10 Best Places to Visit in China - Travel Video

Check out all the places seen in this video:

China, the gateway to East Asia, is a fascinating country. It is an ancient civilization that gave the world Peking Man, gunpowder and noodles. Visitors making their first trip to China usually stick to the larger cities. More experienced visitors to the Middle Kingdom will strike out in other directions, where traveling may be a bit more frustrating because of the language barrier, but most definitely doable for independent travelers. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in China:

5 BEST THINGS TO DO IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY **2023** Travel Guide

The Legendary Home of the Kentucky Derby, Louisville Kentucky is also know for a booming bourbon renaissance, iconic attractions, world-class hotels & venues, a renowned culinary scene, and bluegrass routes. So whether you're looking for a summer vacation idea or a weekend road trip, Louisville KY is a fantastic place to visit with plenty of things to do, attractions to see, and fun experiences to enjoy!
In This Video You Can See the Top Fun Things to do in Louisville (KY) / Best Places to visit / Top Tourist Attractions / Destination / What to do / Places to see.

Located on the Ohio river, Louisville KY is known Derby city or as the gateway to the south. Although to me, it's a different kind of south.
More a mixture of the south, Chicago, East Coast, and Midwest.
It's a unique mixture of culture here. The population is just shy of 800,000 people and there's lots to explore in this city. Today I'll be sharing the best 5
things to do in Louisville!

Yes, there's the Louisville Slugger Museum here which is first on the list because there's a world record right outside it's front doors. So First is a drive downtown (which, side note, there are a fair amount of one way streets). Which is sure sure to lead you to the Baseball Slugger Museum!
Yep, and it's an exact-scale replica of Babe Ruth's 34 inch Louisville
slugger bat. And while you're here, step inside to see their signature wall,
filled with, you guessed it, baseball player signatures, This part is free, but
The factory tour itself it $18 and you'll get a mini bat at the end of the tour, get to actually hit and hold different bats held by the greats like Babe Ruth.
Also take a walk downtown, it's full of statues and random interesting
things to take a quick self-guided walking tour of sorts. Oh and don't forget to look up, there's many planes always landing over the city.

Okay, but if baseball or Babe Ruth isn't your thing, then maybe some
other famous people are more your style, like Muhammad Ali or KFC founder Colonel Sanders!
Although an unusual stop on most itineraries, Cave Hill Cemetery is
number two on my list. Many headstone are like artwork as well as for people who were born and died in the 1800s, so an old cemetery indeed. It's not flat and full of nice trees. So a good early morning walk plus stop and see the resting places of some famous people. It was surprisingly amazing.

You heard right, now we are headed to what Louisville is really
known for... the famous horse races at Churchill Downs,
where the Kentucky derby is ran on the first Saturday in May
every year! This was my favorite stop because I love horses and
horse racing and this history of this specific track. Cool experience
to walk on the same grounds as historical greats like Secretariat and
many many more, which when you're here you'll notice all the horses
names that have won the derby along the buildings. Also a cool thing was everyone stopped when the national anthem was playing, and as soon as it was finished, the building came alive again with movement.
Also, be sure to take in the whole experience, including the sounds of the race crowds. Every time the horses near the finish line the crowd roars and it's a unique and fun experience.
There were decent food options, it's known for Mint Julips, but we shared
a Flannigan Oaks Lily and it tasted really nice. The gift shop had some real derby hats there and real derby prices, even a bow had this price tag on it. But the shop was nice!

Fourth, it's only $10 for an hour riverboat ride. It's historic with the
boat being over 100 years old, it's a great way to see the Ohio River,
and a great way to relax a little bit and enjoy the breeze!

Fifth and finally is from where I began this video, the big four
bridge! This bridge has different personalities from the daytime
to the nighttime. Daytime it's full of people walking, running, biking,
taking drones out, and a good time to enjoy the bridge. At night it comes alive with the young and scooters. So just be prepared for that.

Louisville is a great long weekend trip destination with a fair amount of
things to do! Safe travels and I'll see you all in the next video!

Cool Roadside Attractions From Louisville To Nashville

Here’s a great camping tip! Allow time on every camping outing to spend a day just road tripping. Maybe you pick a final destination, but don’t set a schedule or a route to get there. Just go … and enjoy what comes along the way.
The 50 Campfires team did just that on the Field Trip: Bourbon Trail. On the final day of their trip, they knew they had to get from their last campsite near Louisville, Kentucky to a hotel near the airport in Nashville, Tennessee. When they arrived didn’t matter that much.
So they set out in the Nissan Armada to see what they could see along the way. As usual, this unscheduled, unplanned portion of the trip turned up the most surprising discoveries and meaningful memories of the entire adventure.

Fun Free Things To Do In Louisville Kentucky

I am in love with Louisville! A city you never knew was just waiting for you.

1.Get artsy at 21c Museum Hotel
This hotel located downtown on West Main Street doubles as a contemporary art museum. A double-size gold replica of Michelangelo's statue of David stands by the street near the entrance, and art exhibitions rotate throughout the space.
Unfortunately, it costs money to stay the night and to eat dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Proof on Main, but the museum is free and open to the public year-round

2. Be in two states at once on the Big Four Bridge
The Big Four Bridge is a former railroad bridge built across the Ohio River in 1895 connecting Louisville Waterfront Park to Jeffersonville, Indiana. It's a gathering spot on nice days and evenings.
At about a mile long, the bridge is open for pedestrians and bike riders to cross at their leisure. The bridge has cool lights and music, and vendors pop up at the edges to satisfy your thirst and cravings.

3.Visit the Speed Art Museum on Sundays
Admissions into the museum are free on Sundays until 2021. The museum's various collections include art of ancient cultures, African art, Native American art, European and American art, contemporary art and photography. (Some temporary exhibitions may not be included in Sundays' free admission.)

4. Explore Cave Hill Cemetery

Nearly 300 acres, Cave Hill Cemetery is a rural, garden-style cemetery founded in 1848. It is the resting place of many people important to Louisville's history, including Muhammad Ali, Colonel Sanders and Louisville founder George Rogers Clark. The national cemetery also is the burial site for over 5,500 soldiers killed in American wars dating back to the Civil War.
It's free to visit the cemetery and walk among the trees, flowers, statues and mausoleums.

5. The Brown Hotel To Eat a Hot Brown and Kentucky Pie.
We were celebrating my son's first birthday here and shared a hot brown, the Hot Brown is an open-faced sandwich of turkey and bacon, covered in Mornay sauce and baked or broiled until the bread is crisp and the sauce begins to brown.

Derby pie is a chocolate and walnut tart in a pie shell with a pastry dough crust. It is made with walnuts and chocolate chips. Imagine a pecan pie, only better!

A huge thank you to our friend Maggie and husband Michael for showing us around their beautiful city!

Well there you have it. Thank you for watching our adventure. Now go out there, make your own and tell me all about it. Until next time. Keep traveling.

Louisville Manor Motel ...

The Louisville Manor Motel is certainly one of a kind. Located along Dixie Highway it's one of the seediest places in the state, if not the country. I have literally never come across anything like it throughout my travels. I have never step foot in this place and have zero plans of ever doing so. If you've stayed here, I'd love your feedback. I'm not looking to rag on it, but it's not my cup of tea. That said, life is all about different strokes for different folks.

The purpose of this channel is NOT to judge, rather, it's all about exploring, documenting, and sharing photos and videos of cultural enrichment. All frames and clips were taken from the public right of way. I did not enter the LMM property at any point in time.

KALASAMAL - ECO TOURISM VILLAGE
Kalashamala, once a dense green hilltop in Kunnamkulam, today hosts an ecotourism center. Also known as Narimada Kunnu or Kallazhy Kunnu, it is set to be a go-to destination in the coming years. One of the five biodiversity heritage sites in Kerala as designated by the Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB), Kalashamala also has a sacred grove. A large archway greets visitors to the revamped ecotourism center in Kalashamala. Some of the major new attractions now include a large children’s park at the entrance. A rainwater harvesting pond has been installed. A thriving herbal garden has been set up with signs against each plant so that visitors can identify them. Small, sheltered spaces have been constructed across the area for visitors to stop for a rest. Kalashamala has been featured as a location in some Malayalam feature films for its undulating landscape. Onward from the entrance is a slightly longer walk to Narimada, a cave large enough for an adult human being to stand in. It is a place of curiosity for visitors as it dates back to the Stone Age. One can find ‘kuda kallu’ and ‘thoppi kallu’ around the area, also known as umbrella stones and capstones respectively. A temple on the hill amidst a grove is another crowd-puller. The deities worshipped at the temple grove are Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. The grove is spread over 3.5 acres and is home to an endangered tree species known as Kulavetti or Vadhamkolli. It is included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List. The monsoons are the best time to visit as the surroundings turn into a verdant carpet for miles together. Together with the new facilities, Kalashamala has something for everyone to look forward to.
