If I Was Your Tour Guide On Oahu, Hawaii | Circle Island Tour | Ideas For Your Vacation

Whether you're a visitor to the island of Oahu, Hawaii or a local, here are the spots I'd show you around the island. And the best part is most of these sites are free or $5 and under (except the Iolani Palace tour / Polynesian Cultural Center). This can be done in one day if you start early in the day, or can be broken up into two days. Don't forget to also visit the west side of Oahu for amazing beaches and hikes. This video was way too long to do that side. Check out my Waianae Eats video for more westside action! And don't forget Pearl Harbor (closed while filming due to a water main break) and Aloha Stadium's Swap Meet, which can both be done on another day if you wish to go there.

If you are into hiking, some other popular hikes not mentioned are the Manoa Falls Trail, Makapu'u Lighthouse Trail and the Pillbox Trial in Lanikai.

Places to see in ( Oahu - USA ) Laie Hawaii Temple

Places to see in ( Oahu - USA ) Laie Hawaii Temple

Laie Hawaii Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) located on the northeast shore of the Hawaiian island of Oʻahu. The temple sits on a small hill, a half-mile from the Pacific Ocean, in the town of Lāʻie, 35 miles (56 km) from Honolulu. Along with Brigham Young University–Hawaii and the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Laie Hawaii Temple plays an important role in the town of Lā'ie, with the Visitors' Center attracting more than 100,000 people annually.

In addition to initial building and construction, the temple has been dedicated for use by several presidents of the LDS Church. The temple site was dedicated by Joseph F. Smith on June 1, 1915, with Heber J. Grant dedicating the completed structure on November 27, 1919. Spencer W. Kimball rededicated the temple after significant expansion on June 13, 1978. Following seismic upgrades and remodeling, Thomas S. Monson rededicated the temple on November 21, 2010.

The Laie Hawaii Temple was the first temple built by the LDS Church outside the contiguous United States. The temple is also the oldest to operate outside Utah, and the fifth-oldest LDS temple still in operation. The Laie Hawaii Temple was formerly known as the Hawaiian Temple or the Hawaii Temple until the implementation of the standard naming convention for LDS temples.

Laie Hawaii Temple is not used for regular Sunday worship. As temples are considered sacred houses of the Lord, only church members who keep gospel covenants are allowed to enter for the purpose of participating in sacred ceremonies such as endowments, baptism for the dead and eternal marriage, a ritual in which couples and families are sealed for time and all eternity. Because of these guidelines, non-Mormons are not allowed inside temples, but public tours of the grounds outside and of the visitors' centers are available.

Our FAVORITE Beach in North Shore Oahu MUST-VISIT Laie Beach | Hawaii Travel Vlog

Join us as we explore Pounder's Beach in Laie Beach State Park on the North Shore of Oahu. The waves were awesome, and we had a blast playing in the water. We also stumbled upon a swing on the beach by the side of the road that was the perfect place to take photos and soak in the beautiful scenery.

We were hoping to find some sea turtles, but unfortunately, they weren't out that day. Nevertheless, Pounder's Beach quickly became our favorite beach we found yet. The sand was pristine, the water was crystal clear, and the views were breathtaking. We couldn't ask for a better place to spend our day.

In the evening, we headed to The Mill, a popular food truck spot on the North Shore of Oahu. We tried some amazing local cuisine and enjoyed the laid-back vibe of this picturesque area.
