BURSA: The 10 Most UNMISSABLE Places
In this video, I share what I feel are the top 10 most unmissable places you can visit in Bursa, Turkey. Whenever you decide to travel to Turkey and tour this famous Ottoman city in 2022 or beyond, you can use this video as a way to guide you during your trip.

Bursa became the first major capital city of the Ottoman Empire after they captured it from the Byzantines in 1326. You can sense their presence through the various sites that exist within this fascinating and captivating city.
Bursa city center on its own provides you with outstanding historical sites such as the grand mosque, known in Turkish as Ulu Cami. This is Bursa's largest mosque and it consists of 20 domes!
Near the Ulu Cami, you can visit Koza Han, which is Bursa's oldest bazaar. Nearby to this are some fascinating markets that will really excite someone looking to spend some money.
Now if you happen to find yourself walking on the streets of Tophane, you are in for a treat as you will be able to visit the Sultanate Gate & Citadel, which is a significant historical site.
You can also walk into the complex where you can go and visit the tombs of both Osman Ghazi and his son Orhan Ghazi, the first two Sultans of the Ottoman Empire.
In addition, you can eat at a 600-year-old restaurant opposite this complex, where you really get to eat some of the most delicious food you can find during your tour of Bursa and many celebrities visit it frequently due to its outstanding reputation.
If you are someone that is looking for more of an adventure or desire to explore a little bit away from Bursa City Centre, then you are in luck as you can see some incredible waterfalls by going to Suuçtu national park. Suuçtu Şelasi is a must see.
Moreover, Gölyazı & Ulubat Lake is a great combination of a village near a lake that provides immense serenity and some of the most magnificent sunsets you can ever imagine.
The cream of the crop in terms of adventure is hands down riding on the Bursa Teleferik i.e. cable car. By doing so, you will see outstanding spectacles of Bursa City.
If this was not enough, once you reach the end of the Teleferik journey going up, you end up on Uludağ Mountain. Uludag is an unmissable place for anyone visiting Bursa. Whether it is summer or winter, there are exciting activities available here for everyone all year round.
My personal favorite activity was to ski for the first time in my life and that too on my birthday! I have already made two travel vlogs of my trip to Uludag where I show what one can do in the summer and the winter and you can those out on my channel.
If skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports are not for you, even then I urge you to go up to Uludağ Mountain and experience other activities that are in accordance with your taste.
Speaking of Village, Cumalıkızık, which is an Ottoman Village and a Unesco world heritage site is a must-see when you travel to Bursa. The colored houses that many converted into shops and cafes, as well as the cobbled streets, will provide you with exquisite nostalgia.
Another key attraction that is a must-see for anyone that appreciates Ottoman history is to go to the Green Mosque, known in Turkish as Yeşil Cami and the Green Tomb. Here, you will see incredible architecture and the tomb of Sultan Mehmet I.

Bursa is a place that has to offer EVERYTHING and wow I didn't know that there are so many amazing places in Bursa. I also explored more of the Iskender and food options that the province is famous for and I seriously need to think about cutting off some of the food because it's getting out of control lol Bursa is a very historical place and in Ottoman Turkish Bursa means God's Gift and to me that makes total sense! What I enjoyed most was going up to Uludag to try out skiing for the first time in my life or just enjoy a cool breeze with a cup of cay. A beautiful beautiful place!

How to go from ISTANBUL to BURSA - CHEAPEST & QUICKEST WAY! TAKSIM SQUARE to BURSA OSMANGAZI
In this video, I show you how you can easily travel from Istanbul to Bursa in the cheapest and quickest way! We start our journey from Taksim Square in Istanbul and use the metro and tram service to reach the Bursa BUDO ferry port in Eminonu, then after taking the BUDO ferry to Bursa, we show how you can reach the Bursa Metro and travel to Osmangazi or anywhere within this fabulous city. You can easily do a day trip from Istanbul to Bursa using public transport in Turkey. The entire trip one-way can be done in under 60 Turkish lira, which is incredibly affordable, comfortable and quick too. The ferry tickets from Istanbul to Bursa cost just 39 Turkish Lira (TL). The Istanbul Metro tickets cost 6 TL and the Bursa Metro ticket was the same.
If you have questions such as: How do I travel from Istanbul to Bursa without a car? Then look no further. We have previously used a coach to travel from Istanbul to Bursa which was a good experience too, however, we prefer the ferry as it is much quicker, cheaper, super comfortable and you get incredible views of the Bosphorus. The Bursa ferry has a small cafe where you can buy tea, coffee, juices, toasted sandwiches, and many other refreshments. There is also sufficient leg space, as well as toilets and no traffic delays (as opposed to traveling by coach or car). Hence, traveling to Bursa using the ferry is the number one choice for us.
We show you how to get to Osmangazi, which is the historical city in Bursa, however, you can also go to many other amazing places within Bursa including the Uludağ mountain where you can go up via the teleferik (cable car). ???? Mudanya (Mudania, Greek: τα Μουδανιά, ta Moudaniá (the site of ancient Apamea Myrlea) is a town and district of Bursa Province in the Marmara region of Turkey. It is located on the Gulf of Gemlik, part of the southern coast of the Sea of Marmara. As of 1911, it was connected with Bursa by the Mudanya–Bursa railway and a carriage road, and with Istanbul by steamers. Mudanya has only an open anchorage usable in calm weather. The town produces olive oil and there is a pier used by local fishing and cargo boats.
According to the Ottoman General Census of 1881/82-1893, the kaza of Mudanya had a total population of 16.683, consisting of 11.792 Greeks and 4.891 Muslims. A port city, it also had a railway connection to Bursa which was completed in 1875. The railway had a pier at the seaport of Mudanya for exporting. Istanbul was often the recipient of exported goods from Mudanya. Silk was a popular export.
The town was the signing place of the Armistice of Mudanya between Turkey, Italy, France and Britain on October 11, 1922, following the Turkish War of Independence.
After the Treaty of Lausanne and the Greco-Turkish population exchange agreement, the Greeks of the town were transferred into mainland Greece, establishing a settlement to which they gave the name of their previous town, Nea Moudania (New Moudania, located on the Chalkidiki peninsula, in the Macedonia region of Greece). In return, a number of Cretan Turks were settled in Mudanya.

Mudanya sahilinin korunmuş köşelerinden biri olan Tirilye, balığı ve zeytini ile tanınan son dönemde turizm ile anılan eski bir Rum kasabadır. Bir zamanlar bölgenin en kalabalık yerleşim yeriydi ve yüz yıl önce buradan Avrupa’ya zeytin ve zeytinyağı ihraç edilirdi.
Bazı araştırmacılar Tirilye’nin Brylleion bağlı Tereia olduğunu iddia etmektedirler. Tirilye’nin kardeş şehirleri Yunanistandaki Rafina ve Nea Tirilya dır. Tirilye’nin bulunduğu bölge tarih içinde Misyalılar, Traklar, Antik Romalılar, Bizanslılar ve Osmanlılar tarafından yönetilmiştir. 1330’da Osmanlı egemenliğine giren Tirilye’nin ismi 1909’da sadrazam Mahmut Şevket Paşa'nın suikast sonucu öldürülmesinden sonra Mahmutşevketpaşa kasabası olarak değiştirilmişse de yerleşim Tirilye olarak anılmaya devam etmiştir. 1963 yılında Zeytinbağı adını alan belde, 2012'de alınan bir kararla tekrar “Tirilye” adını almıştır. 2014 yerel seçimleri sonrası belediye kapatılarak mahalle olmuştur.
