Eleuthra Island. The name of the island comes from the Greek adjective “eleútheros” which means “freedom”. This skinny island is approximately 90 miles between its furthest ends and averages less than a mile wide in most places. Eleuthera is known for having one of the better selections of pristine beaches in the Bahamas. Sailing The Bahamas - Governor's Harbour
After our lovely stay in Royal Island, we pulled up our anchor and headed for Governor’s Harbor on the island of Eleuthera, The Bahamas. Following the inward track we made on our plotter, we motored out the same way knowing that we’d avoid all the rocks and shallows. Once we were clear of obstructions, we pulled out the sail and enjoyed the quietness and freedom that our sailboat provides.
One of the best parts of sailing is when the engine goes off, the winches are done doing their job and the boat moves effortlessly slicing through the waves. There’s the sound of seafoam spraying from the hull and the wind propelling the sail.

We visited a beach at Governor's Harbor for the day and found these dogs to be quite fun! Oh, and the beach was gorgeous!
Discovering Ten Bay and Governor's Harbor on Eleuthera - Episode 35
We spend a little more time in Rock Sound, then sail up to Ten Bay where we find one of the best beaches we have seen in the Bahamas so far. It was so good we stayed an extra day.
We then sail up to Governor's Harbor and explore the different shops around town. We should have stayed there longer as well :)
Sorry for the late upload, we had a crossing yesterday, and then some storms, and the video just didn't get pulled together until this morning.
