History can't depart from our lives. Ohinto forest has a lot to tell us.
The name Ohinto is the ancestors who first lived at Jasikan, when they traveled from Akwamu to Jasikan which is part of the places our elders lived. In those days, wild lives like lions, tiger and so on all lived in this forest but now its only the forest. Farmers too have cultivated there. Some go there just to touch the land to indicate they have also been around. At Jasikan college of education now there's something called the 'lions cry' which is the roar of the lion ,a slogan which the school upholds in high esteem. Its begins with bravery words which was used to scare the children.
