King Street is lined with boutiques and specialty shops. Founding fathers dined at Gadsby’s Tavern, now a museum with period objects and photographs. Carlyle House Historic Park is a restored Georgian mansion with a garden. This walk was mainly along the waterfront. You will always find beautiful girls and handsome boys having fun here.

Washington, DC to Seattle, WA: A Complete Road Trip
This video begins in Washington, DC around dawn on May 3, 2018 and concludes at SeaTac Airport in Sea-Tac, WA, just south of Seattle, in the late morning of May, 6, 2018. The drive was 3,084 miles (4,963 kilometers). All of this video was recorded in real-time, but this video is played back at 4x time-lapse speed. (The links to the real-time videos are below, and the hyper-lapse versions of this video will be uploaded at some point.) Nearly all of this entire video was done in the daytime; however, there is about a 20-minute section between Caldwell, Idaho and eastern Oregon done in darkness as it was before sunrise.

The highest elevation of the drive was 11,158 feet (3,401 meters) at the Eisenhower Tunnel in Colorado (6:22:45), which was also the continental divide. The hottest temperature of the drive was 86 F (30 C) between western West Virginia and eastern Kentucky, as well as near Jerome, Idaho. The coldest temperature of the drive was 24 F (-5 C) at Vail Pass, Colorado (6:27:55).
This video is a long time coming, but it is finally uploaded. This is the first of many videos I will be uploading in the upcoming months. Unlike the CA-NY video, this video was entirely done in one trip with the same vehicle - a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. Also, this video was shot using the Garmin Virb Ultra 30, which records GPS information. The position, elevation, and heading are shown on the video. Since 2/3 of all viewers of my videos are from outside the U.S., I set everything to metric. I plan to use English units for the real-time versions, however.

Arlington, VA Ride on a beautiful day! One of the best planned cities in the country.
This is just some raw footage of my trip all around DC/Northern Virginia. Arlington is hands down my favorite suburb of Washington DC. It's well thought out corridors for higher density zoning and commercial districts almost all revolve around the Metro. Arlington is home to the Orange, Yellow, Blue and also now Silver Metro (subway) lines. The Orange line alone runs thru Arlington from east to west and is made up of the following stops, East Falls Church, Ballston, Virginia Square, Clarendon, Court House and Roslyn, just before crossing under the Potomac River into DC. The corridor from Ballston to Roslyn is entirely urban and is a sort of unbroken swath of high rises and high density residential and commercial buildings that stretches only a few block wide but miles long. Most everything nearby but outside of this corridor is low density residential or single family homes. Arlington has found a way to truly balance the urban with suburban.

The waterfront of Old Town Alexandria has seen a lot of development with new condos, a big new waterfront deck with comfortable lounging chairs, a bar and great views of DC skyline. I hope you enjoy this walk along the Potomac through the parks of Old Town Alexandria.
