BURSA: The 10 Most UNMISSABLE Places
In this video, I share what I feel are the top 10 most unmissable places you can visit in Bursa, Turkey. Whenever you decide to travel to Turkey and tour this famous Ottoman city in 2022 or beyond, you can use this video as a way to guide you during your trip.

Bursa became the first major capital city of the Ottoman Empire after they captured it from the Byzantines in 1326. You can sense their presence through the various sites that exist within this fascinating and captivating city.
Bursa city center on its own provides you with outstanding historical sites such as the grand mosque, known in Turkish as Ulu Cami. This is Bursa's largest mosque and it consists of 20 domes!
Near the Ulu Cami, you can visit Koza Han, which is Bursa's oldest bazaar. Nearby to this are some fascinating markets that will really excite someone looking to spend some money.
Now if you happen to find yourself walking on the streets of Tophane, you are in for a treat as you will be able to visit the Sultanate Gate & Citadel, which is a significant historical site.
You can also walk into the complex where you can go and visit the tombs of both Osman Ghazi and his son Orhan Ghazi, the first two Sultans of the Ottoman Empire.
In addition, you can eat at a 600-year-old restaurant opposite this complex, where you really get to eat some of the most delicious food you can find during your tour of Bursa and many celebrities visit it frequently due to its outstanding reputation.
If you are someone that is looking for more of an adventure or desire to explore a little bit away from Bursa City Centre, then you are in luck as you can see some incredible waterfalls by going to Suuçtu national park. Suuçtu Şelasi is a must see.
Moreover, Gölyazı & Ulubat Lake is a great combination of a village near a lake that provides immense serenity and some of the most magnificent sunsets you can ever imagine.
The cream of the crop in terms of adventure is hands down riding on the Bursa Teleferik i.e. cable car. By doing so, you will see outstanding spectacles of Bursa City.
If this was not enough, once you reach the end of the Teleferik journey going up, you end up on Uludağ Mountain. Uludag is an unmissable place for anyone visiting Bursa. Whether it is summer or winter, there are exciting activities available here for everyone all year round.
My personal favorite activity was to ski for the first time in my life and that too on my birthday! I have already made two travel vlogs of my trip to Uludag where I show what one can do in the summer and the winter and you can those out on my channel.
If skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports are not for you, even then I urge you to go up to Uludağ Mountain and experience other activities that are in accordance with your taste.
Speaking of Village, Cumalıkızık, which is an Ottoman Village and a Unesco world heritage site is a must-see when you travel to Bursa. The colored houses that many converted into shops and cafes, as well as the cobbled streets, will provide you with exquisite nostalgia.
Another key attraction that is a must-see for anyone that appreciates Ottoman history is to go to the Green Mosque, known in Turkish as Yeşil Cami and the Green Tomb. Here, you will see incredible architecture and the tomb of Sultan Mehmet I.

How to go from ISTANBUL to BURSA - CHEAPEST & QUICKEST WAY! TAKSIM SQUARE to BURSA OSMANGAZI
In this video, I show you how you can easily travel from Istanbul to Bursa in the cheapest and quickest way! We start our journey from Taksim Square in Istanbul and use the metro and tram service to reach the Bursa BUDO ferry port in Eminonu, then after taking the BUDO ferry to Bursa, we show how you can reach the Bursa Metro and travel to Osmangazi or anywhere within this fabulous city. You can easily do a day trip from Istanbul to Bursa using public transport in Turkey. The entire trip one-way can be done in under 60 Turkish lira, which is incredibly affordable, comfortable and quick too. The ferry tickets from Istanbul to Bursa cost just 39 Turkish Lira (TL). The Istanbul Metro tickets cost 6 TL and the Bursa Metro ticket was the same.
If you have questions such as: How do I travel from Istanbul to Bursa without a car? Then look no further. We have previously used a coach to travel from Istanbul to Bursa which was a good experience too, however, we prefer the ferry as it is much quicker, cheaper, super comfortable and you get incredible views of the Bosphorus. The Bursa ferry has a small cafe where you can buy tea, coffee, juices, toasted sandwiches, and many other refreshments. There is also sufficient leg space, as well as toilets and no traffic delays (as opposed to traveling by coach or car). Hence, traveling to Bursa using the ferry is the number one choice for us.
We show you how to get to Osmangazi, which is the historical city in Bursa, however, you can also go to many other amazing places within Bursa including the Uludağ mountain where you can go up via the teleferik (cable car). İzmit, ancient Nicomedia, is a city in Turkey, the administrative center of the Kocaeli Province as well as the Metropolitan Municipality. It is located at the Gulf of İzmit in the Sea of Marmara, about 100 km (62 mi) east of Istanbul, on the northwestern part of Anatolia. The city center has a population of 300,611 (2011 census). The population of the province (including rural areas) is 1,459,772. (Unlike other provinces in Turkey, apart from Istanbul, the whole province is included within the municipality of the metropolitan center.)
Nicomedia was the eastern and most senior capital city of the Roman Empire between 286 and 324, during the Tetrarchy introduced by Diocletian. Hello friends, In this video I am visiting Osman Gazi and his son Orhan Gazi's tombs in Bursa, Turkey. Osman Gazi was the first Ottoman Sultan. During his reign the Ottoman empire started and they captured many areas of modern Turkey. If you want to visit his tomb in Bursa you can either take a ferry ride from Istanbul's Yenikapi ferry terminal or can take a Coach from Istanbul's main bus terminal. In this video, I visited the Osman Gazi Tomb (known as Türbesi in Turkish) which is located in Bursa Turkey. I have previously made a video where I visited both Osman Gazi (founder of the Ottoman Empire) and Orhan Gazi (son of Osman Gazi) tombs, which you can find here: However, in this video, I specifically wanted to show you around the entire complex where the tombs are located, so that you can see all the different things there are to experience in this amazing place.
There are many view points where you can see amazing views of Bursa city in Turkey, as well as it's many landmarks such as the famous Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque of Bursa) and Koza Han. You can also see one of the first teleferik (cable car in Turkish) designs that were used to visit Uludağ mountain (you can view my Uludag Teleferik video here: ). The famous colourful #BURSA sign can be found within this complex, as well as the clock tower and some cafes for refreshments.
If you're planning to visit Bursa, then the Osman Gazi and Orhan Gazi Tomb complex visit should be on your list of things to do in Osmangazi Bursa. This place is also a must visit for Diriliş Ertuğrul and Kuruluş Osman fans, as you are able to witness the presence of these great leaders in real life. It really was an honour to be in the presence of the first Sultan of the Ottoman Empire Osman Gazi (the son of Ertugrul Gazi) as well as his son and second Ottoman Sultan Orhan Gazi.

This is a tour of the tombs of Osman Gazi, the founder and the first emperor of the Ottoman Empire, and his son Orhan Gazi, at the Tophane park in Bursa, Turkey. Bursa was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire.
The Tophane park encompasses the historic Ottoman compound. In it is also the famous landmark of Bursa, the Bursa Clock Tower and the historic canons that were fired at time of ifthar. This is a great place to spend a day with restaurants, cafes, shopping, tree-lined walkways and trails, and a very relaxing atmosphere to just hang out with family and friends.

Osman ghazi, the founder of the Ottoman dynasty, are buried in the old chapel of the citadel, which is not earlier than the late-and the final-Byzantine period. This monument which still survives is called the Davud monastery by Turks. The church with a central nave and two side naves over the center of which rises a dome is carried by four columns of gray marble. Nothing of interest to the artistic eye is contained on the interior. All the interior decoration is secured by the slab facing the grey marble which is bordered by fine interlaced bands. The altar area, which is set off by grey marble columns, is also illuminated by three windows; crosses are visible on the capital. The former narthex of the church contains the coffins of princes and royalty whose names are no longer known.
