CAÑON DEL GUAPE, URIBE META COLOMBIA
El cañón del Río Guape es una de las atractivos naturales más impresionantes que tiene nuestro país, y este cañón sumado a cientos de actividades ecoturísticas están ubicados en el municipio de Uribe en el departamento del Meta.
A este municipio era imposible acceder hace 20 años, pues era el lugar donde las farc se refugiaba, luego de los acuerdos de paz, la economía se empezó a dinamizar gracias al turismo y desde ahi vienen escribiendo una nueva historia.
Esos relatos también hacen parte del recorrido, un ingrediente que hace que esta travesía sea aún más especial.

El departamento del Chocó se caracteriza por tener una costa de tonalidades grises que combinan perfectamente con los cielos opacos del Pacífico. Sin embargo, existe una playa en el Parque Nacional Natural Utría que quita la respiración. Se llama Playa Blanca y es un lugar en donde puedes caminar por años sin cansarte. EL PEÑON, MASSIVE ROCK CLIMBING IN GUATAPE, COLOMBIA ????????
Today we go on an adventure in Colombia to El Penon, the massive rock formation that juts out into the sky suddenly around El Penol and Guatape, Colombia. This massive stone rises 650 feet out of the flat ground of Guatape, Colombia, the Piedra de Penol or El Peñon de Guatape, which was once worshiped by the Tahamies Indians. At the top, you get the best view in the world from a rock. This mysterious rock formation wasn't traversed until 50 or so years ago, and when humans finally got to the top, they discovered a species of plant only found there and nowhere else on earth. Come with us and tour Guatape, El Penol, El Penon, and some of the most interesting places in all of Colombia. If you're looking for something to do around Medellin, then take a day trip here. -How do you afford to travel?
I have had 2 jobs since I was 15 years old and made sure to save at least 90% of that for travel and school. I always have a temporary job when I am home but hope to be able to travel full time to consistently make videos!
-Is traveling solo safe?
I want to say the answer to YES! With lots of caution to everything you do and following my ‘basic backpacker rules’ you should be able to remain safe!

I LOVED Mexico, Nicaragua, Colombia and Ecuador. I know this is a lot but they are all amazing for backpacking throughout the country, meeting international friends, and keeping to a backpacker budget!

Ipiales Colombia is Truly Amazing ????????
we spend a day in Ipiales is a small Andean city in Colombia close to the border of Ecuador. This is a small city with a population of only 123,341 people but there is so much to see in this relaxed city just a 3 $ taxi drive to get to one of the most beautiful churches i have ever seen Las Lajas Sanctuary is the name and it is simply stunning the church the town and all the surroundings are amazing.. if you have a chance to go dont miss this . it is a Catholic pilgrimage site in south america. under the church is the the Guáitara River with waterfalls and amazing things to see all along your walk to the church. anything for sale there is a very normal price and not inflated for tourists people in the town depend on the tourism to make a living so try and support some locals . they are friendly and the town is very safe . we recommend you take an umbrella as the weather can change fast as you are up at altitude about 2,898 m so it can get cold also .

ISLA GORGONA | EL SECRETO MEJOR GUARDADO DE COLOMBIA | 4K UHD
La Isla Gorgona es uno de los secretos mejores guardados de Colombia. Ubicada en el área del pacífico a tan solo 1 hora y media en lancha desde la Costa del poblado de Guapi. La Isla Gorgona guarda una gran cantidad de Fauna y Paisajes que se encuentran protegidos y muy poco intervenidos por el hombre. También guarda mucha historia y sufrimiento. En 1960 Gorgona fue una cárcel que estuvo abierta por 24 años hasta 1984. Aquí se enviaban los reclusos más peligrosos de Colombia. En esta época, el 75% de toda la vegetación de la Isla fue arrasada para mantener la prisión funcionando, se quemo gran parte de la Isla y mucha vida fue eliminada. No fue hasta 1983 que la isla fue declarada patrimonio de La humanidad por la Unesco y al día de hoy la naturaleza ha recuperado todo lo que perdió en su tiempo, dejando atrás los supuestos crímenes contra los derechos humanos que se cometieron en la Isla y solamente viejas ruinas de lo que en su momento fue una prisión de máxima seguridad.
Además algo que olvide mencionar en el video y es de suma importancia es que la Isla Gorgona esta justo en las rutas de migración de las ballenas jorobadas. Por lo que entre los meses de Junio a Octubre se pueden realizar avistamientos de ballenas y hasta escuchar los cantos mientras uno bucea en las costas de la Isla.
Si bien en la Isla llueve 24/30 días del mes. los meses menos lluviosos son entre junio y septiembre. Siendo los más lluviosos Diciembre a Febrero.

Let the Rhythms of Colombia Inspire Your Rhythm of Life!
For a unique summer solstice celebration while practicing safe social distancing, this Sunday, 21st June 2020, ProColombia, the government agency responsible for promoting international tourism, foreign direct investment and exports, is inviting music lovers from around the world to feel the uplifting rhythm of Colombia on World Music Day. Via a syndicated global livestream video, the sounds of Colombia, the country often hailed as The Land of 1,000 Rhythms, will be shared at this year's Make Music Day, the worldwide day-long music celebration, which is being held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Those with wanderlust may need to wait a little while longer before being able to experience a visit to the country, but daydreamers can still discover the diversity of 1,000 rhythms of Colombia by tuning in to the livestream video broadcast throughout the day. All Make Music Day events are free to join. The entire livestream will last from approximately 8am until midnight (Eastern US) / 1pm until 5am (BST) and the full schedule of events is available to view at

En una isla del Pacífico colombiano hubo un penal de alta seguridad. Con el tiempo, la jungla devoró su recuerdo y a sus aguas llegaron otras gentes con intención de disfrutar paseando por sus fondos, unos fondos plagados de vida y belleza que se ofrece a los ojos de los buceadores nada más meter la cabeza en el agua.
Teo Reveriego, Pablo Mirat y Pedro Casillas, del Club de Buceo SONAR de Cáceres, fueron hasta allá para hacer llegar a todos estas imágenes.
