So you're probably wonder, how the hell do I do this trip on my own?

First, let me get one thing clear - because all the different names can be confusing. So you're going to be walking from San Sebastian to Pasajes (in Basque it's called Pasaia) along the trail called Talaia Ibilbidea. Pasaia is a municipal area, and it has four village in it. Two of those villages are called San Pedro and San Juan. Sometimes they're called Pasajes San Pedro and Pasajes San Juan. And it can all be a bit confusing. But anyway - I hope that's clearer.

So, how do you do the walk? First, head to the starting point petrol station (which is here: From there, you walk up the street Zemoria Kalea - just keep following it for about 5 minutes. And then you'll hit some steps, from then on you're on the path. And to make sure you're going in the right direction, just keep following the signs for Pasaia (the Basque name for Pasajes). And below Pasaia on the signs, it'll say, Talaia Ibilbidea which is the name of this path that goes from San Sebastian to Pasajes.

And really you can't go very wrong. It's about 2.5-3 hours walking to the villages.

The Albolea (Basque whaling ship) is here:

The first bar Muguruza is here:

You get the boat here: (it comes every couple of minutes and cost €0.80 each way per person).

Casa Cámara is here: (** you should call ahead to reserve to avoid disappointment). And the fish we got was baked monkfish (called rape in Spanish).

00:50:45 Mundaka & Guernica
00:01:04 San Juan de Gatzelugatxe (Drachenstein aus Game of Thrones)
01:05:13 Bilbao
01:27:40 Verabschiedung

Tiny Tour | Pasai Donibane Spain | A unique single-street old town at the Pasaia Bay 2019 Autumn

Hi guys, here we are in a small town called Pasai Donibane. it's one of four towns in the municipality Pasaia. The old town of Pasai Donibane extends around a single street: it begins in the Bizkaia district and continues to Alabortza cove. The narrow, cobbled streets create a truly cosy environment.
Strolling around this area, we will find curious passages under the houses that limit the urban sectors. There are also many buildings of great interest that will catch our attention. At the beginning of our stroll, we will see the parish church of San Juan: it has a Latin-cross floor plan and is built with ashlar sandstone. Opposite the parish church, we will also find the Arizabalo palace, currently the town hall and one of the most important buildings in town. The palace can be dated back to the 17th century and is Baroque. It is a beautiful building with a slightly square floor plan with a hipped roof. The main façade is symmetrical with a beautiful coat of arms with two towers in the centre.
