Twin Cities of the Menominee River. Marinette, Wisconsin and Menominee, Michigan | 4K drone footage

Marinette is a city in and the county seat of Marinette County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located on the south bank of the Menominee River, at its mouth at Green Bay, part of Lake Michigan; to the north is Stephenson Island, part of the city preserved as park.[7] During the lumbering boom of the late 19th century, Marinette became the tenth-largest city in Wisconsin in 1900, reaching a peak population of 16,195.

Marinette is the principal city of the Marinette, Wisconsin–Michigan Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Marinette County, Wisconsin and Menominee County, Michigan. The population was 10,968 at the 2010 census. Menominee, Michigan is across the river to the north, and the cities are connected by three bridges. Menominee and Marinette are sometimes described as the twin cities of the Menominee River.
Menominee is a city in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,599 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Menominee County. Menominee is the fourth-largest city in the Upper Peninsula, behind Marquette, Sault Ste. Marie, and Escanaba. Menominee Township is located to the north of the city, but is politically autonomous.

Michigan State Parks 100: Menominee River

The Menominee River State Recreation Area is jointly managed by the Michigan and Wisconsin departments of natural resources. (The Menominee River is the state line.) On the Michigan side, there's no camping but there is a really nice trail along the river with plenty of spots to stop and admire the rapids. Also, you can check out white-water rafters and kayakers challenging themselves in the rapids on the way downstream.

Crossing into Michigan and tour of the Menominee construction zone on US-41

Here is a video of me crossing the state line from Wisconsin into Michigan. In this video, you get a tour of Menominee, Michigan especially of the construction zone on US-41. Towards the end of the video, youll notice that parts of US-41 look like the Panama Canal and have enough water where you could put a canoe in there if you wanted to.
