Mbudzi roundabout is at the intersection of Simon Mazorodze, Chitungwiza and High Glen Roads that feed traffic from western Chitungwiza and many old and new suburbs into Harare city centre as well as the heavy national and regional traffic on the Harare-Masvingo highway.
Construction of the vital Mbudzi Interchange Flyover in southern Harare is expected to start very soon, with contractors moving on site today to work on detour roads for diversion of the perennial heavy streams of traffic using the grossly congested roundabout.

An African Adventure
One year ago today, we landed just outside of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Over the next three and a half weeks, we had the pleasure of exploring several countries throughout the African continent.
It began on Christmas morning, when we woke up early and started our 9-day hike to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. A week later, just after sunrise on New Year’s Day, all 12 members of our group reached the roof of Africa. As you’ll see, this accomplishment was overwhelmingly emotional for all of us.
The day after returning from the mountain, we set off for the Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks (with a quick visit to the Ngorongoro Crater). For four nights we camped throughout the vast plains of this sacred land. Along the way, we encountered countless animals and awe-inspiring visits.
Before long, we found ourselves at the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, along the Zambezi River, to view the awesome power of Victoria Falls. We toured the length of the falls, swam along the Zambezi river, and even bungee jumped from the bridge connecting to the two countries that share the majesty of the falls.
Finally, our trip concluded in the desert oasis of Namibia. Here we explored the Pacific coast of southern Africa, visited the graves of trees one thousand years deceased, and immersed ourselves in endless horizons of wind-swept sand dunes.
As you can imagine, this trip took far longer than the three weeks it lasted to fully distill and appreciate. Being in such an unfamiliar part of the world provides a perspective that is unattainable without first-hand experience.
I constantly think about the benevolence of the people we met. The beauty and diversity of the land is almost incomprehensible. Our adventures, despite being more than plentiful, represent a tiny fraction of the experiences to be had throughout this vast continent.
The video I’m presenting to you is an attempt to relay some of the experiences we enjoyed.
