Visiting Costa Brava is really an excellent way to
unwind, relax and take in some stunning coastal views
It has some great food, it has wonderful small seaside villages
Great beaches, I can understand why it was named one of the top destinations in the
world.
get off the highway and make your way to the coastal drive
the smaller roads take you to these interesting places
but they're also a really fun to drive
Woohoo road trip
we're here in Tossa de Mar and I gotta
say if you are driving Costa Brava or
Visiting Costa Brava
this is definitely one of the places
that you have to come. It's a beautiful
seaside village, it has a lot a great hotels
and an absolutely gorgeous beach.
Another great stop in Costa Brava is
Sant Feliu de Guixols. This is a town that's on the coast
it's beautiful and known for the 10th century monastery that's right behind us.
You can go in, give it a tour and check out the museum that's in there as well.
Just one of the great historic things that are along the drive here in Costa Brava
So we're here in the town of Port Lligat just outside of Cadaques
and we're up on the North Eastern tip of Costa Brava
and the hightlight of this town is going to the
Salvador Dali house where Dali himself
lived and decorated and designed it all himself
so make your reservations before hand online and don't be stuck like us
another thing that you have to do
when you come here to Costa Brava is
it hike coastal trail
this is just the best way to get the
feel for it
the landscape. As you can see behind me, the views are
absolutely stunning no matter where you. Yeah the Coastal Trail runs
the entire Costa Brava Coast, it's well marked
and I suggest just staying in a city and doing day trips back and forth.

Located in the Northeastern part of Spain and close to the border of France, the Costa Brava has now become a very popular tourist destination with many travellers seeking the sun.
Stretching from Blanes to the French border and consisting of approximately 186 Miles (300 Kilometers) of coastline.
Famous for it many holiday resorts such as Blanes, Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar and Roses, to name but a few, it is the perfect holiday destination.
The rugged coastline of the Costa Brava in Catalonia, offers plenty of things to see and do. Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday by the pool or on the beach or a more active holiday, you will not be disappointed.
Airports:
The nearest airport that services the region of the Costa Brava, is Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO). The airport itself, is situated approximately 8 Miles (13 Kilometers South West of Girona. The airport, provides the perfect gateway to the region and the many towns, villages and resorts in the Costa Brava.
Barcelona Airport (BCN), is also another airport that many travellers use to reach the Costa Brava and is approximately 53 mIles (85 Kilometers) from Blanes. This makes getting from Barcelona to the Costa Brava and Costa Brava to Barcelona, very easy.
Beaches:
The coastline of the Costa Brava in Spain is famous for its coves and beaches and the many seaside towns along the coast, offer lovely beaches with crystal clear waters.
Diving:
Diving in the Costa Brava, is some of the best in Spain and is popular with divers, who come to dive the waters around the Illes Medes
Nightlife:
There is plenty of opportunity to party in the Costa Brava and one of the main resorts for nightlife, is Lloret de Mar. The majority of larger resorts, have several bars and clubs, that stay open well into the early hours.
Hotels:
As you can imagine, there are a large number of hotels located throughout the region and hotels in the Costa Brava vary from basic 1 star accommodation, through to the more luxury 5 star hotels. There will certainly be a hotel that caters for your needs, requirements and budget.

Palamos Spain - An excellent destination in Costa Brava | Girona Catalonia [4k]
Palamós is a town and municipality in the Mediterranean Costa Brava, located the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain.
Originally is a port city
The town offers scenic hiking paths, several beaches, water sports, historical attractions, and an excellent fishing museum. It is also well known for its fresh seafood
If you enjoy seafood, this is the town to visit!
A tip is to bring snorkels, as the seawater is clear and there are large fish to be seen.

Palamós is located approximately 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Girona Airport and is just an hours drive away.
The small town of Palamos, is a popular destination, that is located in the centre of the Costa Brava.
The town of Palamos, dates back many Centuries and today, you will find there are two part to Palamos, which are the ‘Old’ town and the ‘New’ town.
One of the main features of the town, is the harbour/Marina, which still has a strong fishing industry. The fishing fleet that works from the harbour auctions its catch on the side of the harbour most days, which is a popular attractions in the town.

There are several beaches and many coves close to Palmaos and the following are just a few of the more popular.

One Day In Port - Palamós Spain

48 Hours in Costa Brava, Spain
Tossa de Mar, Girona, Besalu & Callela de Palafrugell... we explored some of this Catalan region's BEST towns in just 2 days in December. Driving north from Barcelona, we started our road trip in the beach towns, spending the day walking through the historical walled city of Tossa de Mar and admiring the cobbled streets and charming sea views.
We then continued to neighboring Palafrugell, to breathe in more Mediterranean air with a coastal walk.
The majority of our time was in the bustling, medieval city of Girona, and we truly fell in love with it! The old city was magical with its local boutiques, cute cafes, bookshops, Girona crafts and excellent food. We even were able to enjoy many of the locations filmed in Season 6 of Game of Thrones! For any GOT fans, you'll love seeing the Sept of Baelor and the steps that Arya ran down in Braavos.
I particuarly loved exploring the Girona city walls and gardens, which offered stunning views of the Pyrenees. We also stepped inside the Arab Baths, a well preserved Romanesque public bathhouse that was a step back in time.
Our last stop before our return to Barcelona, was a morning in Besalu. This fairytale city is postcard worthy with it's arched bridge and tower. Plus there are cute shops and restaurants to relax in as you wander this tiny village.
After falling in love with Costa Brava in the winter, I can only imagine how amazing it would be in summer!
