ALANYA Things To Do - Turkey (4K)

18 Things to do from or in ALANYA, Turkey. Alanya Travel Guide.

Alanya, formerly Alaiye, is a beach resort city and a district of Antalya Province on the southern coast of Turkey, in the country's Mediterranean Region, 133 kilometres (83 mi) east of the city of Antalya. As of Turkey's 2010 census, the city had a population of 98,627, while the district that includes the city and its built-up region had an area of 1,598.51 km2 and 248,286 inhabitants.

Because of its natural strategic position on a small peninsula into the Mediterranean Sea below the Taurus Mountains, Alanya has been a local stronghold for many Mediterranean-based empires, including the Ptolemaic, Seleucid, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires. Alanya's greatest political importance came in the Middle Ages, with the Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm under the rule of Alaeddin Kayqubad I, from whom the city derives its name. His building campaign resulted in many of the city's landmarks, such as the Kızıl Kule (Red Tower), Tersane (Shipyard), and Alanya Castle.

The Mediterranean climate, natural attractions, and historic heritage make Alanya a popular destination for tourism, and responsible for nine percent of Turkey's tourism sector and thirty percent of foreign purchases of real estate in Turkey. Tourism has risen since 1958 to become the dominant industry in the city, resulting in a corresponding increase in city population. Warm-weather sporting events and cultural festivals take place annually in Alanya. In 2014 Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, of the Nationalist Movement Party unseated Hasan Sipahioğlu, of the Justice and Development Party, who had previously led the city since 1999. Adem Murat Yücel continues his duty as the Mayor of Alanya Municipality.

Kula volcanoes: The Kula volcanoes and their surroundings between the Kula and Salikhli districts have a volcanic geological structure and were declared a member of the UNESCO Network of Geoparks in 2013.

The zoo has a wide variety of natural formations that were formed under the influence of temperature fluctuations, rain, wind and erosion: The fabulous chimneys of Kula create a magnificent landscape with their pastel tones and fantastic relief in the Gediz Valley

Gediz Valley.Lake Salda: Lake Salda is a fresh, deep—water lake with inviting turquoise water and light, almost white sand, which the locals nicknamed the Turkish Maldives. Lake Salda is located at an altitude of 1140 meters above sea level. It was formed as a result of a volcanic eruption, in its very center — a crater. Lake Salda is volcanic and completely natural.

Rock tombs Fethiye: It is one of the five cleanest lakes in the world. The rock tombs in the Fethiye Mugla area are ancient tombs carved into the rocks. They are located in Fethiye, on the territory of Mugla province, on the Turkish coast of the Aegean Sea. The tombs were carved into the rocks in the period from the V century BC to the IV century AD.

Among them, the most famous is the tomb of Amintas, which is located on top of a hill and has a beautiful view of the city and the sea. It is believed that Amintos was the ruler of the Lycian kingdom. The entrance to the tomb is located at the top of the hill and leads through a staircase.

ALANYA TURKEY: Top 15 AMAZING Things to Do in Alanya (MUST WATCH!!!)

ALANYA TURKEY: Top 15 AMAZING Things to Do in Alanya (MUST WATCH!!!)

Today I share with you the top 15 things that you must see in Alanya Turkey. This is the best video you will ever see on Alanya, which is in the Antalya province of Turkey, as I show the top must-visit attractions of this city.

Take the Teleferik (Alanya cable car) up to Alanya Castle was built in the 13th century under the Seljuk Empire following the city’s conquest in 1220 by Sultan Aladdin Keykubad I.
The castle was built on the remnants of earlier Byzantine and Roman era fortifications. Today the castle is an open-air museum showcasing some of the Seljuk era artefacts and turquoise blue tiles.
You can also visit the Suleymaniye Camii in Alanya before you reach the castle.

One of the best ways to explore the coast of Alanya is by taking a boat tour from the harbour. You can take a private boat or the popular pirate ships which take you to various beaches and caves. One of the caves you can see is the Phosphorus Cave which is located in the Damlatas peninsula. The phosphorus coating on the walls causes the cave to glow a vibrant blue colour even during the night.

Side is just an hour drive from Alanya and a popular day trip from the city.
It is an ancient port city with long beaches, Greco-Roman ruins, a 2nd century amphitheatre and the famous Temple of Apollo. The old city of Side is filled with many cafes, restaurants, boutique hotels, souvenir shops and museums.

There are many local bazaars in Alanya where you can buy souvenirs.
If you’re looking for some big stores then you may want to visit the Alanyum mall. You will find many big stores, boutiques, souvenirs, a food court, a children’s play area as well as a cinema in Alanyum.

The Kevi Evi Park (or Cat House Park) is home to many cats and is full of beautiful trees and fountains. It is a great park to visit in central Alanya.

If you're looking for a good authentic Turkish restaurant then one we highly recommend is Bursa Kebab Ev in Alanya. One of our favourite cafes that you may consider visiting is Cafe Della Via in Alanya which serves delicious teas, coffees and refreshments.

The Red Fort or Red Tower is an iconic landmark of Alanya and full of well-preserved history from the Seljuk era.

There are many beautiful beaches in Alanya, including Cleopatra Beach (or Kleopatra Beach), Damlatas Beach and many more. You can do many activities such as paragliding, jet skiing and many more.

From Damlatas beach you can visit Damlataş cave (or Damlataş Margarasi).

BURSA: The 10 Most UNMISSABLE Places | Bursa, Turkey Tour in 2023

BURSA: The 10 Most UNMISSABLE Places

In this video, I share what I feel are the top 10 most unmissable places you can visit in Bursa, Turkey. Whenever you decide to travel to Turkey and tour this famous Ottoman city in 2022 or beyond, you can use this video as a way to guide you during your trip.

Make sure you turn on your subtitles (CC) if you wish to watch and enjoy this video in the language of your choice.

Bursa became the first major capital city of the Ottoman Empire after they captured it from the Byzantines in 1326. You can sense their presence through the various sites that exist within this fascinating and captivating city.

Bursa city center on its own provides you with outstanding historical sites such as the grand mosque, known in Turkish as Ulu Cami. This is Bursa's largest mosque and it consists of 20 domes!

Near the Ulu Cami, you can visit Koza Han, which is Bursa's oldest bazaar. Nearby to this are some fascinating markets that will really excite someone looking to spend some money.

Now if you happen to find yourself walking on the streets of Tophane, you are in for a treat as you will be able to visit the Sultanate Gate & Citadel, which is a significant historical site.

You can also walk into the complex where you can go and visit the tombs of both Osman Ghazi and his son Orhan Ghazi, the first two Sultans of the Ottoman Empire.

In addition, you can eat at a 600-year-old restaurant opposite this complex, where you really get to eat some of the most delicious food you can find during your tour of Bursa and many celebrities visit it frequently due to its outstanding reputation.

If you are someone that is looking for more of an adventure or desire to explore a little bit away from Bursa City Centre, then you are in luck as you can see some incredible waterfalls by going to Suuçtu national park. Suuçtu Şelasi is a must see.

Moreover, Gölyazı & Ulubat Lake is a great combination of a village near a lake that provides immense serenity and some of the most magnificent sunsets you can ever imagine.

The cream of the crop in terms of adventure is hands down riding on the Bursa Teleferik i.e. cable car. By doing so, you will see outstanding spectacles of Bursa City.

If this was not enough, once you reach the end of the Teleferik journey going up, you end up on Uludağ Mountain. Uludag is an unmissable place for anyone visiting Bursa. Whether it is summer or winter, there are exciting activities available here for everyone all year round.

My personal favorite activity was to ski for the first time in my life and that too on my birthday! I have already made two travel vlogs of my trip to Uludag where I show what one can do in the summer and the winter and you can those out on my channel.

If skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports are not for you, even then I urge you to go up to Uludağ Mountain and experience other activities that are in accordance with your taste.

Speaking of Village, Cumalıkızık, which is an Ottoman Village and a Unesco world heritage site is a must-see when you travel to Bursa. The colored houses that many converted into shops and cafes, as well as the cobbled streets, will provide you with exquisite nostalgia.

Another key attraction that is a must-see for anyone that appreciates Ottoman history is to go to the Green Mosque, known in Turkish as Yeşil Cami and the Green Tomb. Here, you will see incredible architecture and the tomb of Sultan Mehmet I.

Измир - 1 день;
Чешме - 1 день;
Алачаты - 3 дня.

Тем более, что в ближайшее время будут новые выпуски.

About this Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Memorial Day vlog:
In this episode, I’m in Ankara, Türkiye. After getting a lot of feedback from my Turkish fans, I wanted to capture the events on November 10, 2023, especially what happens at 9:05am. I started off in Kızılay, an area of Ankara and saw the incredible demonstration by the Turkish people. I was awed by their love for the Father of the Turks. It is one of my favorite travel experiences to date.

I then went to Anıtkabir, the mausolem of Atatürk. It was very crowded but well worth it. I waited over an hour to get inside of Anıtkabir and was happy that I could document the experience.

Finally, after leaving Anıtkabir, I went to the victory monument. This monument depicts Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as a World War I officer. I explained some of why he is such a beloved figure to the Turkish population.

About Atatürk Memorial Day:
Atatürk Memorial Day, also known as Atatürk Remembrance Day, is an important day of commemoration in Türkiye, observed annually on November 10th. This day marks the anniversary of the death of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first President of the Republic of Türkiye, who passed away in 1938. The day is marked with various ceremonies and events across Türkiye to honor Atatürk's memory and his monumental contributions to the modern Turkish state. At 9:05 AM, the exact time of Atatürk's death, a moment of silence is observed nationwide, reflecting the deep respect and reverence held for Atatürk in Türkiye. Schools, government offices, and many businesses participate in this tribute, demonstrating the enduring impact of Atatürk's legacy on Turkish society and national identity.

About Mustafa Kemal Atatürk:
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Türkiye, was a military officer and revolutionary statesman. Born in 1881 in Salonika, then part of the Ottoman Empire, he was instrumental in shaping Türkiye into a secular, unitary republic. Atatürk's military prowess was evident during World War I, notably at Gallipoli. After the war, he led the Turkish National Movement in the Turkish War of Independence, fighting against both foreign occupying forces and the Ottoman monarchy.

In 1923, following a series of military and diplomatic victories, he established the Republic of Türkiye, becoming its first President. His presidency was marked by profound political, economic, and cultural reforms to modernize Türkiye. These included replacing the Arabic script with the Latin alphabet, promoting secular education, and adopting Western legal codes. Atatürk's policies also focused on women's rights, granting them suffrage and opportunities for greater participation in public life.

He passed away in 1938, leaving a legacy as a charismatic leader who profoundly transformed Türkiye's societal structure and its place in the world.

Exploring a Small Town in Turkey ???????? | Solo Travel Tatvan | Turkey Travel Vlog (Ep. 21)

In this Turkey Travel vlog, I traveled to a place called Tatvan. While staying for only 1 night in a place called Siirt, a local man told me that Tatvan was beautiful. So I decided to go.

He was right. Tatvan is a pretty cool place. There is a mountain off in the distance that was formed by a volcano...and it looks pretty cool. I tried to visit the mountain, but local busses were not available to this place. Instead, I walked around and met a few local people.

There is a cool park located at the center of the boardwalk near the lake. There are so many people that gather here at the end of each day. So many families come together and simply hang out. Pretty cool!

My intentions were to go swimming, but much of the lake was terribly disgusting near the shoreline. There was a small area that some kids were swimming. I wanted to join them, but I was a bit scared to leave both of my cameras and cell phone on the platform while I was in the water, so I decided to just watch them swim for a few moments instead.

I tried walking in a neighborhood, but was stopped by a local man. He said not to enter. I don't know why. I tried translating...but he wouldn't use complete sentences when speaking in to the translator, so the translation didn't mean anything. I don't know what he said.

I talked to a teenage girl for about 20 minutes or so. She stopped me to see if I needed any help. Apparently I looked confused when I was near the shopping mall.

After around 6 O'clock, I visited the local park again and was shocked to see so many people. It looked like the whole town was there all at the same time. Families were picnicking, kids were playing, people were shooting air rifles, people were having dinner, playing tennis, and much more. It was pretty cool to simply walk around and observe the locals.

On the next day, I went to have lunch at a local cafe. As I was sitting there alone and browsing social media, two small boys walked up to me and randomly sat at my table. I was quite surprised. I guess they just wanted to talk. I'm still not entirely sure. Anyway, we had an interesting conversation. Soon their lunch arrived at their parent's table...and they said goodbye.

Definitely an interesting couple of days in Tatvan, Turkey!

Goreme Sunset Viewpoint Worth The Hype? | Things to do in Cappadocia | Turkey Travel Vlog (Ep. 6)

Is the Goreme sunset viewpoint worth it?
We definitely think so!

Are you looking for things to do in Cappadocia? Well, the cost of entry is 5 Lira per person.
Being able to get high enough to look down on the town of Goreme and also the spikes that are all over the ground...while the sun is setting - is pretty special.

I think it's totally worth it.

Being that this viewpoint is almost free (5 lira), I would think this has got to be in the top 10 of Cappadocia.
