LAMBERTVILLE NJ | visiting towns along the Delaware River, plus a sunset hike to Goat Hill Overlook

On this trip, we went to one of our favorites, Lambertville, NJ. We know it's not in Bucks County, but as part of the celebration of the Delaware River, we are including it as part of our travels.

To start off, we crossed the bridge spanning the Delaware River and take that immediate left where we come across a long time friend, Peter. Peter and Ramon run an antique store, A Stage in Time, that is full of antiques as well as Ramon's art. Definitely a destination to check out before moving on.

Going back to Bridge Street, you will find so many cute shops and places to grab a quick bite or coffee that the choices can be difficult. We chose Bucks on Bridge, which has delicious coffee and ice cream, as well as an attached music store.

Finally, we stopped to eat at Inn of the Hawke. Our server, Josh, was the best. Their Tuscan Bread is worth the visit and the beer and wine choices made sure our dining experience was perfect.

The town itself has so much history to it too, between the beautiful churches and houses, you can see why so many artists like to come here. It's a great place for historians and artists to come together as well.

Finally, we decided to relax and take in the sunset overlooking the Delaware River from Goat Hill Overlook. It's an easy enough place to get to but the view, as you can see, is stunning and well worth the hike.

Thanks for joining us. As always, we hope you liked this video and will see you in the next one and remember to Squeeze the Day!

Sister Cities - New Hope PA & Lambertville NJ | Our Return to These Fascinating Delaware River Towns

We return to an epic favorite in this adventure, to compare sister cities, Lambertville NJ and New Hope PA. Mid-September on a Sunday afternoon shows two very busy towns that have established a long history of working well together. Thanks to good communication between the two cities, they are able to share in many events throughout the year. As for today, it’s just another busy Sunday.

Starting in Lambertville NJ, we show you a little of the traffic as people move around looking for souvenirs, drinks, and goodies. Then we move over to New Hope PA to show you an artistic wonderland, and don’t forget the views.

One of the most popular one being right in between the two cities and in the middle of the river at the border of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

As for us, it’s nice to take a walk and mingle with a lot of our friends as well as stopping by some of our favorite shops. This friendly community is one unique place everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. We hope you enjoy the video and get the chance to visit for yourself. And always remember to keep Squeezing the Day!

NEW JERSEY: Serene, Hidden Towns In The USA's Most Crowded State

I visited these New Jersey towns: Lambertville, Stockton, Frenchtown & Milford. I began the trip in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. This is the spot where Washington crossed the Delaware during the Revolutionary War, depicted in one of the USA's most iconic paintings.

Lambertville NJ — Charming Small Towns in New Jersey

Is Lambertville a good place to live?
Lambertville is about 70 miles from NYC, has lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Its schools are above average.

***

Lambertville is a city in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city's population was 3,906, reflecting an increase of 38 (+1.0%) from the 3,868 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 59 (-1.5%) from the 3,927 counted in the 1990 Census.

Lambertville is located on the Delaware River in the southwestern portion of Hunterdon County. During the 18th century, the area was named after various operators of ferries across the river to Pennsylvania, ultimately becoming known as Coryell's Ferry, after its owner, Emanuel Coryell. Coryell's Ferry was the western terminus of the New Jersey portion of the York Road (which became known in this area as U.S. Route 202) connecting New York City and Philadelphia. The community was named Lambertville in 1810, when the post office was established, in honor of John Lambert, a local resident who had served as United States Senator and Acting Governor of New Jersey, and who was responsible for the opening of the local post office.

Discover the Eclectic and Quaint Lambertville, New Jersey

Presented by Callaway Henderson Sotheby's International Realty

For more information go to:

As you wander Lambertville’s quaint downtown, with its boutiques and antiques, eateries and watering holes, historic sites and canal towpath, you might find it hard to imagine it as it once was: An industrial town known for its factories, where locomotives, wheels, rubber, hairpins and toilets were built. Today, it’s a funky little town as eclectic as its visitors: Citified day-trippers arriving in BMWs; leather-clad motorcyclists balancing on Hogs; and young families riding bicycles and walking. Take a walk around and you’ll spy charming neighborhoods filled with beautiful old homes, pocket parks filled with laughing children, and plenty of residents who traded in the charms of the big city to live in tiny Lambertville. It’s no wonder, then, that Forbes Magazine ranked Lambertville one of America’s 15 prettiest towns, on par with Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard and Kapa'a in Hawaii. Yep, you read that right. Lambertville is as pretty as Martha’s Vineyard and Hawaii.
