4. Cala Estreta

If you are looking for fine golden sand, in Cala Treumal you will find an extension of about 200 meters and transparent blue turquoise waters. A short distance from Blanes, you can easily reach it by train or bus from Barcelona.
2. Aiguablava, Begur
It is one of the most beautiful beaches you will find in the whole Catalan territory. It is located in the municipality of Begur, in a bay surrounded by a lot of vegetation and many rocky outcrops.
1. Calella de Palafrugell
Located in an old fishing village, it still retains the traditional charm of other times. It is a must see on the Costa Brava. Here you can also enjoy all kinds of musical events such as the Cap Roig Festival or the Summer Concert Cycle.

Spain is Europe’s number one destination for beach holidays and here are seven of our top picks.
First up is Playa de las Teresitas, our favourite beach in Tenerife. And one of the best parts is that it’s in the north of Tenerife. This means that it’s much quieter than many of the more popular beaches in the south.
Our top tip here; Bring a picnic as food & drink options are limited.
Cala en Forcat is our favourite beach in Menorca and we loved it so much for its series of small rocky bays.
Our top tip is to bring a snorkel and goggles so you can see all the fish.
Next is Playa del Papagayo right on the southernmost tip of Lanzarote. It took a bit of searching to find this one, but it was well worth the effort. There’s a small restaurant and ancient ruins at the top, then a short climb down to the beach itself.
Top tip; Stay until sunset for the best photos.
Camp de Mar in Mallorca is like most of the beaches here. However, the thing that sets it apart is La Illeta, the restaurant perched on a teeny tiny little island that’s only accessible by a footbridge.
Our top tip? Book ahead as tables are at a premium.
Burriana beach is in Nerja on the Costa del Sol, about an hour’s drive east of Malaga. It’s not as busy as some of the beaches towards Marbella, but still has plenty of facilities and activities. We love Nerja for its rugged landscapes and the fact that Burriana beach is so close to world-class caving and hiking is a real bonus for us.
Our tip; Book a John Keo guided tour for the best hiking in Nerja.
We love Maspalomas in Gran Canaria for the giant sand dunes. Being here feels like you’re lost in a vast desert, it’s really different to anything else you’ll see in the Canary Islands.
Top tip; Bring plenty of water and sunscreen. And maybe a compass.
Barcelona has everything, art, culture, sport, great food, friendly people, some unique architecture and of course, nearly 3 miles of beautiful sandy beaches.
Our top tip here is to try some of the paella. It’s the best you’ll find in the city.

Wanna have cleaner sand and crystal clear water? Go to Montgat Nord Beach, just about 30 minutes Renfe R1 train trip from Barcelona City. The beach is much more quiet and relaxed than Barceloneta Beach. For me, it's one of the best beaches in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

Spend a beautiful weekend away from the crowded Barcelona beaches here at Montgat Nord Beach or Platja Montgat Nord - with the sand and water so clean! Just take a train from Plaza Catalunya towards Mataro, using T Casual ticket (about €1 for one trip) then get off the train at Montgat Nord station. The beach is in your doorstep! Sitges cuenta con 17 playas que se sitúan a la orilla de un pueblo con un encanto muy especial y se distinguen por la calidad de su arena y sus aguas.

Situada en el bonito pueblo de Sant Pol, esta pequeña playa se sitúa bajos las rocas y la vía del tren.
5. Playa de Ocata
Está perfectamente comunicada y es de gran tamaño. La playa de Ocata cuenta con un club náutico y un club de vela. Es una de las playas con mejores servicios.
4. Calella
Está situada al norte de Mataró. Te enamoras nada más verla, por su arena dorada, sus restaurantes a pie de playa y su vida nocturna y de ocio.
3. Montgat
Dos kilómetros de arena son los que podrás disfrutar si visitas la playa del Montgat. Su paseo marítimo y sus tres playas lo convierten en uno de los lugares favoritos para los amantes del mar.
2. Playa de Nova Icària
Podríamos decir que es una de las playas más tranquilas de la ciudad. Tiene más de 400 metros de playa y es muy frecuentada por familias y niños.
1. Barceloneta
Es la playa principal de la capital. La Barceloneta es una playa donde siempre hay un ambiente muy vivo, chiringuitos deluxe, hoteles muy exclusivos, un paseo marítimo espectacular y una sucesión de espigones.
