Beautiful Guánica, Puerto Rico Tour 4k

Come visit Guánica, now known as the Town of the earthquakes
Even though the town has very little population now because of the tremors there are still lots of natural beauty in the town.
Guánica; Known as officialy the paradise of eternal summer
Guánica was founded on August 12, 1508, by Juan Ponce de León when he first arrived and established a settlement called Guaynia. Guánica derives its name from the Taíno Indian term guaynia, which means here is a place with water. Christopher Columbus landed during his second voyage to the New World in 1493, and later in 1898 became the site where General Miles and the U.S. troops landed to take Puerto Rico from the Spanish, during the Spanish-American War.
This small town is the home of the Guánica Dry Forest Reserve, also known as El Bosque Seco de Guánica. The reserve covers over 9,500 acres of land along the southern coast, making it the largest remaining tract of tropical dry coastal forest in the world and it contains hiking trails, caves, beaches, and the ruins of a Spanish fort, Fuerte Caprón. Also there are a total of 39 beaches.
Tour of Guanica, Boqueron, Cabo Rojo, and La Parguera - Puerto Rico travel info

Follow us as we go exploring around the island of Puerto Rico. We stayed in a cute Airbnb in Guanica and use it as a home base to find adventures on the west end of Puerto Rico. We took a day trip and we went to see the lighthouse at Cabo Rojo and see the Salt Flats. But the road to the Lighthouse is closed because of the Rona. Then we went over to Boqueron and we loved that little town it was our favorite. The food and the bars and everything were really cool. Then we went over to La Parguera to check out that area. It was cool but smaller and if you were going to do the Biolumineses tour it would be a fun town. Then we drove back to Guanica in time to walk down and catch the sunset at our own private little beach. So come along with us and explore Puerto Rico!

Guánica, Puerto Rico Beach, Spa, Hiking Trails and Lighthouse Ruins | Travel Puerto Rico

Getaway to Guánica, Puerto Rico for Beach Watersports, Spa, Hiking Trails and Lighthouse Ruins

The home base for this gorgeous getaway in Guánica is the Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa on the southern coast of Puerto Rico.

Las Palmas Café is an open air restaurant and bar overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The menu has a great selection of tasty burgers and sandwiches, delicious salads, and plenty of fish.

Nearby Attractions
The Ruinas del Faro de Guánica is located on the windy coastal road to Copamarina. The Guánica lighthouse was abandoned years ago, and the 2020 earthquakes destroyed what was left of the exterior walls.

Bosque Estatal de Guánica is an almost 10,000 acre nature reserve featuring subtropical dry forests and a variety of hiking trails. Register at the ranger station before beginning your hike and remember to bring plenty of water. There are tons of trails in the reserve and the Ranger can recommend appropriate trails for your skill level and allotted time.

Ni Spa at Copamarina offers a variety of spa services, including an overwater gazebo massage!
The lotus flower massage oil and fresh ocean air are the perfect ingredients for relaxation. The massage oil, as well as the body wash, shampoo & conditioner are locally made and smell amazing!

The spa facilities are small and intimate, with steam room and outdoor showers.
