Hangu District ضِلع ہنگو is a district in Kohat Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. The district takes its name from the town of Hangu, which is its administrative centre. The name Hangu may also sometimes be applied to the Miranzai Valley which is partly within the district, bordering the Samana Range. Hangu District was created from part of Kohat on 30 June 1996. Its area starts from a village named Khawaja Khizer (Jawzara), which is the boundary between Kohat and Hangu Districts.

The Samana Range is a mountain ridge in the Hangu District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan, commanding the southern boundary of Tirah. The ridge lies between the Khanki Valley on the north and the Miranzai Valley on the south, and extends for some 30 m. west from Hangu to the Samana Suk. It is some 6000 to 7000 ft. high.

Three amazing picnic spots @ District kohat and Hungu KPK.
Hi everyone wellcome back to our channel @fahadsohail3814 . we are back with an amazing travel video in which we cover three amazing places in district kohat and district Hangu KPK.
1. Chashmaa Kachai Inam
This is an amazing crystal clear water chashma located in kachai Inam village district kohat. peoples are coming here in summer and winter. You can easily reach there by beautiful curvy roads on bike and your car also. Its 1 hour ride from kohat.
2. Samana Top
This is an amazing and beautiful pocnic spot with the altitude of 6-7000 feet above sea level. Samana receives huge amount of snow and rain. The road condition is mint and easily accessible.
3. Tandaa Dam kohat
Third and final destination was Tanda Dam . Tanda dam is a small dam located in kohat district of khayber pakhtoonkha. It supplies water for irrigation to many villages by means of canals. It becomes operational in 1967 and integrated by president Ayub khan 1962 covering an area of 405 hectares with the initial capacity of tanda dam was to store 65000 acre feet of water.
