Bienvenidos a Lleida, una de las provincias menos conocidas de España pero donde se pueden encontrar muchos pueblos con encanto, bellos paisajes, excelentes bodegas, gastronomía única, vinos jóvenes, comida de autor, vinos añejo, platos tradiciones, vino blanco, tinto o rosado, verduras, carnes, pescado, verdejos, espumosos, dulces, salados...
El convento de Santa María de Vallbona, una joya oculta desconocida para muchos. Lo más interesante de este convento es este claustro y tiene una historia muy interesante ya que tardó cuatro siglos en construirse porque había problemas de presupuesto y cada 100 años construían un lateral, así que aquí tenéis un claustro de los siglos XIII, XIV, XV y XVI.
Pero para claustros sorprendentes el de la catedral de Lleida. Iniciado a finales del sXIII destaca por sus excepcionales dimensiones. Con casi 50 metros de largo y 9 de ancho por cada lado, el claustro de la catedral de Lleida es uno de los más grandes del mundo.

El Pirineo de Lleida es muy atractivo para pasar las vacaciones en familia. En este sentido esta provincia cuenta con tres destinos acreditados con la certificación Naturaleza y Montaña en Familia de la Agencia Catalana de Turisme: Vall de Boí en L’Alta Ribagorça; Valls d’Àneu en la comarca del Pallars Sobirà; y Pirineus-Noguera Pallaresa, también en el Pallars Sobirà, que incluye los municipios de Rialp, Sort, Llavorsí, Soriguera y Baix Pallars.
Vall de Boí es perfecto para pasar un verano tranquilo y seguro en plena naturaleza. Destaca por su románico, patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco, por los paisajes del Parque Nacional de Aigüestortes y Estany de Sant Maurici y por la aguas termales del Balneario de Boí. Por su parte, en Valls d’Àneu se practican deportes de aventura como BTT o kayak en la Mollera de Escalarre y en el embalse de la Torrassa respectivamente, y se realizan visitas muy interesantes vinculadas con la fauna local como MónNatura Pirineus y la Casa del Oso Pardo en Isil. Por último, Pirineus-Noguera Pallaresa es el destino idóneo para practicar rafting y varias modalidades de pesca. Asimismo hay espacios muy interesantes como el Ecomuseo de les Valls d’Àssua, en Llessui, y lugares históricos como la localidad de Gerri de la Sal.

La Catedral de la Seo Antigua o catedral vieja de Lérida, (en catalán: Seu Vella de Lleida) es el monumento más emblemático de la ciudad, se construyó en estilo románico, aunque sus bóvedas son de crucería ojival góticas. Se alza en el cerro conocido como Turó de Lleida que domina la ciudad y la comarca del Segrià.
En Cataluña la persistencia del arte románico hasta el siglo XIII produjo estructuras arquitectónicas como la catedral de Lérida. Su estilo tardorrománico, o de transición, posee las formas románicas y la monumentalidad del gótico.1 Sus portadas y capiteles generaron un importante taller escultórico románico conocido como la Escuela de Lérida.
El magnífico claustro, con su galería mirador sobre la ciudad, se realizó entre los siglos XIII y XIV.
La catedral fue terminada en el siglo XV con la construcción del campanario y la puerta de los Apóstoles.
En el año 1707 y dada su importante posición estratégica, la Seu Vella se convirtió en cuartel militar, no volviendo a desempeñar funciones religiosas. Aunque ha pasado por momentos de gran abandono, el traslado de los oficios religiosos ha permitido que se conserve el estilo original sin añadidos posteriores de otros estilos.
