Walking tour Logroño La Rioja | North of Spain [4K]
Logroño was an old settlement, first of the Romans, under the name of Vareia a commercial port, and then of the Celts. From the 10th century, possession of Logroño was disputed between the kings of Navarre and those of Castile; the region was finally annexed to Castile. The name is a combination of le and Groin, mashed together as Logroño over time. Alfonso VI of Castile granted Logroño in 1095 a charter of rights that served as a model for other Spanish cities.

I would say just your average night in the city of Logroño, capital of La Rioja butttt it's not your average times... However, we nevertheless have had some good times here. We imagine it to be a good stop along the Camino de Santiago (Way of Saint James) if you're looking for a good party and some good food! For us though, it's just a bus ride into the big city life.
Some of our favorite tapas of the area definitely include a variety of mushrooms that are common and popular up here in Northern Spain so be sure to try some of those out in the city's busiest area for night life, Calle de la Laurel. Logroño is a city and municipality located in the north of Spain , capital of the autonomous community of La Rioja . With 151,136 inhabitants (2019), is also its town with the largest population —concentrating almost half of the total— as well as its economic, cultural and service center.
Being crossed in its northern part by the Ebro river , Logroño has historically been a place of passage and crossroads, such as the Camino de Santiago , and of borders, disputed between the ancient Hispanic kingdoms of the Iberian Peninsula during the Middle Ages. In the last century, the city has experienced a slow but significant demographic growth with respect to nearby populations, mainly caused by migratory movements from other regions of the province. It was in 1997 the 1st Commercial City of Spain, as well as the 1st Spanish Gastronomic Capital in 2012 and also the European City of Sports in 2014.

Places to see in ( La Rioja - Spain ) Cenicero
Cenicero is a municipality in the autonomous community of La Rioja, Spain. The municipality of Cenicero is the home of the world famous Bodegas Berberana winery, which lies close to the River Ebro.
Cenicero is an eminently agricultural municipality, where winemaking is the main product. Ashtray is situated on the right bank of the Ebro next to the Najerilla river . The land it occupies is constituted by natural terraces that lend themselves to the cultivation of the vine .
In a meander of the Ebro, bordered by the Najerílla, Cenicero rises between natural terraces full of vines and small orchards. Behind it, to the north, we can see the Sierra de Cantabria that separates the Ebro valley from the Alava plains . It is protected from the rains of the Bay of Biscay , but picks up its moisture, which makes the grapes develop formidably. Its limits are the Ebro river to the north, the Najerilla river to the west, a livestock gorge to the south separates it from Huércanos and Uruñuela , and east Fuenmayor and Navarrete .
t is located on the N-232 national highway that runs through the north of La Rioja and joins it with the capital, Logroño , which is 20 km away. The Ebro motorway ( AP-68 ) passes through the municipality and has its link in the vicinity of it. This route connects the city with the north and south of the peninsula.
