In this video, we're experiencing a temple stay at the Daehuengsa which is the Daehueng temple in Haenam county in the very south of Korea. This trip was sponsored by Funday Korea Network in collaboration with KOCIS (Korean Culture and Information Service)
Daeheungsa Temple, which means “Great Emerging Temple,” in English, is located in Duryunsan Provincial Park on Mt. Duryunsan (700m), which means “Head Wheel Mountain,” in English. The temple is located in the city of Haenam, Jeollanam-do. Because the name of the mountain that Daeheungsa Temple is situated on has also been called Mt. Daedunsan (673.4m), the name of the temple has alternated between Daedunsa Temple and Daeheungsa Temple. In 1993, the name of the temple, changed once more, from Daeheungsa Temple back to Daedunsa Temple. Finally, in 2003, it was changed to Daeheungsa Temple, perhaps for good? Throughout the years, the name of the mountain that hosts Daeheungsa Temple has also undergone numerous name changes. At one point, the mountain was called Mt. Handeum, which means “large,” and “round,” in English. As a result, the name of the temple also used to be Handeumsa Temple for a long period of time. Afterward, the name of the temple changed to Daedeumsa. “Dae” is the Hanja (Sino-Korean) character for “large,” replacing the former use of “Han.” Afterward, the name of the temple changed to Daedunsa Temple.

Ttangkkeut Village, Haenam, South Korea (해남 땅끝 마을 관광지). Many people visit the area so they can say they’ve stepped on the end of the land and it has long become a prime destination in Haenam.
At the summit of Sajabong peak there is an observatory that stands 38m high. From the observatory you can get a full viewing of the Dalmasan Mountain in the north while in the east, fishing vessels can be seen skirting deftly on the surface of the sea. Atop the summit of Sajabong peak, there is a restored old beacon (Bonghwadae) which in the past was strategically located to warn of approaching Japanese ships. In the village proper, the area known as Ttangkkeut Village, special events take place to celebrate the end of year and the first day of the New Year, which also draws many tourists to the area from all over the country.

[4K] What to visit in Korea? Magoksa Temple, UNESCO World Heritage site in Korea #10
Magoksa Temple was founded by Monk Jajangyulsa in 640, a representative temple of Chungcheongnam-do. Magoksa Temple is surrounded by a mountain and a stream curving in a yin-yang shape. Perhaps because of such a shape, this temple was never damaged by any major wars during the Joseon period (1392-1910). It is most beautiful during the spring time, when the cherry blossoms, sansuyu, and magnolias fill the whole area.
Two eye-catching sights at Magoksa Temple are the Five-story Stone Pagoda and the Chinese juniper trees scholar Kim Gu (Korean politician and freedom activist) is said to have planted. The top of the Five-story Stone Pagoda is decorated with bronze. This style was influenced by the Lama Buddhist sect of Tibet, and there are said to be only three such structures left in the world.

Dalmasan, Mt. Dalma, is part of the Taebaek mountain range and lies in Haenam county, South Jeolla province, South Korea. Its elevation is 489 meters, and its peak offers views of the Land's Edge, (땅끝) the southernmost point on the Korean peninsula, 땅끝마을, and outlying islands such as Wando. Also in the vicinity are Mihwangsa and a number of hermitages affiliated with it.
There are many temples although the scale are not that huge. Mihwang temple is one of the best sights which tourists visit.[1] It also has temple stay program for foreigners and Koreans.
