The Taftan Border Crossing is famous for travel to Europe or South Asia by Road. World Tourist pass-through this border. Motorbikers, Cars vloggers also visit it but nowadays, Shia Zaireans are using this way to go to Iraq. The local language is Balochi, Religion Mostly Sunni Islam. Taftan Border is one of the best places to visit in Baluchistan. Tourism is not growing but the land of beauty is superb. Tourists from different parts of the world travel on this route to cross Pakistan to enter Iran or India.
Taftan derives its name from the mountain peak which is on the Iranian side of the border and is snow capped in winters. The city is famous for trade items going from the Indian subcontinent to Iran and vice versa. Taftan is a city in Balochistan. It's very close to the borders of Iran and Afghanistan. Taftan may only look like an insignificant dot on a guide book or website, and in a way it deserves no more, but it is an important town in many respects. Its name is derived from a volcano of a similar name in Iran.
The Taftan border of Pakistan is situated in the trunk road and railway town in Chagai District, Baluchistan. It is one of Pakistan's border crossings with Iran. It is by either road or rail over 500 km (310 mi) from Quetta. It is 62 kilometres (39 mi) northeast of the thermally active dark peak or small massif also called Taftan, wholly in Iran.
Taftan is a commercial town located on the Pakistan Iran border, which is located 500 kilometers from Quetta and the journey takes 10 hours to reach. Traveling in this area comes with some risks, as the area is known for sectarian violence. The issue of illegal border-crossing by Pakistanis is more complicated. A large number of pilgrims visit Iran from Pakistan via the Taftan border crossing on a daily basis. Tourists have been kidnapped and killed here in the recent past, on both sides of the border.
Quetta district is bounded to the north by Pishīn district, to the west by Afghanistan, to the east by Ziārat and Harnāi districts, and to the south by Mastung and Nūshki districts.
The city is the divisional and district headquarters and is an important marketing and communications center at the north end of the Shal Valley about 5,500 feet above sea level.
