????????[4K] LINARES JAÉN Spain Beautiful Andalusian Town Walking Tour July 2023 | Andalucía

Linares is a city located in the Andalusian province of Jaén, Spain. Located in the Central-Western part of the province, the city of Linares is the second-biggest city in the province after the capital, Jaén. It is also the commercial capital of Sierra Morena, as well as the referential city in the surrounding areas.

The city has a Mediterranean Climate clearly divided into four seasons, with hot and dry summers where the temperatures can reach frequently 40°C, two transitioning seasons, spring and autumn, that concentrate most of the annual rainfall and a moderate winter, with temperatures that can sometimes drop below 0°C during night time, and occasional rainfall.

The city is well connected to the rest of Spain. There is a railroad station at Linares-Baeza, with lines connecting Madrid and Cádiz, and Madrid-Granada-Almería.

Around the middle of the nineteenth century Linares became an important mining center with lead mines nearby. The smelting of lead, the manufacture of lead sheets and pipes, and the production of by-product silver from the lead ores led to a significant population increase. The 6,000 inhabitants in 1849 became 36,000 in 1877. This commercial and industrial growth brought the concession of the title of city in 1875.

Places to see in ( Madrid - Spain ) Palacio de Linares

Places to see in ( Madrid - Spain ) Palacio de Linares

The Palace of Linares is a palace located in Madrid, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1976. According to the rumour mill in Madrid, Linares Palace lock up the ghosts of the first Marquis de Linares, like that of a child, their daughter. According to this legend, José de Murga y Reolid would have confessed to his father, the rich merchant Mateo Murga y Michelena, he fell in love with a poor girl, Raimunda Osorio, presumably daughter of a cigarette seller.

By knowing your father the name of the young, horrified, he would have sent his son to London in order to make him forget that young lady. The reason for his fear would be given by the fact that humble girl would have been the fruit of extramarital love by Mateo himself and therefore both lovers were half brothers.

The legend places Mateo died and the young newlyweds. In such a situation José would have found a letter from his father addressed to him in which he explained the reasons for his opposition to such a relationship. Jose and Raimunda, aware of the incestuous sin allegedly committed, would have been addressed to Pope Pius IX, who eventually would have granted a papal bull called Casti convivere, that is, to live together but in chastity.

However, the love they have made them overlook their relationship half brothers and have engendered a daughter, who allegedly murdered as a child to avoid a scandal. Such daughter, Raimundita would have been walled or drowned and buried in the palace itself and, according to this legend, today, her spirit paces the great halls of the old palace singing children's songs and calling their parents.

One gets left in Gibraltar is a small city of Linares. This is the home of Andres Segovia in 20th century classical guitarists worldwide. The city center has a museum of Segovia. After 1987 he floated the world and made it into a museum dedicated to Segovia in Linares city government building. Inside, all was full of stuff and photos, and Segovia is implement from your lifetime. Many relics are giving me a good fierce but his playing career was brilliant as a guitarist. Therefore Other music under a new evaluation, were you to loving people around the world are the work of one artist seems to have a stronger force than any weapon. In particular, photos of beautiful women were always around him through three marriages also came together in the eye. There is an underground museum of his mausoleum. The atmosphere was quiet classical guitar melodies will flow out. Mausoleum entrance has written the uptake of 'toothless There have never been fifty just resting here. 93 mothaetneunde also collapsed while walking to play in Miami in three elderly finger reminds me of the anecdote was without releasing the other end of the line. On the other hand, there is a museum backyard graves of his dogs Andi. Museum first floor there is a music room. Jaen's Culture: Food, History, & Architecture of Spain's Andalucía Region

Jaén (Spanish pronunciation: [xaˈen]) is the capital city of the province of Jaén, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain.
There are nearly 100 Paradores in Spain. These Spanish state-owned luxury hotels are usually located in historic buildings or areas with a unique appeal. Every Parador has its own restaurant offering regional gastronomy.
The city is also known as the World Capital of Olive Oil because it is the biggest oil producer known by locals as liquid gold.
In Jaén, the eating of tapas is widespread; numerous bars exist where, for the price of a beer (around €3), one can purchase a tapa, which consists of a small plate of food for one person.
The city lies at the feet of the Sierra de Jabalcuz, one of the subranges of the Subbaetic System, the inner system of the Baetic Mountains
Castillo de Santa Catalina overlooks the city. Previously, a fortress of Arabic origin existed, of which some remains still exist.
The current construction is of Christian origin, raised after the city’s conquest by Ferdinand III of Castile, called the Saint, in 1246.
In 2008, the procedure for the cathedral of Jaén to be declared a World Heritage Site, considering that it served as a model for the construction of other cathedrals in Spain and the Americas.

The current cathedral was conceived in the 16th century to replace a previous 15th-century Gothic edifice. Construction lasted for several centuries, with the original idea maintained the choir, built in the Neoclassical style and known as one of the largest in Spain.

The Arab Baths (Baños Arabes) in Jaén are among Spain’s largest Islamic bathhouses. These Arab baths had the function in their origins of purifying all the visitors who entered the city of Jaén. However, they are not used nowadays, being a great tourist and historical attraction.

Jaén Cathedral is one of the most important Renaissance-style cathedrals. Construction began in 1570 and was completed in 1802. It is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin.

It was built to shelter the relic of the Holy Face (the Veil of Veronica), lodged at the principal chapel, and exposed to the public every Friday. Due to the length of time in its construction, different artistic styles can be appreciated, the most prominent being Renaissance.
It aspires to be listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
