DIVING Bunaken, Lembeh, Olele, Hiking Tangkoko MANADO, NORTH SULAWESI
Welcome to the NORTH SULAWESI - Containing some of the best diving and Trekking in Indonesia.
Join me in this Episode where I take my motorbike Gorontalo to Manado. Arriving at some unique scuba diving sites starting with Olele in Gorontalo, Bunaken marine park and islands, and Lembeh straight.
I also do some hiking to the beautiful Gunung Ambang close to Kotomabagu, Modoinding. And I visit the incredible Tangkoko National park.
The trip carries on from where I left last week in the Togean Islands, I took the ferry to Gorontalo and then visited Olele which is a small marine park in Gorontalo. Here you can see the Salvador Dali Sponge. Which is endemic to this area.
I then leave to enter North Sulawesi and go directly up to KotaMobagu and stay in the village of Modoinding so I can hike up to the first real volcano I have seen in Sulawesi, Gunung Ambang.
From there I head to Manado city and take the ferry to Bunaken island, Which is Indonesias oldest marine park and is incredible. many sea turtles and a vast array of other sea creatures and fishes. I stayed and Panorama Dive Resort and had the best dive guide, Yopi.
From here I drove my motorbike to Bitung and took the ferry to Lembeh island and stayed at Lembeh dive lodge. This area is amazing and full of mimic octopus, wonderpus, blue ring octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish and many many other weird sea critters.
Finally I visit Tangkoko national park and sea the endemic animals such as the Black Crested Macaque and tarsier.

Thanks to Mr. Yunus of Miguel Divers who lives in Olele, I was able to arrange a dive close by, using a local boat as a dive boat. Clown trigger fish, grouper, lionfish, a turtle, a morey eel and razor fish made for a pleasant dive ranging from 15-20 meters before we ascended for our 3-minute, 5-meter safety stop before surfacing.

Bentuk bangunan Terminal Pelabuhan Ferry “Uebone” Di Kab. Tojo Una-Una mengadopsi bentuk depan kapal ferry pada sisi kanan dan kiri bangunan sedangkan pada bagian tengah menggunakan bentuk gelombang laut, selain untuk mempertahankan faktor estetika juga lebih terkoneksi antara bentuk dan fungsi bangunan.
Kabupaten Tojo Una-Una adalah salah satu daerah tingkat II di provinsi Sulawesi Tengah, Indonesia. Ibu kota kabupaten ini terletak di Kota Ampana. Wilayah Kabupaten Tojo Una-Una terbagi dua, yaitu wilayah daratan dan kepulauan. Kabupaten Tojo Una-Una memilki 12 kecamatan yaitu :

Kapal Penyeberangan penumpang KMP. TUNA TOMINI ini milik PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) atau PT Angkutan Sungai, Danau, dan Penyeberangan Indonesia Ferry (Persero) adalah sebuah badan usaha milik negara Indonesia yang bergerak di bidang transportasi air. Fungsi utama perusahaan ini adalah menyediakan akses transportasi publik antar pulau yang bersebelahan, serta menyatukan pulau-pulau besar sekaligus menyediakan akses transportasi publik ke wilayah yang belum memiliki penyeberangan.
Pada Tahun 1973, PT Indonesia Ferry (Persero) bernama Proyek ASD Ferry (PASDF) kemudian berubah menjadi Perum ASDP pada tahun 1986 dan selanjutnya tahun 1993 menjadi PT ASDP (Persero). Beralihnya status Perum ASDP menjadi Perusahaan Perseroan mengartikan bahwa pola usahanya diharapkan mampu bersaing dengan perusahaan swasta maupun badan usaha negara lainnya tanpa meninggalkan fungsinya sebagai penyedia penyeberangan perintis. Pada tanggal 5 Agustus 2008, dengan disaksikan oleh Deputi Bidang Usaha Logistik dan Pariwisata Kementerian BUMN dan Wakil Ketua Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi, PT Indonesia Ferry (Persero) melakukan penandatanganan Pakta Integritas yang menandai diberlakukannya perubahan struktural perseroan dimulai dari perubahan nama dan logo dari PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) menjadi PT Indonesia Ferry (Persero), redefinisi visi dan misi, penegasan usaha pokok, penciptaan usaha penunjang, revitalisasi dan investasi alat produksi, restrukturisasi total serta rencana strategis bisnis. Semua hal tersebut diharapkan dapat mengubah posisi PT Indonesia Ferry (Persero) menjadi BUMN yang dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi negara.
