Гемлик, Gemlik расположен на восточном побережье залива Гемлик в зеленом городе Бурса, между Орхангази-Ялова и Муданья, к северу от центра Бурсы. Гемлик - один из самых старейших городов в области Бурсы. Это портовый город на побережье Мраморного моря, находится в 29 км от Бурсы. Крупный морской порт и курорт в восточной части залива Гемлик славится своими песчаными пляжами и оливковыми рощами вдоль побережья. Этот город известен производством маслин, оливкового масла и пасты, считающимися лучшими в Турции ????
Вообще, если верить легендам и мифам древней Греции, то именно аргонавты заложили основу города Гемлик, остановившись на побережье Мраморного моря в поисках товарища Иласа, которого они отправили сюда за водичкой. Но если вы не верите, что аргонавты существуют, то согласно официальным данным город был основан в 625 г. до н. э греками. Город они назвали Киос (др.-греч. Κιος).
Позже он оказался под властью лидийцев, а потом и персов. Пока Киос переходил из рук в руки, его завоевывает Александр Македонский. Начинается период правления римлян. С 112 г. здесь распространяется христианство и Киос становится летним дачным местом для Византийских императоров. В 1300 году под предводительством Османа I турки забирают Бурсу, а спустя два года осады и Киос.
Битва религий также не обошла стороной и Киос во время первой мировой войны, вследствие которой греческое население было вынуждено покинуть город на грузовых судах. Согласно Лозаннскому мирному договору правительства Турции и Греции договорились об обмене населением. Так Киос стал Гемликом.
Что же делать в городе?
Обязательно прогуляться по набережной, перекусить в местном кафе или выпить кофе на пристани, осмотреться в центре города, побывать в мечети Асима Коджабыйыка, покормить(погладить) милых котят возле заброшенной и закрытой мечети Хаджы Керима.
Ехать специально из Стамбула в Гемлик не стоит, но если вы проезжаете мимо, то обязательно загляните. Здесь и отели есть ????
