In September 2023, I embarked on an unforgettable journey to the captivating land of Armenia. This country exudes a unique charm that's hard to put into words. Notably, Armenia is a gem for adventurous hitch-hikers seeking unparalleled experiences.
My primary objective was to hike on the Aragats, Armenia's highest peak, soaring to 4,090 meters above sea level. The hike was as challenging as it was rewarding, offering breathtaking vistas.
A significant part of my exploration revolved around Yerevan, the enchanting capital of Armenia. Yerevan boasts an array of captivating monuments, such as the iconic Mother Armenia Monument and the artistic Cascade Complex. You'll also encounter a multitude of splendid churches dotting the cityscape, bearing witness to Armenia's rich cultural heritage. What's unmissable in Yerevan is the omnipresent influence of Soviet architecture.
Beyond the urban allure, Armenia offers more places to visit. The Garni Temple and the ancient Geghard Monastery beckon with their awe-inspiring beauty in mountains. For a remarkable view of the legendary Mount Ararat, head to the Chor Virap Church. Etchmiadzin Cathedral and Zvartnots Cathedral provide a passage back in time through their historical significance, while Sevanavank Monastery graces the picturesque shores of Lake Sevan.
My video also captures an exciting trek around Azhdahak, commencing in Geghard and culminating by the serene Sevan Lake. This hike was a unique opportunity to connect with warm-hearted locals, and one memorable encounter was with a friendly shepherd tending to his sheep.

V září 2023 jsem se vydal na nezapomenutelnou cestu do okouzlující Arménie. Tento stát v sobě skrývá jedinečné kouzlo, které je těžké popsat slovy. Armenie je známá jako ráj pro stopaře, kteří hledají neuvěřitelné zážitky.
Mým hlavním cílem bylo vyjít na Aragats, nejvyšší horu Arménie, s výškou 4 090 metrů. Tato túra byla velmi náročná, ale obohacující s dechberoucími výhledy.
Důležitou část mého objevování tvořil Jerevan, hlavní město Arménie. Jerevan se může pochlubit řadou různách památek, jako je ikonická socha Matky Arménie a umělecký Cascade Complex. Také narazíte na mnoho nádherných kostelů, které nesou důkazy o bohatém kulturním dědictví Arménie. Co je v Jerevanu nezaměnitelné, je všudypřítomný vliv sovětské architektury.
Mimo městskou přitažlivost nabízí Arménie i další místa k návštěvě. Garni Temple a klášter Geghard lákají svou úchvatnou krásou v horách. Pro pozoruhodný pohled na legendární horu Ararat navštivte kostel Chor Virap. Katedrála Etchmiadzin a trosky katedrály Zvartnots nás provádějí zpět v čase historií arménie, zatímco klášter Sevanavank zdobí břehy jezera Sevan.
Moje video také zachycuje vzrušující trek kolem Azhdahaku, začínající v Geghardu a končící u jezera Sevan. Tato túra byla jedinečnou příležitostí k setkání si místními obyvateli. Hlavně nezapomenutelné bylo setkání s jedním pastyřem ovcí, který nás opil vodkou.
