10. St Davids, Pembrokeshire, Wales
Let’s start our search in Wales. In Pembrokeshire, you’ll find a small city and community known as St Davids. Lying on the River Alun, it is the smallest city in the UK by population and the smallest urban area by local authority boundary.
The city has some of the most stunning coastal sceneries in Pembrokeshire. One of the charms of this place is its ability to blend its sacred status with its National Park. The location creates a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere for those who could take their time to visit. There are surf shops and outdoor adventure centers in the shadow of the cathedral at St Davids which offers a gateway to the coastline of the northern stretch.
9. Southwold, Suffolk, England

You can catch some fun on its famous blue flag beaches sand with your bucket and spade. If you like, you can walk along Southwold pier while marveling at its spectacular views.
8. Filey, North Yorkshire, England
Filey, in the Borough of Scarborough, is a beautiful seaside destination in North Yorkshire. It’s the eighth most popular in the UK. As a fishing village, it was popular among fishers and those partaking in fishing festivals. So, it was expected that one day it would develop into a popular resort, and now the expectation has come true. Its large beach played a big role here.
Like most of the other coastal towns, Filey has benefited immensely from fishing and farming consolidating its local economy. This is also been made possible by its equidistant location between Bridlington and Scarborough which only serves to help fish and foodstuffs trading.

Even the most fanatic lover of a country will love some parts of it less than others. I have heard some people complaining about some towns in England, the home of the Queen that some people are dying to live and work in. That prompts research into the 10 most hated towns in England.
This ranking is based mainly on the comments and complaints of residents of England and visitors to those towns. But it’s not limited to that since some complaints can be completely baseless. We dig deeper in researching these 10 most hated towns in England.
10. Slough
Let’s begin with Slough, a town in Berkshire, within the historic county of Buckinghamshire. This town is 20 miles west of central London and 19 miles northeast of Reading. You will find the town in the Thames Valley and within the London metropolis around the area at the intersection of the M4.
In spite of its location, Slough according to those visitors, is a town whose streets are littered with empty takeaway and full of packets or empty beer cans. This assertion hasn’t been contradicted by even just one resident. The quality of food in the town’s restaurants appears, kind of, made for losers who’re just out to eat as much unhealthy food as they can get away with.
9. Scunthorpe
It’s not desirable to find Scunthorpe among the most hated towns in England. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to take it out of our list because the facts obviously place it there. This industrial town in the unitary authority of North Lincolnshire should normally be the pride of Lincolnshire as its main administrative center. But the town with an estimated population of 82,334 in 2016 had many things going against it.
Residents of the UK’s largest steel processing center, also known as the Industrial Garden Town, are frustrated by a lack of the liveliness and diversity in the town only known for work. However, the loudest grouse that lists Scunthorpe alongside the most hated towns in England is the indiscriminate censorship and blocking of websites for spurious reasons.

Lytham St Anne’s is a beautiful seaside resort on the West Coast of England. Take a walk with us along the promenades where you can admire the views of the enormous beach and beautiful promenade gardens.
The beach in St Anne’s is very wide, perfect for family activities and long walks.
The pier is a little dated, but has an interesting story and the ruins of the end of the old pier are still standing on the beach, which is very much photographed object of the town.
Along the Promenades there are stretches of very well kept gardens with ponds, wildlife and a waterfall that you can go behind!
St Anne’s is famous for its golf courses and sand dunes. Winding paths in the dunes are perfect for walks and give fantastic views of the beach from high above.
Not to forget the sunsets, which are just breathtaking. West coast is perfect for sunsets and the one we saw in St Anne’s was spectacular. #walking #walkingvideo #lytham #bestbeaches #beautiful #youtuber

LYTHAM ST ANNES near Blackpool | A walking tour of Lytham St Annes Beach and Pier
Lytham is a seaside resort next to Blackpool, often described as one of the most prestigious places in Lancashire.
Lytham St Annes is a seaside town in the Borough of Fylde in Lancashire, England. It is on the Fylde coast, directly south of Blackpool on the Ribble Estuary. The population at the 2011 census was 42,954. The town is almost contiguous with Blackpool but is separated from it by Blackpool Airport.
Lytham and St Annes are a popular events destination and we think you'll love the annual five day Lytham Festival which takes place in a specially built arena on Lytham Green, or the Lytham 1940s Wartime Weekend as Lytham goes back in time every August, or the St Annes International kite Festival with colourful kite
St Anne's is a small but bustling resort with a pier, a padding pool and a bandstand: a fully-fledged slice of seaside life. Lytham is an even smaller residential town fronting the estuary of the River Ribble, rather than the sea, with the street lights of Southport twinkling comfortingly across the water.
The beach itself at St Annes is a huge expanse of golden sand. The sort that is perfect for running around on and building sandcastles. It's also a great spot for a paddle, however there are no lifeguards on duty and swimming isn't recommended towards the estuary. The sandy beach is so huge because of the wide tidal range of the Irish Sea. The beach is very flat, so the tide goes out a long way. But it comes back in very quickly – so beware!
This classic seaside resort on the coast of Lancashire offers a great social life for holidaymakers with locals scoring their happiness at an average of 7.44/10
At St Annes seafront and beach there are miles of open public land to explore. It’s an enormous natural beach. Walk the beautifully tended promenade gardens, complete with waterfalls and ducks. Enjoy traditional seaside attractions with fun for all the family.
The T junction between North/South Promenade and St Annes Road West is where you’ll find the central ‘seaside’ resort of St Annes seafront. It’s where the seafront hotels are, and all the traditional British seaside things.
St Annes Pier is opposite this junction, in the attractive surroundings of this typical British coastal resort.
There’s a good selection of high quality accommodation and places to stay, with a choice of period and modern properties. All designed to give you a perfect UK staycation!
There’s pay and display car parking at the front of and to the right of the pier. There are also Danfo public toilets here, pay with coins on entry to individual cubicles.
Nearby is the paddling pool which is very popular in summer, and next to it an attractive bandstand.
In Spring 2022, improvement works were carried out to the paddling pool. A ramp has been installed along with a new handrail. It’s also been resurfaced with a non-slip material to make it more accessible for people of all ages and abilities.
The seafront gardens are beautiful and well kept. At the southern end of the seafront is an ornamental pond and huge waterfall where you’ll find resident ducks.
Head South Along St Annes Seafront
Follow the seafront southwards with the sea on your right and you can walk right round the coastline. You’ll pass Fairhaven Lake and and if you carry on arrive at Lytham.

We were in Blackpool recently for a tour of the Blackpool seafront and thought it would be fun to take our cameras the short trip down the coast to Lytham St Annes for a (very windy!) walk around the seafront here.
When we arrived we parked our car in the carpark right in front of Lytham St Annes Pier and had a short walk along the promenade and beach and back. In this video we take you right along from the Ornamental Gardens to Lytham Pier and then onto the Les Dawson statue that stands in the happiness gardens here.
Lytham St Annes is a seaside town near Blackpool in Lancashire, and is probably most famous for the golf there, but we wanted to see if there's more to this place than just the golf championships!
Happy to report that Lytham St Annes is a lovely traditional little seaside town, with a fabulous Ornamental Lake Garden, beach huts, a miniature railway, a swimming pool, a great pier and of course the famous Lytham St Annes beach!
We begin our walk on the sand dunes and sandy beach near the Beach Cafe Fylde and make our way along towards South Promenade before taking a left turn into the beautiful Ornamental Lake Garden opposite the The Grand Hotel.
As we continue along South Promenade we pass the little chippers junior golf academy, and Splash Water Park and then head down past St Annes Miniature Railyway and a Toby Carvery before we arrive at Lytham St Annes Beach with it's famous beach huts.
We head further down the seafront to the RNLI Lytham St Annes Lifeboat Station which looks fantastic, and then round the man made lake to The View fish and chips restaurant which again looks great!
We are now at Lytham St Annes Garden and reach the St Annes Lifeboat Memorial from 1886 which stands looking out to sea.
Next up we reach one of the most famous tourist attractions here, the Lytham St Annes Pier. St Anne's Pier was opened to the public in 1885 and cost a whopping £18,000 to construct! The pier was 914 foot long and was very popular in the Victorian era. In fact steam boats used to come to St Anne's pier to take passengers down to Blackpool and back!
After leaving St Annes Pier we come to the peace and happiness garden where you will find pictures and information about the famous people and entertainers that have lived in Lytham St Annes from Bobby Ball and Sherrie Hewson to George Formby, Roy Walker, Jenny Eclair, Stephen Tompkinson and of course Les Dawson and we pay our respects by finishing this 4K Walk at the Les Dawson statue
