The city of Zwickau in eastern Germany has a long and varied history of car production and industrial design. Its story is told in the August Horch Museum – beginning with the production of Horch cars, to Audis, to the East German car, the Trabant. On her trip to Zwickau, Hannah Hummel discovers the city’s car history, as well as its art and cultural history. Both the composer Robert Schumann and the expressionist painter and printmaker Max Pechstein were born in Zwickau. This episode of Destination Culture also takes viewers to Schneeberg – a creative hub in Saxony, where students from around the world study fashion and textile design.

2 Much Time Entertainment präsentiert: Das historische Schloßfest auf der Voigtsberg in Oelsnitz (Vogtl.).
Eine Produktion des Formats: Travel TV.
Für alle die das historische Schlossfest verpasst haben und sich ggf. auf dem Plauener Rummel langweilten. ;p
In Oelsnitz gab es mal wieder ein Event der Superlative, mit von der Partie die Preißen Ritter, die durch Ihre Kampfkünste bestachen, La Marotte ( ), deren musikalische Auftritte die Stimmung untermalten, und viele weitere Schausteller, darunter ein wasch echter Falkner, eine Wahrsagerin, ein Hufschmied, ein Marktschreier, Seifendamen aus den Frankenlanden, und viele mehr.
Und natürlich ein Kamerateam der 2 Much Time Entertainment, dass sich nahezu unsichtbar unters Volk mischte und die Festivitäten dokumentierte.

Zwickau is a city located in the eastern part of Germany in the state of Saxony. Zwickau is the fourth-largest city of Saxony after Leipzig, Dresden and Chemnitz that we all visited here on POPtravel.
Zwickau has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages when it was an important trading center. Today, Zwickau is a medium-sized city with a population of around 90,000 people. It was also a center of the German textile industry during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The notable German composer Robert Schuman was born in the house on the corner of Zwickau's main market square in 1810.
We start our walking tour right at the Robert Schuman monument. As we walk through the city, we will see both the historical and modern aspects of Zwickau. There are many beautiful buildings in the city center, such as the Gothic-style St. Mary's Church, which dates back to the 15th century, and the Renaissance-style town hall, which was built in the 16th century.
We circle the city center, get out to the Schwanenteichpark in the western side of the city. Walking back to the city center we also see some street art. Our tour leads again through the city's streets towards to the Zwickauer Mulde on the eastern side of the city center. We walk a bit on the Muldenpromenade before we end our tour near our starting point - at Zwickau's market square.

Erbaut bis 1249 auf einen 440 m hohen Bergsporn durch die Vögte Eberhard de Voitesberk und Strassberg.1327 kamen die Vögte von Plauen in den Besitz. 1356 fiel sie dem Markgraf von Meissen aus dem Hause Wettin zu.1378 wurde es kurfürstliches Amt .Diesen Status hatte bis 1855 inne.
Der älteste Teil ist der Bergfried .Er ist 22 m hoch und 9,70 m breit.Die Mauerstärke beträgt 3,30m .Er soll später auch wieder begehbar werden.Es ist ein sehr schönes Schloss.Dort sind im Fürstensaal Trauungen möglich.
Ein Trackt beherbergt das Teppichmuseum,ein Mineraliengewölbe und Historischer Kostümverleih und für das leibliche Wohl sorgt die Gaststätte
Zum Kurfürst.Zu Pfingsten findet immer ein Schlossfest mit historischer Markt statt.

Noch heute beeindrucken die gotische St.-Georgs-Kapelle mit ihren sakralen Kunstwerken, die Schösserstube mit ihrer prächtigen Barockdecke sowie der Ritter- und der Fürstensaal. Ein wertvolles Tizian-Gemälde rundet die Ausstellung ab.
