Antalya is one of the most interesting cities in Turkey! In this video, we highlight the 10 best things to do in Antalya. We hope that this information will help you plan your own trip to Antalya.
The 10 best things to do in Antalya, Turkey include:
10. The Upper Düden Falls. These waterfalls are an oasis of peace and nature located in the bustling city of Antalya.
9. The Tünek Tepe hike. The trail is located right on the outskirts of the city and is about 7km out-and-back. The top of the trail offers a birds-eye view of Antalya as well as the beautiful blue waters and mountains around.

8. The Lower Düden Falls. These waterfalls are in a different location than the Upper Düden Falls, but both are part of the same underground river. The water drops about 40m into the sea, creating an impressive sight.
7. The 7th best thing to do in Antalya is to watch the sunset. With its year-round good weather, Antalya is the perfect place to see the sun go down. Our favorite spots are the Old Town Harbour and Atatürk Park.
6. The ancient city of Aspendos, which is one of the best-preserved Roman theatre in the Mediterranean. There is an impressive old theatre, which is still in use today. You’ll also find ancient ruins of the city, such as an arena, basilica, aqueducts, temples and streets.
5. The Kursunlu waterfall ranks number 5 in Antalya because of its unique color and lush nature around it. It is located about 22km to the north of Antalya, but it feels much further from the city. The area consists of waterfalls connecting 7 ponds and a backdrop of lush pine trees.
4. The fourth best thing to do in Antalya is to visit the ancient city of Perge. Here, you can see the remains of the city, such as the column lined streets, the necropolis, Roman baths, and Greek and Roman gates.
3. Konyaalti Beach. It's one of the two main beaches of Antalya and located on the western side of the city. The beach itself is made of pebbles instead of sand, with a beach park and numerous bars, cafes, and hotels right beside it. Konyaalti Beach is the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day.
2. The Old Town (Kaleici). This is Antalya’s most picturesque place. You’ll find narrow cobblestone streets, traditional houses, and a charming harbour. But besides that, it’s also the historic heart of Antalya. The best way to learn about the history of the Old Town and other things to do is to join a free walking tour.

Antalya is the second largest city in Turkey and it's a must on your bucket list. The city is rich in history, with many ancient ruins that date back to the time of the Roman Empire. Antalya is also known as The City of Eternal Spring because of its mild climate and beautiful beaches. It has plenty of things to do, such as visiting ancient ruins or enjoying one of its many sandy beaches. You can also visit some historical places like the ancient city walls or the Roman amphitheater.
If you're planning a trip to Antalya, you'll probably be torn between relaxing on its beautiful white-sand beaches or immersing yourself in the unique shopping experience offered by Turkish bazaars and shops.
This is not to say that Antalya lacks historical sites; it has many, including Roman baths, Byzantine basilicas, and the ancient city walls of Kaleiçi. The northern part of Kaleiçi is mostly made up of touristy shops and restaurants that line the narrow maze-like streets.

Turkey - The Most Beautiful Places To Visit
Side is a true outdoor museum on the southern coast of Turkey is one of the most famous
historical settlements, located between Manavgat and the village of Selimiye, at 78
kilometers away from Antalya.
Whether you are staying in Antalya or in another resort, you can visit Side if you rent a car
or you take one of the Turkish minibusses (called dolmus) that transport tourists between
resorts.
From the seashore, you will have a beautiful panoramic view of the Taurus Mountains,
They are watching the town.
Following the beach trail, you reach in a few minutes towards narrow streets, colorful
terraces, hospitable merchants who urge you to buy a small souvenir or invite you to eat
and taste the Turkish or the Mediterranean dishes.
The buildings are in big contrast with the ruins of the old city, and the commercial combines with the antiquity and with the old Side stories.
Also, you can find the Temple of Athens is located in the port and the great Roman Theater is located at the opposite end of Side. The steps take you to the Temple of Apollo, and the 35-minute walk makes you stop from place to place to discover traditions, old customs, and the
handicraft of locals who do not forget their origins.
Side is guarded by two beautiful beaches that have a total of 30 kilometers, and to the
east the beach is quieter and continues up to the island of Manavgat, another attraction
near Side.
I’ll let you admire the sunset in Side, recommending you to get here at least once, I
guarantee you have a lot to see!

I have been living in Alanya for the past year and it is famous for its stunning beaches, Taurus mountains, and ancient history. Cleopatra beach in Alanya is one of the most famous beaches n Turkey as Queen Cleopatra once swam here.
Take the cable cars up to Alanya Castle which was once the summer residence of Seljuk Sultan Aladdin Keykubad. The Red Tower was also built during the reign of Sultan Aladdin and it is now a national symbol of Alanya. The Alanya shipyard is also nearby and you can buy a combined ticket with the Red Fort Tower.
The Alanya Pirate boat tours are popular with tourists and you can visit many caves and beaches during this tour. You can also see the famous Alanya lighthouse from the seas.
Some popular day trips from Alanya include Manavgat waterfall, Side (where you can try out dune buggies and white water rafting), Koprulu Canyon, and Sapadere Kanyon.
You can find many amazing restaurants cooking up some of the freshest and best produce that grows here in Alanya. One unique restaurant we recommend visiting is called Göl Piknik in the Dimçayi area. This is a fabulous mountainside restaurant with delicious dishes. We chose the sac kavurma, cheesy mushrooms, chips, eggplant, and yogurt salads. In the summer months, you can enjoy your meal outside in canopy’s surrounded by the water and play in the water park. After visiting this restaurant, you can visit the nearby Dimçayi caves, and lakes and enjoy the scenic views.

The Manavgat falls are located about 1 hour south of Antalya, Turkey. We went there while on our way to Side, a beautiful small coastal town that boasts ancient ruins.
The Manavgat falls are a beautiful place to visit especially during summer due the cold breeze from the waterfall. You can also have a table in the cafe near the waterfall and sit with your feet cooling in the stream.
The attractive falls are about 1.5m high in a slight horseshoe shape. The water has a sparkling green color. All of this makes for good photos since people can’t get in the way. It can get overcrowded with tour buses so you can probably expect this too. There were lots of tourist shops, kiosks, and cafes catering to all these visitors. Many were Turkish. It was a bright sunny day and we got some good photos and ate lots and lots of Corn.

Manavgat River originates on the eastern slopes of Western Taurus Mountains in Turkey. In ancient times it was called Melas (Ancient Greek: Μέλας). At an elevation of 1,350 m, the outflow of several small springs joins together to become the headwaters of the Manavgat. The largest of these springs is called Dumanli, whose name means place where there is fog, because of the dense mist that forms above the spring. In addition to the springs from the Taurus Mountains, the Manavgat is also fed underground from large lakes to the north of the mountains, on the Anatolian Plateau. Pliny the Elder considered that the river was the boundary between ancient Pamphylia and Cilicia.
From there, the river flows south over conglomerated strata for about 90 km, descending through a series of canyons. Finally, it washes over the Manavgat Waterfall and through the coastal plain and into the Mediterranean Sea. There are many caves in the river watershed area, the most interesting being the Altınbeşik cave.
The maximum flow of the Manavgat River is 500 m³/second, with an average of 147 m³/second. Using the average flow as a measure, the Manavgat River accounts for a very small amount of the water flowing into the Mediterranean. There are two dams over the river: Oymapınar Dam and the Manavgat Dam. Studies have shown that water drains into the Manavgat River basin from its surface watershed and also from endorheic basins, especially those to the east of the river.

Antalya Turkey: The Spectacular Manavgat Waterfall
In today's video, I visited the Manavgat Waterfall (also known as Manavgat şelalesi in Turkish), which is in the province of Antalya in Turkey. The Manavgat Waterfall makes a wonderful day out when staying in the Antalya region since there are many places to visit within the complex. Once you buy the Manavgat waterfall tickets, you will gain access to the various restaurants, juice stalls, souvenir shops, games, photo opportunities, and much more.
We took a bus from Alanya to Manavgat (about an hour and a half journey) and then took a taxi to the waterfall complex. It made a fantastic day out to feel the cool breeze after the intense heat in Alanya. We enjoyed some delicious grilled chicken skewers, kofte, and tea during our day. Manavgat can also be combined with a visit to Side in Turkey too as they are neighboring towns.
There may be opportunities to do a Manvagat boat trip as well as rafting in Manavgat during the summer, but it is not something that we saw when we visited.
