La Vega is a small town near the capital city of Bogotá Colombia. La Vega borders other towns like El Rosal, San Francisco, Tabio, Tenjo, Pacho, Supatá and Facatativa. Colombia is a country in South America which has many cities and towns, and today we are focusing on a town called La Vega Cundinamarca. This town is less polluted and less populated than the capital city but it's close enough to the capital so that you can experience the big city lifestyle, while being far from the hustle and bustle of the city. La Vega is one of 116 towns in the department of Cundinamarca and is a great place to visit if you want a warm getaway from the Capital city of Bogota. La Vega is touristic and I welcome you to join me on this journey through La Vega Colombia.

Nuestro primer destino fue La Vega, Cundinamarca, un municipio que nos mostró la grandeza de la naturaleza y lo divertido de los deportes extremos.
Salimos de Bogotá, la capital de Colombia e iniciamos un viaje de 2 horas hasta el municipio de La Vega. Este municipio tiene una temperatura promedio de unos 26 grados centígrados en el día.
En La Vega visitamos lugares de ensueño como la laguna El Tabacal y las cascadas de Natauta. Además, estuvimos realizando canotaje en el municipio de Tobia.
Esta aventura está llena de cultura, gastronomía y deportes extremos.

Our first destination was La Vega in Cundinamarca, a place that showed us the greatness of the nature and the fun of the extreme sports. We started in Bogota, capital of Colombia, and took a trip of 2 hours to La Vega. This town has an average temperature of 26 degrees during the day.
In La Vega we visited dream places as the El Tabacal lagoon and the Natuta waterfalls. Also we did boating in a close town called Tobia.
This is an adventure full of gastronomy, culture and extreme sports.

Bogotá ( is the capital of Colombia and is a very large city with many things to do, but there are even more things to do around Bogotá. There are several towns to spend a weekend of relaxation or adventure.
To the north of Bogotá in a one-hour tour you can visit the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá ( where you can take a tour of the mine and get to know one of the most notable architectural and artistic achievements of Colombian architecture, considered the number one wonder of Colombia ( You can also enjoy a night of partying at Andrés Carne de Res in Chia ( a large restaurant and nightclub on the outskirts of Bogotá. An hour and a half from Bogotá is the Laguna de Guatavita ( a place that tells the story of El Dorado, a lagoon full of gold.
For extreme activities, you can visit Suesca ( Other places located north of Bogotá are the Puente de Boyacá ( and Villa de Leyva (
To the east of Bogotá, you can enjoy a pleasant afternoon at La Calera ( a place recognized for the large number of restaurants it has and activities such as horse riding. Also, 45 minutes from Bogotá you can visit the highest waterfall in Colombia La Chorrera ( or the hot springs of Choachí ( To the east of Bogotá is also the Chingaza National Park ( perfect for enjoying a day of nature.
To the south you find the Paramo de Sumapaz ( and the Tequendama Falls ( To the west you can go to San Francisco ( Villeta ( Guaduas ( and Honda (

Qué hacer en LA VEGA, CUNDINAMARCA en 2 días
¡Sí que nos hacía falta la ruta!

Luego de más de 10 meses de estar en casa precisábamos volver a viajar, y aprovechando el motivo de nuestro aniversario, salimos a descubrir La Vega - Cundinamarca, un municipio a tan sólo una hora Bogotá; La Vega es un lugar recargado de naturaleza y destinos de ensueño.

Buscamos un sitio cercano, que fuera mas bien privado - para evitar el contacto con muchas personas pero sí con la naturaleza ¡Y porqué no! tal vez un destino un poco Romanticón, lo que nos llevó a Vega Glamping, un lugar que cumplía con todos nuestros deseos y además estaba cerca de destinos como la Laguna el Tabacal y Las Cascadas El Chupal, ideales para darles un toque especial a esta aventura.

Como medio de prevención decidimos viajar entre semana, encontrando muy poco flujo de personas, lo cual hacía aún más divertido y seguro el poder disfrutar de los destinos con mucha más tranquilidad y precaución ¡solo nos topamos con otra pareja y si al caso en las veredas! una medida que intentamos implementar en estos tiempos de cambios.

We arrived to Colombia two days before the protests in April 2021 broke out across the country. We were on a mission to visit family after two years apart.

Dominican Republic has this? No Beach! No Tourists! ???? Welcome to Jarabacoa in La Vega
In this week's video we're in the mountains of the Dominican Republic in a highly recommended town called Jarabacoa, near La Vega.
So many people have told us we need to come here and we're so excited to finally be in this beautiful and unique place.
We're on a tour of the mountains and rivers of Jarabacoa on a UTV!
