Beach, Gwadar, Gunz Village, Jiwani, Victoria Hut, and many more.
At different points of the Makran highway, mud volcanoes exist. Hot sand emerges from these volcanoes, which are also called volcanic ash. Pakistan is among some of those countries where these mud volcanoes exist. They are around 100 in number in Balochistan province.
The beach of kund malir was among the most beautiful beaches in Asia in 2018. It is at a distance of 240 kilometers from Karachi. It is a settlement of fishermen. Ormara Beach is a naval facility located on the Makran Coastal Highway between Karachi and Gwadar. At 240 kilometers away from Karachi, it takes less than 5 hours to drive here. Alexander the Great stopped in Ormara, and one of his generals, named Ormuz, died there. This is how the city got its name, Ormara. It is one of the most beautiful natural beaches in the nation, and from there you can view a variety of naval carriers, making it a really amazing sight. Additionally, this beach is one of the few that has not been developed.
Lying between Karachi and Gwadar on the Makran Coastal Highway, Ormara Beach is a naval base with one of the few untouched beaches in Pakistan.
Gwadar Port: Since Gwadar Port has a naval base and is also the hub of development activity in the region, it is fascinating to visit the place and witness the hustle and bustle in the area. The port offers fishing and boating opportunities for enthusiasts.
Koh-e-Batil: The hammerhead-shaped peninsula is home to the Old Town of Gwadar with hills on both ends.
The most famous one among these is Koh-e-Batil since it offers magnificent views from the top after climbing nearly 700 steps on a steep staircase built into the mountain. Gwadar’s Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel is also built on this mountaintop.
