Looking for a couple free things to do or see while in Goreme, Cappadocia? Love Valley & Cavusin Caves!
You may need to hire a taxi, unless you want to walk a few kilometers. But other than that, the entrance to both of these were free.
Love Valley was pretty cool just to talk around and see the 'love sticks' with our own eyes. Just be careful of the evil dog nearby. Hopefully he is on a chain when you visit...rather than roaming freely!
Cavusin Caves are a must visit. We walked through, probably, 10% of the entire thing. Somehow we missed exploring the most interesting part...which was the center. Make sure you find your way there and look around. That place is so cool! So much mystery!

DELICIOUS Street Food in Turkey. We take you around to try some amazingly delicious street foods in Turkey, as we set out to experience the food heaven that is Antalya, trying the famous tavuk kanat chicken wings on a delicious Turkish street food tour.

We started our delicious street food tour here in Antalya, Turkey, by stopping off for some baklava for breakfast, the best way to start the day. After breakfast we headed to a true local shop that’s been selling the delicious and special Antalya street food, bağaça, since the 1940’s. This is food heaven and a must try when in Antalya, make sure to try the bitter almond cookie while you’re there!
We walked around the streets of Antalya near the old harbour, enjoying the history and looking for some more delicious street food, and we found food heaven! Delicious corn from a cart overlooking the harbour, and fresh midye dolma (stuffed mussels) straight from the Mediterranean. The street food in Turkey is so delicious and so diverse, it truly makes the country food heaven.
We continued our Turkish street food tour to try the famous arap kadayif, a special type of Antalya baklava that is super delicious and not too sweet.
We finished off our delicious street food tour here in Antalya, Turkey, at an amazing place for tavuk kanat, Antalya chicken wings. The shop is family run, with amazing hospitality and the most delicious food you can find near the old town of Kaleiçi.

Ultimate street food in Hatay, Turkey. We had such an ultimate day of eating in Hatay, trying the delicious Antakya kofte, amongst other tasty dishes, on an epic street food tour in Turkey.

To start our street food tour in Turkey, we went to Hatay Sultan Sofrasi to try some very unique and traditional Antakya dishes. It was the perfect way to start our day full of street food in Turkey.
Next stop on our street food tour in Turkey was to try şalgam, the ultimate fermented beverage that’s very popular in the Hatay region. The best place to try this street food is in the Long Bazaar from Hançer Ustanin Yeri, we’ve never seen a drink like it!
Our day of street food took a sweet turn as we tried a popular street food here in Hatay, kabak tatlısı, or pumpkin dessert. We were surprised just how juicy and sweet, crunchy yet soft, this ultimate street food was! We wandered from there and stumbled upon a street food a little less sweet and just as delicious, kombe, a cookie made in a special traditional way that we had the pleasure of watching. These ultimate cookies are packed with things like pistachios and dates, and go perfect with a fresh hot cup of çay.
During our previous street food tour in Hatay, one of the Ustas we met informed us of his friend's coffee and nut shop, so we just had to head over there to try some of this ultimate street food. The coffee, nuts, and especially the amazing people at Can Yayla Kuruyemiş are not to be missed on any ultimate street food tour of Hatay.
Our last stop of the day on this ultimate street food tour in Turkey was trying the delicious Antakya kofte. This street food was unlike any kofte we’ve had before! Long in shape, cooked on a very different kind of grill and wrapped in a durum dipped in kofte grease, this delicious Antakya kofte is definitely a different street food here in Hatay.
It’s no wonder Antakya is a UNESCO city of gastronomy since the street food in Hatay is some of the most ultimate street food we’ve tried.

Istanbul is our final stop in Turkey, and it has definitely been a stop to remember. We have jam packed so much in that we’ve even decided to dedicate an entire other video to all the food we ate during our time here. In this video join us as we explore the small bustling streets of Istanbul as well as the impressively beautiful Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. From the spice market to the grand bazaar and all the back alleys in between, this city was alive with commerce and culture. We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. So after waiting for six months for the borders to reopen in Ireland we have finally hit the road in June 2021 and spent 90 days enjoying vanlife in Spain. Then we spent the next two months enjoying vanlife in Croatia before heading onto Serbia which stole our hearts. Now we have journeyed from there into Turkey where we are meeting lots of fellow vanlifers.
