Hello Again! Montería (Spanish pronunciation: [mon.teˈɾi.a]) is a municipality and city located in northern Colombia and is the capital of the Department of Córdoba. The city is located 50 km (31 mi) away from the Caribbean sea, by the Sinú River. The city and region are known for their distinct cultural heritages, which include a blend of mainly colonial Spanish descendants and indigenous Zenú Indians, and more recently, Middle East immigrants. The city is home to the Sombrero Vueltiao, a national symbol; and is the home of Porro folklore music. The city has an inland seaport connected to the Caribbean Sea by the Sinú River. This is also the childhood home of the famous dancers - Don Kevin Gray and Padrino Felipe Botero “known as the pisas suaves”

Hello again! The University of Sinú - Elías Bechara Zainúm is a private university founded in April 1974 by Dr. Elías Bechara Zainúm, a native of the municipality of Lorica and of Lebanese descent. It is located on the left bank of the Sinú River in the city of Montería, in the department of Córdoba in northern Colombia.
After founding the first public university in Córdoba, the University of Córdoba, several secondary education institutions and an intermediate education entity, Elías Bechara Zainúm decides that a university is still necessary that satisfies the interests of citizens in terms of areas of know as the administrative sciences, jurisprudence and health sciences and that is how the Higher Educational Corporation of Córdoba- CESCO was born on April 20, 1974 where Business Administration programs were offered at a technical level - professional, languages, Educational Administration and Social work.

During the colonial period in Cartagena, Getsemani was where the displaced indigenous and enslaved Africans were placed. San Basilio de Palenque, shortened Palenque, is a town where many Africans fled Cartagena in search of their freedom which was granted to them in 1713. While Cartagena receives many tourists throughout the year not many take the time to learn about the real history here so we hope this travel video teaches you a bit about what really happened so when you travel to Cartagena you can better understand Getsemani and Palenque, Colombia.
