Situada a media hora de Mérida (Patrimonio de la Humanidad) y no lejos de otros puntos de enorme interés turístico tales como Cáceres (Patrimonio de la Humanidad), Trujillo, Guadalupe, Zafra, el complejo residencial de las termas de Alange y el Parque Nacional de Monfragüe.

Primera aglomeración urbana de la Antigua Roma en la provincia Lusitania (Colonia Metellinensis, fundada en el año 79 antes de Cristo)
Escenario de la épica batalla de los Campos de Medellín en 1809 (Guerra de la Independencia)
Principales monumentos:
· Teatro romano (Excelente estado de conservación. Premio Unión Europea de
Patrimonio Cultural Europa Nostra 2013) Siglo I.
· Castillo medieval (Origen árabe. Sucesivamente remodelado) Siglo XV.
· Puente imperial (400 metros de longitud. Sobre el Río Guadiana) Siglo XVII.
· Iglesia de San Martín (Magnífico ábside románico) Siglo XIII.

Located just half an hour away from the town of Mérida (World Heritage Site) and not far from other places of a remarkable tourist interest such as Cáceres (World Heritage Site), Trujillo, Guadalupe, Zafra, the Roman hot springs residential complex in Alange and the Monfragüe National Park.

Driving from Aragon to Catalunya on the N230
Driving from France to Spain through the Pyrenees in July 2019. A beautiful day in the north of Spain on the N230, crossing the regional border between Aragon and Catalunya. I was driving my Saab 9-5 from 2003. This car is so comfortable, despite of its age. It has excellent seats, a very smooth automatic transmission, a very good Harman-Kardon audio system and not in the least a powerful, turbo charged engine (185 Bhp). The tour was amazingly beautiful and in some way romantic. Therefore I played a song of Sade.

En este video visitamos Medellín (Badajoz). Fue la última parada de nuestro viaje por Extremadura, España y relamente fue un colofón de lujo. Nos quedamos muy soprendidos por el estado de conservación del #TeatroRomanodeMedellín y por el enorme tamaño del #CastillodeMedellín. Las vistas erán estupendas así que sacamos a volar nuestro dron DJI Mavic Mini el mosquito. Además Medellín es el pueblo natal de #HernánCortés, conquistador de México.
La Visita a Medellín es altamente recomendada. Para nosotros fue toda una sorpresa. Esperemos que te guste del video, nosotros desde luego disfrutramos mucho grabándolo y conociendo este impresionante lugar.
